What are you up to this year for New Year’s Eve? Normally we celebrate in a pretty laid back way- but of course I like my makeup to look FIERCE!
When I think of NYE, I always want to bring out my best features. You’re probably thinking, “Stephanie, shouldn’t that be all the time?” & okay you might have a point. What I mean is that NYE tends to be the closest I get to “clubbing” since we’re such lame 20-somethings. I love the lighting & the glitz- much of which tends to reflect highlighter like the best spotlight ever. Using some items from the Mirabella Beauty Faerie Holiday Collection, I’m going to demo how to really get your glow on & especially make blue eyes pop- because that’s what I love to do.

The Maybelline Master Hi-Light Powdered products fall into either the blush or bronzer category. I believe there have been a few limited edition releases but there are 6 total in the permanent range. Confession time… I bought the Stila Not So Nude Palette within a set called the Stila Natural Born Bombshell Set…which is unfortunately no longer available. I know I’m super late to this review & shame on me! BUT the excellent thing about this set is that everything inside is still available…so take that as you will! I love Stila products normally so when I found the photos I thought were lost on a missing card I knew I wanted to share ASAP! Fall- is it here yet? With all these beautiful fall releases I feel like it must be riiiight over there waiting in the wings. The Tarte Limited Edition Rainforest After Dark Disk Palette definitely has me feeling the fall-ish spirit as I finally get to transition to my gorgeous plummy/taupe looks. Too Faced came out with these beautiful palettes a long time ago…& I’ve just been sitting around on them. I know- shame on me. Say hello to the highlighter to end all highlighters. I love highlighters so much so when I got this gorgeous little baby from It Cosmetics in the mail I was quite excited. A highlighter! Right up my alley! The It Cosmetics Hello Light Anti-Aging Radiance Creme is pretty much the only highlighter I’ve reached for in weeks & I’m going to tell you why. Plus, get ready to need yet another brush because there simply isn’t another like it!
When it comes to a true highlight (I love shimmer powders but they don’t look as natural on me) I want something that I can wear just over moisturizer or with a full face of makeup. It needs to look real & like I was somehow born with the ability to glow on command. Ah if I only had that kind of superpower! Well, I guess, now I kind of do.
Now onto the shining star of this post, the It Cosmetics Hello Light Anti-Aging Radiance Creme. This specific products was designed to blur away fine lines, provide skin with the look of vitality without glitter or shimmer, & to nourish your skin while warding off free-radicals all day long. It automatically lifts & brightens your skin but you won’t even feel it. This is the thinnest veil of creme ever.
Use the back of the box to note what parts of your face you most want to bring forward, add light, & brighten. Again, you can use this on bare skin or foundation & it looks so naturally radiant…it is now considered a must have. This is now entered into my Holy Grail products which is a rarity.
