Fall- is it here yet? With all these beautiful fall releases I feel like it must be riiiight over there waiting in the wings. The Tarte Limited Edition Rainforest After Dark Disk Palette definitely has me feeling the fall-ish spirit as I finally get to transition to my gorgeous plummy/taupe looks. I also paired this look with the Tarte Limited Edition Lip Surgence Lip Gloss in Envy which is- well it is amazing to cut myself short. Keep reading to check these beauties out!
Tarte Rainforest After Dark Disk Palette + Envy Gloss Swatches, Review, & Demo Tarte Rainforest After Dark Disk Palette + Envy Gloss Swatches, Review, & DemoThis whole collection has gorgeous packaging consisting of rich purple, gold, & snakes. It sounds odd perhaps but totally works! I also reviewed my new favorite eyeliner which is a duo from Tarte in ONE pan here from the same collection! The Tarte Rainforest After Dark Palette is a large, sturdy plastic disk with faux wood & that sassy snack on top. Notice the LE snakeskin atop the gloss as well!

The palette contains one full size blush in Unleased, ample sizes of the Champagne Highlight & Park Ave. Princess Bronzer, & 6 coordinating eyeshadows. You can see there isn’t a bunch of unwasted space but also enough so that your colors shouldn’t spread to other shades. The size is perfect for a weekend getaway, work trip, or to take with you for touch ups. I could see doing a lighter eye look then transforming from day to night later on as well.

Champagne is a somewhat golden neutral highlighter & Unleashed is a very soft matte rose blush from the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush line that is limited to this palette. The Park Ave Princess Bronzer is one I really enjoy & is matte- it looks more orange in the swatch but blends in naturally to my fair skin with some blending.

Top row we have Bare to Explore (pink-toned beige matte), Make A Mauve (softened plum toned taupe satin), & Plum Away With Me (frosted warm cranberry plum).

Bottom row are Up to No Gold (soft warm metallic gold), Tan-gled Up in You (matte medium brown), & Don’t Turn A-brown (matte dark brown).

The Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Gloss in Envy is a plummy natural shade that applies more naturally.

On my eyes I have the Tarte Rainforest After Dark Palette in a somewhat natural look since that is what I’ve been getting requests for lately. On my lashes I have my Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara (review here), Eyeliner is the Tarte Limited Edition Amazonian Clay Dual Liner in Black/Bronze that I recently reviewed here, & this is the brow routine I used here.

Here you can see the blush in Unleashed & Champagne Highlight used lightly from the palette. I have the Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer as a base then used my Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation. On my lips is the Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Gloss in Envy which I’m so sad is limited edition because I think it looks naturally plummy- something that I find rare!

The Tarte Rainforest After Dark Palette is still available from Sephora, Ulta, & Macy’s but snatch it up while you can since it is limited edition! Just the face products in this are worth the price for me since they’re shades I find really flattering on my fair skin. I also see myself especially reaching for the shade Make A Mauve because I don’t think I have anything like it!

What are your favorite palettes for Fall 2014? Are you picking up this beautiful option?
