You guys are excited for the Urban Decay Wired Collection– & so am I! This is one of the most requested reviews I’ve ever had come across my instagram! I have the Wired Pressed Pigment Palette as well but today we’re going to talk about what I think the standout of this collection is- the limited edition NEON eyeliners in the famous 24/7 formula! Keep reading for swatches & thoughts on the Urban Decay WIRED Collection 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Jolt, Amped, Shock, & Vivid!
From Urban Decay:
24/7 GLIDE-ON EYE PENCIL, $22.00 (LE)
Add electricity to every look with four neon shades of Wired 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil. This notoriously creamy formula glides on and won’t budge once it dries. Made with 50% hydrating ingredients like Vitamin E plus jojoba and cottonseed oils, this longwear eyeliner nourishes while applying super-smoothly (it won’t skip or pull!).
Swatches left to right: Amped, Vivid, Jolt, & Shock.
These are swatched on bare skin, no primer or other products. I opted to do multiple swipes of each color to show the shade built-up & to the right is one swipe of each color. I tried to apply medium, normal pressure like when I apply to my lid.
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in JOLT- a vibrant lime chartreuse green with warm tones in a creamy matte formula
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in VIVID- a bright, electric blue with cool tones in a creamy matte formula
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in SHOCK- a soft medium to deeper pale lavender in a creamy matte formula
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in AMPED- a bright magenta pink in a creamy matte formula
So what about the formula? These are pretty consistent across the board. Creamy & very long-wearing, especially for bright shades. Shock is a bit more patchy & takes a little more work than the others. Still, purples are also the most difficult & this shade in particular is possibly my favorite because I’ve had some truly terrible lavender makeup products. Jolt is probably the most unique of the bunch- I don’t know that I’ve ever had a true chartreuse shade of liner. Amped & Vivid both apply the most pigmented & I predict they’ll be the two people jump on most! Time to play favorites? Honestly I genuinely enjoy all 4 of these & I feel like they were exactly the right shades for this collection.
I will be reviewing the Urban Decay Wired Pressed Pigment Palette soon! I’ve been playing with color combos, application, brushes, & which shades I like together. Any colors in particular you love here & want to see together?
You can purchase the Urban Decay Wired Collection on the Urban Decay website, ULTA, Sephora, Macy’s, & Nordstrom. Collections are released first on the UD website then roll out to other retailers so if you don’t see them yet, be sure to check back!
