What are you up to this year for New Year’s Eve? Normally we celebrate in a pretty laid back way- but of course I like my makeup to look FIERCE!
When I think of NYE, I always want to bring out my best features. You’re probably thinking, “Stephanie, shouldn’t that be all the time?” & okay you might have a point. What I mean is that NYE tends to be the closest I get to “clubbing” since we’re such lame 20-somethings. I love the lighting & the glitz- much of which tends to reflect highlighter like the best spotlight ever. Using some items from the Mirabella Beauty Faerie Holiday Collection, I’m going to demo how to really get your glow on & especially make blue eyes pop- because that’s what I love to do.
Here we have 4 items from the Mirabella Faerie collection- Swirling Pearl Brilliant Highlighter, Gossamer Colour Luxe Lip Gloss, Luminosity Colour Luxe Lip Gloss, & Myth Visionary Long Wear Eyeshadow. The Swirling Pearl Brilliant Highlighter is just beautiful in the packaging & on the skin can be a subtle glow or built up for maximum effect. Gossamer is a soft pink with fine shimmer that I fine to be quite neutral & would look nice on anyone. Luminousity is a slightly beige toned base with fine pink & white glitter that is very fine & gives the perfect fullness to the center of the lips. Myth Visionary Long Wear Eyeshadow might be my very favorite thing- the texture is spongy, the color is a rich coppery brown with red tones, & it lasts all throughout the day.
For a New Year’s Eve look, I wanted to incorporate all four products how I thought they’d be more flattering on myself. I paired this rich eyeshadow with a few matte shades blended in my crease to define it a bit. I made sure my skin looked glowy & opted for a barely there blush to really let it shine. For my lips I layered the glosses for my fullest effect.
On my eyes I really wanted to let the Mirabella Myth Visionary Long Wear Eyeshadow shine & it really does all the work for me by making my eye look so blue! I added some easy winged eyelighter then foiled a bit of the Swirling Pearl Brilliant Highlighter for my inner corners for a dramatic, brightening effect. I topped it off with full lashes & some black eyeliner for added drama.
The Swirling Pearl Brilliant Highlighter is so gorgeous that I couldn’t help but use it on my eyes- you can see that better here! It will also make you look less tired if you normally curl up in bed early like me! I then topped my cheekbones & swirled in a C shape above my brows. I added a healthy dose to my cupid’s bow as well & blended well.
To finish off my look I took Gossamer all over my lips for a naturally glossy look & added Luminosity to the center of my bottom lip & blended. This helps draw light to make my small lips look a bit fuller.
