Can you believe we’re exiting fall soon? Time has flown by. I’ve taken a few days to spend with my family & relax a bit. I hope you’re having a lovely break too if you’re here in the US! For Thanksgiving I usually do pretty minimal makeup & we are always casual in out family. So where do I bring the bling? My nails of course! I played with foils & absolutely love the outcome. Keep reading to check it out!
For years now I’ve been buying nail art supplies from Dollar Nail Art. They don’t have any kind of affiliation etc. but I still wanted to share since that’s where my items are from! Basically everything is $1 & the foils are 1 inch by 5 feet long…so they basically last forever if you don’t use them a ton. I make orders sparatically for mini splurges for fun & it has really helped me play with items that normally cost much more.
For this look I used 5 foils total- one on each finger! The shades here are the Nail Art Foils in Peach Burst, Lime Glitter, Gold Crush, Tangerine Glitter, & Bronze Glitter. The company I purchase from actually include an adhesive…but I don’t like it. It reminds me of a peel off base & it just doesn’t last long enough for me personally. I actually use a regular top coat as a base & then apply SHINY SIDE UP while still tacky. It takes tonssss of practice to use them all over the nail without gaps so don’t get frustrated. I just dab a bit of top coat on bald spots & re-foil without issues.
I have Peach Burst on my thumb, Lime Glitter on my pointer, Gold Crush on my pointer, Tangerine Glitter on my ring finger, & Bronze Glitter on my pinky. I wanted to show variations in lighting so you can see how spectacular & completely different each foil is. I absolutely love nail polish but there is definitely something really special about foils too!
I hope you are having an amazing holiday! What are you wearing for Thanksgiving if you celebrate? What are you favorite autumn shades this year?
