Too Faced came out with these beautiful palettes a long time ago…& I’ve just been sitting around on them. I know- shame on me. I have had these for a really long time because my husband gifted them to me as a surprise…but I haven’t got an excuse for why they haven’t made it onto the blog yet! Both palettes are beautifully packaged, have nice pigmentation, & are oh-so-summery! Keep reading to check out the Too Faced A La Mode Palette & the Bonjour Soleil Palette!
First here is the deal with these palettes in general- A La Mode is a 9 pan eyeshadow palette & Bonjour Soleil is a face palette. The packaging is super cute & each is packaged in a tin. These were purchased separately but I’ve waited so long I thought I’d put them together to show you guys how I wear them.
This palette has some gorgeous pops of color & pretty nice pigmentation. This definitely isn’t a palette for matte- lovers unless you’re willing to work in another couple of shadows. I think the highlight shades are awfully similar- I would have loved a true matte there. Another shade that would have been fun would have been a white/cream with a colored sheen- kind of like a transformer shade? With this palette being so fun that would have been gorgeous!
You can see the swatches here over ELF primer- I think these shades swatch & apply beautifully. You can see De La Mer really comes alive at different angles- this is one of my favorite kinds of smoky shades because it catches the light. Cannes & Soleil are likely my favorites which is why you’ll see them in the look below! They make my eyes look so BLUE! Jardin is also gorgeous & I love that touch of gold on the eye.
I was really not sure if I was going to buy the Too Faced Bonjour Soleil palette because I don’t wear dark bronzers very often but after Ryan brought it home as a gift I was pretty happy. The packaging, the pigmentation, the cocoa scent….these are some of my favorite face products from Too Faced so what was I thinking not wanting to pick it up? The brush is really cute & usable which is nice- but I would have rather had it outside the palette. The smaller the better because then I’m more likely to bring it for travel! You have the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer, Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer, & Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer from the left to right.
Inside you have this handy information sheet. The shades look awful on my hand because I’m so fair but I promise I like them on my skin! I didn’t own the Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer & I’m actually surprised with how much I like it both on my eyes & on the tops of my cheeks! I still think I want to buy the Too Faced Candlelight Glow Duo though…
On my eyes I have the Too Faced A La Mode Palette– on my lid is Cannes, in my crease is Soleil, & as a highlight I used St. Tropez. I LOVE this look & have repeated it multiple times! In case you missed this nail art (which I ADORE!) I will link that riiiight here!
Have you picked up either of these palettes? Any favorite combos? What palettes are you loving this summer?
