Pigments have always had a special place in my heart. I discovered really cheap formulas when I was in middle school but they were absolutely the best. Back in the day, the drugstore just didn’t have very many good eyeshadows. Discovering pigments opened up so many options. Granted…I probably should’ve have been allowed to rock baby blue metallics as much as I did…but that is in the past. Today I’m talking about the Make Up For Ever Star Lit Powder Pigments– they’re incredibly stunning & the formula is pretty flawless. Keep reading to see all my shades! [Read more…]
Mermaids. Ocean waves. Sparkle. These are a few of my favorite things! One of my absolute favorites in 2016 from any brand is this palette right here (see my swatches & review here!). I’ve already done one look using it- a pinky/orange warm sparkle (see it here!) but I honestly reach for this green just as much! Keep reading to see more photos, what products I used, & a little video bonus! [Read more…]
If you’ve ever been into a Sephora or watched a youtube video- you’ve likely heard of Becca highlighters. They carry other pretty amazing products (I have my eye on those eyeshadows y’all) but their highlighters put them on the map in a huge way. Quite awhile back- I reveiwed two of my favorite powder highlighters from Becca here. But these poured highlighters? Just wow. One of the saddest makeup moments is when something you love gets discontinued. Bruise from Urban Decay was one of those shades for me. I even had a gloss (I believe in Gash) to match! This was a product I saved up money for & I absolutely loved it. The memory still rings true- & now that I have it back as part of the Urban Decay Vintage Vice Collection of lipsticks brought back from the 90’s vault…I feel that attraction to the shade all over again! Keep reading to see more about the vintage shades in the gorgeously smooth Urban Decay Vice lipstick formula!
Sometimes there’s a color that is just worth a bit of a splurge. Whether you’re looking to treat yourself or just love Deborah Lippmann (YAAAS)- here are five beautiful shades I’m seriously feeling right now. After the bustle of the holidays I tend to try to distance myself from distinctive shades that make me look behind-the-curve. All five of the lacquers are more than just a pretty formula, they’re also perfect for winter & just about any other season!
Currently I’m in California for IMATS LA & before I was gone for the holidays. There was this blissful moment between where I got to check my mail. & there was this gorgeous KBShimmer Birthstone collection just waiting for me to freak out. This sparkling collection contains 12 shades related to….you guessed it…birthstones! I’m one of those people who is pretty into horoscopes, signs, elements, & even birthstones so I knew I needed mine. When all 12 were waiting for me I couldn’t have been more excited- keep reading to check them all out! [Read more…]
I didn’t have any idea how hard I’d fall in love with this collection until I swatched it. Zoya puts out some of my very favorite collections but I tend to lean towards a glossy or even textured finish. These are a stunning satin matte & wow are they eye-catching. In fact…I’m wearing my favorite as I type. Keep reading to see them all in action & hear my thoughts!
I’m a big fan of shimmer…metallics…shiny. But I have to be really careful along my cheeks because they tend to be more dry. So far I’ve only reviewed Gabriel nail polishes (check out the Gabriel Color BLOCKade Nail Polish Collection Swatches & Review here) so I was really excited to try something more in the makeup realm. I don’t normally do a gold highlight because I’m so fair & I think it can look kind of harsh but this one actually works really well! Keep reading to check it out! [Read more…]
I am still incredibly in love with my Lorac Pro Palette (full review here!). It made my yearly favorites (check them out here!) but it is so much more than that. Many of my go-to shades are in this palette & they really work for me. When the 2nd palette came out I was also immensely excited. Like more than a normal person should be about a palette? I picked this up quite awhile ago but I really wanted to use the heck out of it before reviewing…& now I have! Get ready because my Lorac Pro 2 Eyeshadow Palette review is right here right now!
