I feel like Too Faced made this palette just for me. Right when we moved back to Las Vegas it came out- coincidence? Either way this Too Faced collaboration with Vegas Nay (aka Naomi Giannopoulos & @Vegas_Nay on instagram!) is a stunner! I picked it up awhile back but I really wanted to play with it a bit before reviewing. I’m a palette junkie but I’m also really picky! Keep reading to see what is included in this kit & what I think of it!
Inside this kit there is an eyeshadow palette, deluxe sample size of the Better Than Sex Mascara, Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eyeshadow Primer, & a lovely Deluxe Glamour Dust Glitter Pigment in Nude Beam. This is quite a bit of stuff! The packaging is also really secure with a whole inner, fold out addition too. If you’re planning to ship this or give it as a gift- I trust it!
You also get 6 eyeshadow looks on helpful little cards. Here they are for reference! On the back there are step-by-step guides that are really helpful. I love additions like this because they show recommended color combinations & ideas you might not have considered. Handy!
Most makeup fans are probably familiar with the mascara & eye primer here but the pigment is new to me! The Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is a big favorite & I use this primer pretty frequently! The Too Faced Deluxe Glamour Dust Glitter Pigment in Nude Beam is a neutral to warm champagne that really glitters! I wish they had included some kind of glitter adhesive with this kit because pigments like this really benefit from it.
The big star of this kit is the Too Faced Star Dust Palette by Vegas Nay. The palette is kind of an interesting packaging choice without a mirror or applicator which is rare for Too Faced holiday/LE items. Although I wish this had a mirror, I can appreciate the very thin, cardboard packaging. I’m not sure how well it would travel personally but it does feel sturdy!
Inside you have a palette of 12 eyeshadows in varying finishes. This palette is overall warm on me but it does have some more neutral shades as well. Definitely a Vegas type theme with the desert-type shades I see here all the time plus some bling that is more wearable.
Chandelier- A creamy slightly-warm white with a satin finish. This blends right into my skin but it has nice pigmentation
Millennial- A peachy, medium brown with warm tones & a matte finish. Consistent pigmentation.
Girl’s Night- A deeper burgundy-toned warm brown with a matte finish. A bit stiff but buildable & even.
#selfie- A pale, warm metallic white. This works as almost a transformer shade when used lightly.
Showgirl- A copper-toned brown with a warm, metallic finish. This has stunning pigmentation & consistency.
Jackpot- A deep brown with warm undertones packed with golden glitter. Fabulous texture, especially with the glitter! You can actually see it on the skin.
Swatches left to right on bare skin, no primer- Chandelier, Millennial, Girl’s Night, #selfie, Showgirl, & Jackpot.
Pink Pearl- A brightened soft lavender with pinky tones & a metallic finish. Soft & blendable.
The Strip- A lavender/pinky based silvered grey with a metallic finish & a bit of sparse copper shimmer. The copper doesn’t really show up on the eye unfortunately.
Follow Me- A medium violet purple with cool undertones & a cool blue-ish sheen. This is a bit stiff but built up well. Needed a bit more work to blend.
Double Tap- A medium burgundy with brown undertones & a matte finish with a sprinkling of micro-shimmer. On the eye this looks totally matte & is buildable on the eye.
Golden Nugget- A brightened light to medium gold metallic with some golden flecks. This is a bit chunkier & definitely needs a primer on the eye so it will adhere.
Sin City- A medium to deep matte black with decent pigmentation.
Swatches left to right on bare skin, no primer- Pink Pearl, The Strip, Follow Me, Double Tap, Golden Nugget, & Sin City.
I’m quite happy with this kit! I pretty much just bought it for the eyeshadow palette but the extras are lovely as well. The burgundy notes in this palette are just so pretty & so wearable for these colder months too! I also think $45 is a fair price, you can purchase this from ULTA now for a limited time I think! I can see this palette really looking lovely on everyone as well- the tones are lovely.
Have you tried any of these items? Planning to pick them up? Any favorite shades? I’d love to hear about them in the comments! Also any eyeshadow tutorials or looks you’d like to see?
