I feel like Too Faced made this palette just for me. Right when we moved back to Las Vegas it came out- coincidence? Either way this Too Faced collaboration with Vegas Nay (aka Naomi Giannopoulos & @Vegas_Nay on instagram!) is a stunner! I picked it up awhile back but I really wanted to play with it a bit before reviewing. I’m a palette junkie but I’m also really picky! Keep reading to see what is included in this kit & what I think of it! [Read more…]
Thanks Physician’s Formula and Her Campus Media for partnering on this post!
Have you ever looked at your lashes & did a big shrug? That would be me. I take a certain medication that often makes me lose the fullness of my formerly fabulous lashes & boy does it hit me hard. There’s just something about my eyelashes that I take seriously; I choose mascara over pretty much anything else! I feel way more confident & glamorous with big lashes so I’m always looking for the best. If you want longer, fuller lashes then keep reading to check out the drugstore option Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit! [Read more…]
Glossybox really did an awesome job with their love themed box for February. The packaging is so cute (another box I’m definitely keeping for storage!) & the products were definitely on point. Everything in this box was themed around Valentine’s Day & has that same pink or red feel. & EVERYTHING is a full size too! Keep reading to check it all out! [Read more…]
Pixi is one of those brands I recommend to everyone. You can pick it up at Target, it is affordable, & it tends to perform like something you’d buy at a high-end store. From the cute but functional packaging to innovative products most people can afford, Pixi tends to really impress me. Check out some new-to-me products from Pixi including the nail polish shade Gilded Garnet, Correction Concealer in Brightening Peach, & more! [Read more…]

Today I wanted to take a break from holiday posts just for a moment to bring in a post I’ve had waiting in the wings since before I even cut my hair. I took these photos when I realized I was using some of my favorite products in my collection & realized this would probably be helpful to share. My collection is pretty vast so the go-to items are really important to me. & some have been around for ages. I just love favorites don’t you?
Have you ever picked up a lipstick & thought “I could wear this with everything…”? It is rare for me. I really do switch out lip colors seasonally & quite often so it is a pretty big deal. If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile now then you likely know I grew up raiding my mother’s Lancome stash. It was a pretty big deal. Although I know for a fact I’ve been using this lipstick for 5 years at a minimum…it is likely more like 10. I think it was 3-5 years ago that my mom & I randomly started a conversation talking about our favorite purse lipstick…& it was the same one. The one I’m wearing above is Lancome Color Design Lipstick in Love It! which is probably the best thing ever. I mean- that name? Was it not meant to be a favorite? This is the perfect, creamy pink & you’ll find it in my purse at all times. [Read more…]
When Covergirl reached out to me about the #GirlsCan campaign I was amped. Empowerment? Breaking down barriers? Dress for Success donations? Check, check & CHECK! I am a huge fan of Dress for Success as I’ve had friends be able to be their best professional selves with their help. Covergirl will be donating $50,000 but if you want to win a $25 Walmart gift card from Covergirl keep reading & check out my eye look!
I’ve been using Covergirl products for…forever it seems like. Here I’m sharing some completely new ones to me to spice things up a bit. I also did an easy look that can translate into fall easily. & a lip color that is an instant new favorite.
The Covergirl Eye Enhancers Quad of eyeshadows in Sugar Coated is unlike any other shade selection I own from the drugstore- which is of course why it was the first one I grabbed. From left to right we have a warm honey neutral, softened sky blue with a touch of golden sheen, cool plum-toned brown, & a green-toned blackened teal. All of these shade contain shimmer but with a small array of neutral mattes it gives you some lovely options.
I haven’t tried a Covergirl blush in a long time so I opted for an old favorite- the Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Rock ‘n Rose. The pigmentation is soft & easy to blend so it works great on my fair skin. I actually don’t mine the touch of sheen other- I think it comes off as a healthy glow to further up the value of this rose shade.
I own quite a few Covergirl lipsticks but Euphoria has been on my list for some time! My local stores are always sold out but I snapped it up last time I was at Walmart! This is a pink-toned berry shade. It has an underlying brightness but is still so seasonally appropriate. Isn’t this color pretty?
Last up is the only Covergirl mascara i haven’t tried- Covergirl All-in-One Professional Mascara in Very Black. I’ll admit my love for Covergirl mascaras to random strangers but I love a more dramatic lash. If you like more natural looking lashes then this is quite nice & I think with some drying out it would layer up nicely. You can find the Covergirl #GirlsCan displays in the cosmetics section at Walmart for both the Profession & the Flamed Out Mascara.
Covergirl has graciously offered my readers a $25 Walmart Gift Card! Please enter using the rafflecopter widget below. This giveaway is open to US residents only. Please leave me any comments below telling me how you’ve turned a “can’t” into a “can” because I’d love to read them! Thanks so much for being awesome readers & good luck!
Tis the season to buy gifts! Frankly many of them are for myself but we don’t need to go there, right? Estee Lauder is a brand I tend to play around in when I go to certain stores but like many other similar brands I try to wait for a great deal. When I know a brand will put out an awesome holiday set I try to hold out as long as possible for hope’s sake that something I’ve been eyeing will be included. Without further chatter- here’s what is in this month’s holiday set!
This box is pretty gigantic & so is the case which I don’t mind at all. The packaging looks like a gift- who doesn’t love gifts? I found mine at my local BX but & actually don’t see it listed online anywhere yet…more on that below. [Read more…]
