What color eyeshadow makes your eyes really pop? I know there are all kinds of posts & ideas out there telling you all about that. But which color makes you really notice your own unique eye color? For me- it is purple & copper. I absolutely love the way my eyes look with both colors! But today I want to talk about this coppery eyeshadow look using all Urban Decay eyeshadows- especially from the Afterdark Palette ( I swatched & reviewed it here with a purple makeup look!) so keep reading to check it out! I get asked all the time- what’s some easy nail art? My honest response: Anything can be easy if you practice enough! But I get it. I hear where you’re coming from! For this look I used a bobby pin because it is a common tool- so no technical tools required! [Read more…]
Thanks Physician’s Formula and Her Campus Media for partnering on this post!
Have you ever looked at your lashes & did a big shrug? That would be me. I take a certain medication that often makes me lose the fullness of my formerly fabulous lashes & boy does it hit me hard. There’s just something about my eyelashes that I take seriously; I choose mascara over pretty much anything else! I feel way more confident & glamorous with big lashes so I’m always looking for the best. If you want longer, fuller lashes then keep reading to check out the drugstore option Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit! [Read more…]

Spring is the time of year when I actually go outside. This might sound strange to you but I’m actually being serious. Winter is cold. Summer is hot. Spring is that sweet season in between where I actually like to go out & enjoy the sunshine. During spring I really like to reach for products that look naturally beautiful but also some multi-tasking. Check out my look & ideas using Glo Minerals here!
When I’m traveling I have to severely limit my beauty hoarding. I do my best to avoid bringing unnecessary items that I normally use & instead opt for multi-taskers. Q-tips cotton swabs are an easy addition- I use them for a ridiculous amount of things. Both affordable & disposable, Q-tips are must-haves which I’m trying to get ready during the holidays. When I’m at someone else’s house I try not to leave a mess & they definitely help! Today I thought I’d show you my easy manicure routine that normally consists of many various items that I whittle down to my beloved Q-tips® Precision Tips™. [Read more…]
I didn’t grow up on Clinique products but they have certainly grown on me over the years. Since finding my absolute favorite moisturizer in their brand I’ve started branching out through their skincare & into makeup. Slowly but surely I knew I would make my way to the cult favorite shade Black Honey in some form…& today I’m sharing with you quite a few! After reading a bit about the history of the specific shade I thought a linkup with other beauty lovers would be amazing- different looks & different ages all showing how we wear Clinique’s Black Honey. Since this shade is supposed to be flattering on everyone I thought we would put it to the test!
For a bit of background, Clinique’s Black Honey is their best selling shade of their Almost Lipstick line ever. In fact, Clinique ships one tube of this lipstick every 2 minutes. EVERY 2 minutes. There is a lot of history behind this shade but also a good bit of logical science. Black Honey has remained a best-selling shade for the past decade but was actually released first in 1971. The shade was added to the Clinique Almost Lipstick range in 1989 (the year I was born, were we meant to be or what?) & has spanned generations of women. The color itself is comprised of red, blue, yellow, & orange pigments that mix in a sheer base despite the deep shade you see in the tube. Each woman should have her very own custom color straight from the tube- for every age & ethnicity. With well over 1,000 reviews on Makeup Alley I just had to see why this shade has endured. This little baby has been on my brows a lot lately- & with good reason. The NYX Eyebrow Gels are not only the first of their kind from the drugstore…but also a close dupe to the pricier Make Up For Ever options. I’ve actually had this shade for months & it was perfect in the humid months- they really last! I’ve found my favorite way to apply & lots of details which will be below! [Read more…]
Orange is the New Black is one of my favorite shows currently…so we quickly flew through the 2nd season. I’ll make sure not to reveal any major spoilers but this season was intense (which was expected) but also full of awesome twists. One of my favorite characters on the series (which is on Netflix for those who haven’t indulged yet!) is Nicky aka Nichols who is just a seriously awesome character. She’s rough one minute & understanding the next but always speaks her mind. In collaboration a few other vloggers & bloggers (linked below!) we sought to cover some of our favorite characters- keep reading to check out my look! [Read more…]
Ever fallen in love with a look so hard that you just repeat it over & over? I have been absolutely obsessed with the look & color combo so don’t be surprised if you see it in upcoming videos & such. With the humidity completely settled in & here to stay I’ve been looking at more comfortable/effortless skin & long wearing, comfortable makeup on the rest of my face. Keep reading to see how Laura Mercier makes this look possible! [Read more…]
