When I’m traveling I have to severely limit my beauty hoarding. I do my best to avoid bringing unnecessary items that I normally use & instead opt for multi-taskers. Q-tips cotton swabs are an easy addition- I use them for a ridiculous amount of things. Both affordable & disposable, Q-tips are must-haves which I’m trying to get ready during the holidays. When I’m at someone else’s house I try not to leave a mess & they definitely help! Today I thought I’d show you my easy manicure routine that normally consists of many various items that I whittle down to my beloved Q-tips® Precision Tips™.

Q-tips® Precision Tips™ are useful for just about everything when it comes to beauty. Need to blend out eyeshadow on the go? Clean up a bold lip? Need to reapply concealer to ridiculous spots on the skin? Well there you go! I’ve also used them for various other treatments- skincare, fixing eyebrows, putting something on a small spot, etc. But manicures while I’m traveling are pretty much my thing so I thought I’d start there!

Let me start with how I battle my poor, dry cuticles. I use whatever oil I have in a sample size (my skin loves oil!) & apply them to my cuticles using the Q-tips® Precision Tips™. Although the original are useful I prefer the Q-tips® Precision Tips™ more often for their slender tip. I love having a bit more control to work the oil into my semi-damaged cuticles so it doesn’t just get everywhere. No mess here! Often I do this step on a hotel bed while I watch TV & eat junk food…but that is optional.

One of the best ways to get nail polish to last longer is taking care of your nail beds. Pre-application take a Q-tip & apply a bit of acetone before applying a base coat or nail polish. Without this steps you can start your whole manicure with oils on the nail bed which makes it harder for polish to adhere.

If you’re anything like me, you will get polish places other than your nails. Use the Q-tips® Precision Tips™ to clean up any mess. You can then use the other side or a new swab to apply jewels, glitter, etc. for a super festive look. I left mine as-is…because I love this glittery look! You’ll save money using these & space…plus they’re multi-purpose. They’re great for beauty, home, DIY,… you name it.
