Benefit is known for a lot of things but the first that pops into my mind are blushes. Their boxed blushes are both iconic & super cute- like a small girly accessory. I steered clear of the boxed blushes for a long time until my husband bought me Benefit’s Rockateur & I totally fell in love. I recently picked up two more blushes that I will review soon but that won’t be half as exciting as this palette. If you love cute packaging & want more bang for your buck then Benefit’s Cheeky Sweet Spot Palette which has been released for Holiday 2014 is definitely a must have. With 5 permanent blushes, a bronzer, a cream highlighter, a brush, & an adorable tin…well it is a steal.
One of the reasons I steered clear of the boxed blushes for so long was because I worried they would take up a lot of space & be bulky. I love a gorgeous single but I’m definitely a palette girl at heart. If you have some of the same concerns then check out the breakdown of what you’re getting above. This palette retails for $36 & is worth $119. That’s a lot of blush!
I keep going on & on about the packaging so here it is! Isn’t it sweet? Ha. I haven’t gotten something in an actual tin in a very long time & it is decorated inside & out. Definitely reusable & on par with the season. It is quite a bit thicker & has a pointed top but I don’t think it will be too difficult to either depot or store as is. I was thinking about maybe storing holiday jewelry inside.
Right off the bat I want to point out that this blush palette won’t likely be for everyone. I’m very fair so for me this is perfection but I’m not sure how these shades would look on darker skintones. Because they’re all permanent shades you can check out other excellent bloggers to see it on them since these are well loved.
From upper left to right we have Dandelion first which is a very light, muted pink with soft golden shimmer. Next is Bella Bamba which is a shimmering pink. Last on that row is Sugarbomb which has 4 different shades so the color will depend on how you apply it. The next row starts with Hoola which is a cool-toned matte bronzer. Coralista is a famous coral shade that I’ve fallen for. The last shade is Rockateur which looks more peachy here than it should in the swatch?
Something BIG to point out is that this is a FULL SIZE Benefit Rockateur in this palette! You’ll also notice a mini Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter in a little sealed package- so cute! I actually reviewed another mini of it here. The brush is even more mini sized than those that come with the boxed powders & is simply adorable.
Overall I’m thrilled with this palette & I think (or rather I hope) I’ve finally rounded out the last few shades from Benefit that I really wanted to try. Again, I think this will likely suit lighter skintones but I definitely advise you checking around for other swatches. As quite the pale lady myself, I’m digging these colors so much!
I think this palette is a steal for $36.00 & you can purchase it from Sephora, ULTA, & Bloomingdales currently.
