The Stila Blue Realm Velvet Eye Shadow Palette almost didn’t end up in my hands. Let me clarify right off the jump here- this was a gift from my lovely, thoughtful, actually listened to me oooooooing & ahhhhhing husband. I didn’t break my low-buy / no-buy guys! (What’s a Beauty Low-Buy or No-Buy, Makeup FOMO, & Style Budgeting from an Anxious Consumer) The Stila Blue Realm Velvet Eyeshadow Palette immediately drew me in. Stila palettes are some of my favorites in the past…but I haven’t seen much lately that I’m interested in. Except the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows obviously because I will NOT shush about them! I saw it…swatched it…& apparently I was dramatic enough that he thought I deserved a present…so I am getting you the review before it is gone for good! [Read more…]
Every year I look forward to the ULTA 21 Days of Beauty where they roll out tons of deals worth snagging. This year I’m a bit late to the game though! Normally I am all about lip & eye products but this time I’m sharing the 3 face products I was most excited to try at a discounted rate. I picked these out myself & am excited to give you a bit of background so you can snap them up at a great deal!
When I’m ready to jump full-speed into the warmer months, the first thing I look for is a bit of color! Color is the fastest way to change up a look & something that can really make a look pop! Some of my favorite products to add a splash of color to my makeup are in this post & I even have a way to save some cash with ShopatHome.com– so keep reading to check it out! [Read more…]
March is basically over? Apparently? I’m not exactly sure how that happened since these 31-day months usually feel like they take forever! Either way, I’m happy about it! April is my month since it is my birthday, my mom’s birthday, & when I tend to put away the heavy snow gear. Because this is likely our last winter with legitimate snow since we move back to Las Vegas in a few month. Basically we’re jumping for joy- not snow people we quickly learned. So that’s also a favorite!
Whew! Okay back on topic! I skipped last month in my favorites rotation because I honestly didn’t have anything new or that I’d been using enough to count. I’m picky when it comes to favorites! This month I have some older favorites & quite a few new ones! I have all beauty favorites but I’ve been toying with the idea of doing lifestyle favorites on my other blog Home in High Heels…would you guys be interested in that? [Read more…]
Although I’m a total lip product lover…oranges can be tough. I recently got to snap up the Stila Stay All Day Vinyl Lip Gloss in Poppy Vinyl & definitely needed to share! Plus- today it is the ULTA beauty steal which means you can get it for 50% off! Pair that with a new-to-me site called Shop at Home which gives you rebate cash & it is a true beauty deal! Today I wanted to take a break from holiday posts just for a moment to bring in a post I’ve had waiting in the wings since before I even cut my hair. I took these photos when I realized I was using some of my favorite products in my collection & realized this would probably be helpful to share. My collection is pretty vast so the go-to items are really important to me. & some have been around for ages. I just love favorites don’t you?
Have you ever picked up a lipstick & thought “I could wear this with everything…”? It is rare for me. I really do switch out lip colors seasonally & quite often so it is a pretty big deal. If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile now then you likely know I grew up raiding my mother’s Lancome stash. It was a pretty big deal. Although I know for a fact I’ve been using this lipstick for 5 years at a minimum…it is likely more like 10. I think it was 3-5 years ago that my mom & I randomly started a conversation talking about our favorite purse lipstick…& it was the same one. The one I’m wearing above is Lancome Color Design Lipstick in Love It! which is probably the best thing ever. I mean- that name? Was it not meant to be a favorite? This is the perfect, creamy pink & you’ll find it in my purse at all times. [Read more…]
I normally try to do lots of Halloween tutorials…but this year it has been crazy busy. With the new site & lots of life stuff I haven’t gotten to share as much as I’d like. Today, however, I get to show you a tutorial I absolutely fell in love with! I used a variety of products (all broken down below) but it doesn’t have to just be Halloween either. The eyeshadows I used mainly are from the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette which I’ll be reviewing soon- & this look is just a favorite! Love my purples! Keep reading for the products & application tutorial! [Read more…]
Confession time… I bought the Stila Not So Nude Palette within a set called the Stila Natural Born Bombshell Set…which is unfortunately no longer available. I know I’m super late to this review & shame on me! BUT the excellent thing about this set is that everything inside is still available…so take that as you will! I love Stila products normally so when I found the photos I thought were lost on a missing card I knew I wanted to share ASAP! Although this is a neutral palette that is great for year round- this is definitely going to get use from me this fall! Keep reading to check it out! [Read more…]

Laura from My Newest Addiction have been blogging friends a really long time so it only makes sense we decided to do our first video collab together! We wanted to both use the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette because she is so stunning & versatile. When we came up with the Alter Ego Palette idea we thought it would make a great tag too!
