Pixi is one of those brands I recommend to everyone. You can pick it up at Target, it is affordable, & it tends to perform like something you’d buy at a high-end store. From the cute but functional packaging to innovative products most people can afford, Pixi tends to really impress me. Check out some new-to-me products from Pixi including the nail polish shade Gilded Garnet, Correction Concealer in Brightening Peach, & more! [Read more…]
It is that time of year again- time for lots of hearts & pink. Whether you’re single or not I think this holiday can be a lot of fun & I tend to get into the spirit with my nails first. My parents were actually married on Valentine’s Day so it has always been a real holiday in my house! Rock some hearts & love yourself. Today I have some really lovely shades from Sinful Colors to share…including some adorable heart glitters!
This post is somewhat embarrassing because it shows my complete lack of control when I really like something. Seriously I just buy almost an entire line…proof in this post as I currently own 8 out of 10. & it is killing me not to make it 10 out of 10. I have a problem.
The Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art Lid + Line + Lash Duos come in 10 shades like I said above & each product is double-ended. Each duo comes with a cream eyeshadow on one side & a glitter on the other. The two colors I don’t have are Fuchsia Flash which is a very pale pink & fuchsia glitter & the other shade is Burnished Bling which I fully intend to pick up when I finally find it in stock! I posted a sneak peak of these on my Instagram here which is a good place to follow me for sneak peeks & deals I find! [Read more…]
Drugstore crazes come in waves & often I am the first to run out & grab new items. Maybelline has released some of my favorites- I have pages & pages of reviews. Because I bought all of this line, I actually decided to take a long time to get my thoughts together. & I have lots of opinions!
The Maybelline Master Hi-Light Powdered products fall into either the blush or bronzer category. I believe there have been a few limited edition releases but there are 6 total in the permanent range. Two of these are bronzers while the other four are blushes. They are all housed in the same compacts & none are all that similar. [Read more…]
When Covergirl reached out to me about the #GirlsCan campaign I was amped. Empowerment? Breaking down barriers? Dress for Success donations? Check, check & CHECK! I am a huge fan of Dress for Success as I’ve had friends be able to be their best professional selves with their help. Covergirl will be donating $50,000 but if you want to win a $25 Walmart gift card from Covergirl keep reading & check out my eye look!
I’ve been using Covergirl products for…forever it seems like. Here I’m sharing some completely new ones to me to spice things up a bit. I also did an easy look that can translate into fall easily. & a lip color that is an instant new favorite.
The Covergirl Eye Enhancers Quad of eyeshadows in Sugar Coated is unlike any other shade selection I own from the drugstore- which is of course why it was the first one I grabbed. From left to right we have a warm honey neutral, softened sky blue with a touch of golden sheen, cool plum-toned brown, & a green-toned blackened teal. All of these shade contain shimmer but with a small array of neutral mattes it gives you some lovely options.
I haven’t tried a Covergirl blush in a long time so I opted for an old favorite- the Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Rock ‘n Rose. The pigmentation is soft & easy to blend so it works great on my fair skin. I actually don’t mine the touch of sheen other- I think it comes off as a healthy glow to further up the value of this rose shade.
I own quite a few Covergirl lipsticks but Euphoria has been on my list for some time! My local stores are always sold out but I snapped it up last time I was at Walmart! This is a pink-toned berry shade. It has an underlying brightness but is still so seasonally appropriate. Isn’t this color pretty?
Last up is the only Covergirl mascara i haven’t tried- Covergirl All-in-One Professional Mascara in Very Black. I’ll admit my love for Covergirl mascaras to random strangers but I love a more dramatic lash. If you like more natural looking lashes then this is quite nice & I think with some drying out it would layer up nicely. You can find the Covergirl #GirlsCan displays in the cosmetics section at Walmart for both the Profession & the Flamed Out Mascara.
Covergirl has graciously offered my readers a $25 Walmart Gift Card! Please enter using the rafflecopter widget below. This giveaway is open to US residents only. At the same time that I picked up this EOS A Ray of Sunshine Limited Edition Rachel Roy Trio Review which I already reviewed here I also picked up this single in Barbados Heat aka Wildberry! I’m personally not a huge berry fan but the husband is so I picked it up thinking it would end up with him eventually. Just not in public probably- it is quite fuchsia packaging after all. Keep reading to check out my thoughts, the packaging, & the ingredients list! [Read more…]
This little baby has been on my brows a lot lately- & with good reason. The NYX Eyebrow Gels are not only the first of their kind from the drugstore…but also a close dupe to the pricier Make Up For Ever options. I’ve actually had this shade for months & it was perfect in the humid months- they really last! I’ve found my favorite way to apply & lots of details which will be below! [Read more…]
Halloween is coming!!! I’m so excited. With the new blog I haven’t had much time to do many Halloween posts (which are some of my favorites so booo) but I did want to show you guys these new themed & limited edition balms I picked up! I reviewed the original balms that look like EOS eggs here from Walgreens. We still really enjoy them so when I saw new flavors/scents we jumped on them- & we have totally mixed thoughts! Keep reading to check them out! [Read more…]
I’ve been swimming through my polishes lately (how’s that visual for you?) & looking for new holiday-esque shades that have gone unloved or even untried. This is how I happened upon NYC Top of the Gold which is labeled as a Top Coat. Keep reading to see if you’ll fall in love! [Read more…]
As far of holiday releases go…this was definitely unexpected! EOS has come out with 3 new limited edition balms & none of them say fall or the holidays to me. At all. But that isn’t necessarily a bad thing because I am absolutely loving them- & their cute little wing design packaging! Keep reading to see the EOS A Ray of Sunshine Limited Edition Rachel Roy Trio in St. Barth’s Sunrise, Aloha Hawaii, & Indian Summer! [Read more…]
