With my lip/hand swatches of the new Maybelline Limited Edition Fall 2013 purple lip colors came a promise for comparisons! Today I’m showing you a few side by sides plus my quick purple ombre above.
When it comes to colors I really dig purple. I love greens as a very close second but purple is my jam. It is so exciting that drugstore brands like Maybelline are jumping on the vibrant & super bold purple lip trend & I was sucked into buying 3 products from their Fall 2013 display. When it comes to Spring, I like to rock me some bright lips. Neon lips, off color lips, ridiculously pigmented lips. In the past, I’ve only stumbled onto a handful of drugstore shades that fit into this category. Maybelline Vivids are something I’ve been obsessing over since I first read the press release & I’m so incredibly excited to show them to you today!
So right out of the gate let me tell you I adore these lipsticks. I really want to own them all, but my CVS basically refuses to restock the ones I don’t have. I want #12 like no one’s business but they have one damaged, mangled one left. BOO! But overall, this is definitely one of my favorite lines from the drugstore, especially for around $5. [Read more…]
