I’m extremely late posting this because I was extremely late finding these! I was practically obsessing & was so scared I’d never be able to find them! If you search back on my blog then you know how much I absolutely adore the Maybelline Color Tattoos so that would have been a tragedy. Luckily I did! Keep reading to see swatches & review of the Maybelline Limited Edition Color Tattoos in Nude Pink, Just Beige, & Matte Brown from the Gilded in Gold Collection which was released in 2013.

I absolutely love these! They’re matte, crazy versatile, & shades I actually reach for. I always rave about these- the formula on the Maybelline Color Tattoos has convinced me to pass on many higher end options. Although I do have a few (I’ll be reviewing some singles I’ve picked up here & there soon!) I love these & they’re my standby. Long wearing, crease free on me, can be used as my eye primer…I could go on & on! These shades in particular are impressive because although matte they’re super creamy & if you work fast-ish they are even easy to blend! Winning!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in250 Nude Pink- A pink-toned muted matte nude. Excellent as a base because it cancels out my veins & discoloration without washing me out too much!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in 255 Just Beige- A yellow-toned matte beige. Also a great base! Nudes out the eye & is naturally, again, an amazing base! If you blend it out you can actually wear this lashline to brow as a base without issue.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in 260 Matte Brown- Cool-toned matte deeper brown. Love this as both a base & eyeliner! If you like gel liners then you’ll find this multi-use product handy! I really dip the texture & it is actually nicely pigmented!

Swatches left to right Maybelline Color Tattoos in 250 Nude Pink, 255 Just Beige, & 260 Matte Brown. I know that the Matte Brown looks patchy but I promise it isn’t! This is one swipe of my finger without any primer…because I think these function quite well as a primer!

Although these shades may not look like the thrilling shades you often see me rave about, these are the workhorses of any eye look! I love them as bases, the dark brown as a liner, or even worn on their own. I love applying them on the lid then putting something with great contrast in my crease. Simple! I feel like makeup mavens & beauty beginners alike would appreciate these shades. So what’s the catch? They’re limited edition. & I got to them super late. So I’m not sure if you’ll even be able to find them 🙁 For shame Maybelline, don’t tease us! Hopefully with all of the raves they will add some more matte color tattoos to their range!
