Things have shifted in my makeup routine. If you’ve watched any of my instagram stories (follow me here!) then you know I now have a very precocious little girl named Eloise. While I still absolutely love makeup, hair, & beauty…I am very short on time, hands, & sleep these days. So easy products are wearing the crown. The Organic Skin Co. let me select some items & also sent a few themselves & I’m pretty excited to share!
Let’s look at everything sent first! The palettes are my absolute favorites from the line so far… More details about these below! I selected the shades inside as well! The brand actually selected a few items to send which is very nice of them. They sent along two lip products- the All About the Gloss Lipgloss in Starburst & the Lip Service Lipstick in Terra. Additionally they sent along their Draw the Line Eyeliner in Brown & the Black Lash Mascara.
Swatches left to right of The Organic Skin Co. products in Lip Service Lipstick in Terra, All About the Gloss Lipgloss in Starburst, & Draw the Line Eyeliner in Brown.
The Organic Skin Co. Lip Service Lipstick in Terra- this is a creamy, warm plum that applies more bitten-looking on the lips. Sheer but can be built up. It is a VERY comfortable formula likely because it contains carnauba wax, organic oils, & extracts. I would really love more shades of these to show you guys in a try-on, I have my eye on the shades Wisteria, Spice Bazaar, Blossom, & Flame!
The Organic Skin Co. All About the Gloss Lipgloss in Starburst- this is a very pale, pearl creamy nude gloss. Honestly- not the kind of shade I normally go for because I don’t love super light lips on myself personally. It is super pretty in the center of the lips though! They’re also super moisturizing without being oily. They have three other shades that I think are gorgeous online!
The Organic Skin Co. Draw the Line Eyeliner in Brown- a warm, medium brown liquid eyeliner with a matte finish. I so wish I’d known this one was coming because I pretty much only wear colorful or black eyeliners! I haven’t used this one as much because of that but the formula is really interesting. Once it dries, it really feels more like a set gel. & I love that it is safe for my sensitive eyes! I would love to try the black!
The Organic Skin Co. Black Lash Mascara(not swatched)- this black mascara is great at defining the lashes & separating. I used it on my low-key days, especially when I’m having eczema flare around my eye area, with no issues at all!
So I specifically wanted the two palettes. You guys know- I absolutely love palettes of any kind! Especially if you can customize them- which is the whole point of these! They also come in 3 shades, a blush, black, & white. I wanted two smaller 4-Pod Palettes but they also have an 8-Pod Palette available! I decided to divy my choices up into two- the powders & the creams.
Meet the Press Pressed Eyeshadows- 10 shades to choose from. Velvety-smooth, highly pigmented, artisan-pressed, vegan, and infused with replenishing supercritical extracts of calendula and pomegranate.
I tried to pick 4 shades I knew I’d use a lot but that I could use alone as well! The formula across the board is sheer, but buildable. I chose Snow as my highlight shade (matte white), Orchid is a pinky metallic, Burnish is an awesome golden bronze, & Topaz is a satin teal. I opted for all powders in this quad because I hate fallout in my creams!
The Eyes Have it Cream Eyeshadows from The Organic Skin Co- Highly pigmented, all natural, long lasting, they represent everything that’s good about natural beauty.
Left to right we have swatches of Luminizer Pod is in Lunar, Highlights Eyeshadow, Day Dreamer Eyeshadow, & Cheeky Lip in Velvet.
For my other palette- I mixed things up a bit! All 4 are creamy in texture but they are all a bit different! The Luminizer Pod is in Lunar, Highlights Eyeshadow, Day Dreamer Eyeshadow, & Cheeky Lip in Velvet. I really think these are a brilliant formula- especially the highlight & eyeshadows. I wanted the cheeky lip for options- I think a vampy or bright lip can really add a pop! But realistically I’ll use the other 3 products more! The cream eyeshadows have all the benefits of the brand & are somehow long-wearing. I’m VERY impressed! They have a green, purple, gold…I would love to get my hands on more of these! The highlighter in Luna is perfect for my hair skin- great on the cheekbones & in the inner corner!
Wearing all all of the cream products except on my cheeks here along with a tad of the Burnish powder eyeshadow on the lid & the Orchid pressed shade as blush! I’m actually wearing the lipstick as well with a touch of the gloss. My mom is wearing it without so you can see how light the gloss can make shades look!
I really love that they focus on recyclable packaging, being natural, & of course, cruelty free! For every product purchased, they also plant a try! Find out more about that here: One Product, One Tree
