One of my favorite ways to celebrate a new season is to switch out fragrances! You guys know I adore Demeter & their vast fragrance library. I chose three that I’m completely in love with & that tie in with the season. Scents are tied to memories- so I’ll be sharing a few of those below as well! Check out these unique scents!
Early in the fall, persimmon fruits really become abundant. They’re a really unique fruit & it still actually flies under most people’s radar. But the Demeter Persimmon scent brings it all back for me! The sweetness of a ripened persimmon is one of the only fruits you can both feel (it will be very soft) & smell when it is ready to eat. This is actually pretty dead-on but also with a little bit of sophistication underneath with a very faint cleanliness. This brings back lots of memories of goggling up persimmons in my grandma’s kitchen.
Ireland is part of the Demeter Destination Collection & it is easily one of my favorites. Demeter says “warm, soft and green and watery, clean and fresh. Think of an unspoiled meadow with a river running through it.” & they’re right! It leans a bit masculine for me which I like because that’s normally what I think about when I travel with my husband. For those that don’t know, he’s in the Air Force so sometimes having a few scents that remind me of him is a treat when he’s gone & I’m feeling nostalgic. I’m a whole lot of Irish as well so this was a welcomed addition!
One of my favorite memories from being stationed in Nebraska was apple picking. Golden Delicious really brings that back for me! I never got to pick apples living a mile from the beach in California my entire life…so it was something new & special we did as a couple. This scent really lingers as well with that super crisp, sweetened apple aroma.
