NEW L’Oreal Colour Riche Quad in So Over It! Swatches + Review!

November 28, 2012 By StephanieLouise 639Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fnew-loreal-colour-riche-quad-in-so-over.htmlNEW+L%27Oreal+Colour+Riche+Quad+in+So+Over+It%21+Swatches+%2B+Review%212012-11-28+14%3A03%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fnew-loreal-colour-riche-quad-in-so-over-it-swatches-review.html

So hopefully you got my review featuring the brighter quad Neon Skirt but if not, this is the other new L’Oreal Colour Riche Quad I’ve purchased & this one is called So Over it! This is definitely the more neutral & wearable of the two I picked & I had high hopes. Sometimes brands have issues getting more vibrant shades right but I tend to love drugstore neutrals!

If you read my prior post then you know I don’t care much for the packaging of these quads so I won’t delve into that again. Basically…I’m not a fan of the packaging or the palette layout itself.

The  L’Oreal Colour Riche Quad in So Over It! is swatched below without primer & I used one medium pressured swipe each.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Top Shade: This is a bronzy copper with the same texture & great pigmentation as the gold in the Neon Skirt palette. Love this shade & it applies like butter with nice density.

Shade #2: Again, a shade similar to the Neon Skirt palette & this appears to be an identical somewhat frosty white. Upon application, however, this is a bit warmer & a bit less sheer.

Shade #3: Super dark plum with fine purple shimmer. Not much shimmer, but definitely visible. I like this shade but I wish it was brighter or warmer to give the palette some variation. This applies with almost some chocolate-y base tones.

Bottom Shade: Black with antique gold shimmers. The shimmer is kind of in the middle & this shade applies a bit more sheer than I personally prefer.

This palette is just alright. Again, I love the top shade. Super pretty & pigments. A great neutral. The white is better than in the other palette & looks much less harsh. The plum, in my opinion, is just alright. It doesn’t blow my mind. Same with the sparkly black. Swatched…the top shade really doesn’t seem to paid with the others or is that just me? Again, I picked up So Over It! & Neon Skirt at my local Walgreens!

What do you think? Did you like Neon Skirt? Do you prefer So Over It! or neither at all? Have you picked up any of these quads? Intend to?

NEW L’Oreal Colour Riche Quad in Neon Skirt Swatches + Review!

November 27, 2012 By StephanieLouise 640Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fnew-loreal-colour-riche-quad-in-neon.htmlNEW+L%27Oreal+Colour+Riche+Quad+in+Neon+Skirt+Swatches+%2B+Review%212012-11-27+23%3A34%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fnew-loreal-colour-riche-quad-in-neon-skirt-swatches-review.html

I’ve been anticipating these eyeshadows for quite some time. I also picked up some of the new L’Oreal lippies which will be coming in a later post. I picked up this quad as well as So Over It! which I will be reviewing next. Let’s dive into our first quad!

Neon Skirt definitely pops against the other shades available because it is so vibrant! You get a gold, white, teal, & purple. Not shy shades!

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
I find the packaging to be a bit disappointing. I love the new lippies packaging which feels a bit more new while these feel like they are a cheap vintage. I wish I liked it better but the metallic gold outter packaging isn’t very thick & doesn’t feel all that sturdy. I am also not a fan of the way the shades are laid into the palette. Sure, it LOOKS cool…but it isn’t all that easy to use day to day. The wave like shape made it hard to swatch & harder to get a fluffy brush into the middle shades.

Let’s look at the shades from top to bottom! All of these shades are one medium pressured swipe without any primer:

Photobucket
Photobucket

Top Shade: My favorite (by far) is the gold shade. So metallic & shimmery! This one applies like butter & is soft but blendable.

Shade #2: The white is also very shimmery & comes off frosted. Not as dense as the gold.

Shade #3: The teal shade actually has white micro shimmer in it but it isn’t very dense. This color can be packed on & I don’t think it would look very good sheer.

Bottom Shade: This is a red leaning bright purple/pink with a blue flash. This applies a bit grainy but it can be smoothed out. Super sheer application as well. When you blend it in, you can wipe away pretty much the entire shade except the shimmer.

There you have it! I’m not impressed. I LOVE this gold & find it to be very comparable to my Too Faced Return of Sexy shadows. The rest of the shades? Eh. Maybe I had too high of hopes that these bright shades would be great because you don’t see many from L’Oreal. My other palette is much more neutral so we’ll see if they got that one right!

These should be available at your local drugstore soon if not already. I found mine on a top display at my Walgreens. I’ll have the next quad up soon! What do you think? Was this worth the money or will you be passing?

Sephora Favorites In The Glow Set
Why You’ll Love it: If you love blush/bronzers & are looking to try more then this set is definitely for you. I so rarely hit pan due to my vast hoarding abilities so having minis of some I’d love to own is awesome. I’m fair so I didn’t know how much I would use Laguna Beach from NARS so this mini will let me know! I also haven’t been able to pull the trigger on the TARTE Stain so this is perfect. For the items I DO have in a full size, these are the PERFECT size to travel with!
This set contains:

– 0.08 oz Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder

Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip
Why You’ll Love it: If you love lip products, this is a great little set. I personally wanted the TARTE lip tint in Hope anyway so this was a steal for me! The only issue I have with this set? It is definitely geared to lighter skin tones. I made sure & checked the comments on Sephora & they agreed! These are perfect shades for me although they are all kind of in the same color family or somewhat sheer.
This set contains:
– 0.08 oz Fresh Sugar Rosé’ Tinted Lip Treatment (sheer berry rose)
– 0.12 oz Hourglass Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss in Child (sheer nude)
– 0.1 oz Bite Beauty Lip Shine in Vintage (sheer mauve)
– 0.1 oz Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Baby Doll (soft pink shimmer)

Sephora Favorites Glitz And Glam Party Sampler
Why You’ll Love it: Besides the NARS Body Glow being super weird (& Sephora wouldn’t replace it unless I sent everything back….) this set is fantastic. I love the Stila eyeliners & Starfish is great. The bag is a nice side & not glittery so it won’t shed everywhere. I love the Laura Mercier Baked Eyeshadow…it is tiny but beautiful foiled especially. The only I haven’t tried is the mascara yet but everything else is fab!

This set contains:
– 0.09 oz Stila Duo Shimmer Powder in Kitten
– 0.018 oz Laura Mercier Baked Eye Color – Wet/Dry in Black Karat
– 0.02 oz bareMinerals Eyecolor in Good Fortune
– 0.125 oz SEPHORA by OPI Nail Colour in Looks Like Rain Dear
– 0.11 oz Josie Maran GOGO Instant Natural Volume Argan Mascara in Black

For $75 you get all of these super deluxe samples & onf of the fragrances in a full size! FOR FREE! You get a little pamphlet that takes about each fragrance & a card where you check off which one you want. The variety is awesome & perfect for someone who likes to hoard fragrances….like me.
This set contains:

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Pro’s Picks Lip Tar Set
Why You’ll Love it: This was an AMAZING deal. Even without the 20% off, you pay only $49 for 5 lip tars plus a lip brush, normally a $98 value. You get a decent variety while still getting some fun shades. Believe it or not…these are my FIRST lip tars….right? How crazy am I? I am super impressed & plan to review each shade for you guys.
This set contains:
– 5 x 0.33 oz Lip Tar in Pretty Boy (super-rich fuchsia), Melange (terracotta neutral), Vintage (deep burgundy), Stalker (true blue based red), Grandma (classic coral) + a Lip brush

Photobucket

I picked 3 fragrance samples I had actually smelled before. The only one I’m not lusting after is the Justin Bieber but it honestly isn’t bad. If you have seen the packaging on the bottle though…it is ridiculous. Zero interest in that. I LOVE the DKNY Be Delicious fragrance & already own it. Perfect for my purse. I actually prefer the new, red bottle fragrance from Taylor Swift but this one is nice as well. I’m still contemplating pulling the trigger on the red bottle though.

There we go! I love everything I got & am picking up my full size fragrance tomorrow. I am totally in love with the lip tars now. I’m prepared to be broke. Did you get anything at the Sephora Friends & Family Sale? Anything you’ve been checking into for the holidays?

TARTE The Big Thrill Limited-Edition Color Collection 2012 Review, Swatches, + Video

November 19, 2012 By StephanieLouise 650Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Ftarte-big-thrill-limited-edition-color.htmlTARTE+The+Big+Thrill+Limited-Edition+Color+Collection+2012+Review%2C+Swatches%2C+%2B+Video2012-11-19+23%3A55%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Ftarte-the-big-thrill-limited-edition-color-collection-2012-review-swatches-video.html

PhotobucketPhotobucket

When I was waltzing through ULTA I settled upon the The Big Thrill Limited-Edition Color Collection…Palette…Box…Set? Whatever it is, it had both glosses & blushes…the  things I was looking to buy. There were tons of sets to choose from but for $48 I figured this one was the best value for me. That is less than 2 of the blushes on their own! Considering I can’t even get close to hitting pan on the mini TARTE Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollhouse…I figured this was a better deal.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Photobucket

I think you can see from the review my overall opinions so I won’t go on & on much. I’m still experimenting with these wet but so far, the dud shades are still duds. Bummer man. The blushes & glosses though? Superb! Really impressive! I love a few of the shades which I’ll note after the swatches.

Let’s start at layer #1 which is the 16 of Tarte’s signature square eye shadows infused with Amazonian clay. In the package, we’ll go left to right from top to bottom.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Row #1: Shooting Star, Giant Peach, Totally Taupe, & Brilliant Bronze.
Photobucket
Row #2: Cloud 9, Pop of Pink, Amazed by Amethyst, & Pumped About Purple.
Photobucket
Row #3: Silver Burst, Next Level lilac, Intergalactic Metallic, & Jump For Juniper.
Photobucket
Row #4: Clay Crush, Rush of Gold, Go for Green, & Exquisite Emerald.

The shades I still need to work with are definitely Cloud 9, Next Level Lilac, & Clay Crush.
Favorites for both pigmentation & shade in general are Exquisite Emerald, Brilliant Bronze, Go For Green, & Jump For Juniper.

Layer #2 is the cheek products also left to right.

PhotobucketPhotobucket
Photobucket

Left to right: TARTE Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Ave Princess, TARTE Amazonian Clay Blushes in Angelic, Curious, & Thrilled.

I adore each one of these, absolutely no cons here. I only wish I owned more!

& the last layer is a drawer with 3 glosses tucked inside.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Left to right: TARTE Vitamin Infused Lipgloss in Strawberry Sensation, Apple-A-Day, & Abra-Cad-Apricot.

Great shade variety while still being super wearable shades. Each one smells like their name as well, a bit plus for me! Great feeling on the lips & decent lasting power as well.

I stick by the pros. This is a great value with amazing products. I will find a way to use every single one. However, the cons are relevant. This is a bulky package & besides the glosses nothing is detachable. I think it is safe to say I won’t be traveling with these shadows or blushes which is a real shame. It is also not the easiest to store. Even with those issues, I don’t regret buying it at all & am happy to make room in my stash. For only $48, you get a set worth $435…so my complaints  are pretty much nil in that shadow.

The Big Thrill Limited-Edition Color Collection

What do you guys think of this set? If you want to pick it up, I urge you to do it quickly, I don’t know when they will sell out & it is ULTA exclusive. Out of all the sets I have seen at Sephora & ULTA, this is still my favorite. I would have loved to have grabbed the For The Love Of Lipgloss 15-Piece Maracuja Lipgloss Collector’s Set & a few more things. If only I were able to afford to swatch it all right? Let me know if you want to see eye looks with this set or anything else, I did these swatches fast so you could get a peek!

If you caught my review of the Christina Choi Cosmetics sent to me yesterday, then you know I hinted at a tutorial! I’m still working with some lighting so be kind! I hope you guys like this, my husband really did!

I think I did a pretty good job explaining how to get this look in the video but just in case you need a refresher: Martini Olive on the lid &  Black Forrest into the crease. I also used a bit of Wet n Wild Creme Brule under the browbone.

Hubby rarely comments about my makeup unless it is bright colors…honestly he’d be cool if I was Rainbow Brite. But he DID say how much he liked this! It really caught the light & when we shopped at the BX to do a little shopping before going out I got compliments from the sales girls. Always nice! These are genuinely unique shades, I tried to compare them but I don’t have anything that comes close enough!

What do you guys think? Are you digging this look as a going out/date night dramatic eye? You can pick up these products at http://www.christinachoicosmetics.com/

Some products used in this tutorial were sent to me. This post was not asked of me, I just enjoyed them this much! All opinions are 100% honest & my own!

Christina Choi Cosmetics Review: Martini Olive + Black Forrest Eyeshadow, Jetsetter Luxury Gloss, & Contour Crease Brush

November 12, 2012 By StephanieLouise 658Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fchristina-choi-cosmetics-review-martini.htmlChristina+Choi+Cosmetics+Review%3A+Martini+Olive+%2B+Black+Forrest+Eyeshadow%2C+Jetsetter+Luxury+Gloss%2C+%26+Contour+Crease+Brush2012-11-12+20%3A33%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fchristina-choi-cosmetics-review-martini-olive-black-forrest-eyeshadow-jetsetter-luxury-gloss-contour-crease-brush.html

Whenever I check out a new brand, I try to get my hands on some original shades. Do I love nude gloss? Yes, but I also have quite a few! I like checking out colors unique to my collection & all 3 of the Christina Choi Cosmetics products I’m going to be showing you definitely are! Along with the Contour Crease Brush, I have 4 products to share with you & soon a tutorial perfect for a dramatic fall look! Swatches at the bottom of the post!

Photobucket
I really like the packaging on these, super sleek while not being your standard black. The packaging is also really smart, I don’t have to dig them out. Just take the cut out on each side & remove it! The compacts themselves are also really sleek & flatter than a lot of other eyeshadows.Think more the Sephora brand shadows & less the MAC shadows.

Photobucket

Christina Choi Cosmetics Eyeshadow: Our silky smooth pressed eyeshadows will be your new best-friend. The collection comes in a wide range of pigments. You can customize the intensity you desire by using the products wet or dry. They contain vitamins C and E that hydrate and protect the eyelids. It is a non-drying formula that conditions during wear and provides amazing rich color payoff.

– Hypoallergenic
– Cruelty Free
– 100% Fragrance Free
– Not Tested on Animals

Photobucket

Martini Olive Eyeshadow LIMITED Shade $17.00

Khaki mossy green with a golden luster. Soft shimmer pearl finish offers an ultra-reflective finish.
Christina’s Pro Tips:
– Use wet for intense and luminous finish.
– Great color to frame around the eyes as an eyeliner.
My Take: I love this luster shade, especially paired with a dark green or plum for fall. I love this as a base shade & it could easily be used alone because it catches the light so beautifully.

Photobucket

Black Forest Eyeshadow LIMITED shadow $17.00

A rich black smoky-green with golden shimmer flecks. A dual finish has both a soft matte base and a sparkling surface for an exciting, multi-dimensional effect.
Christina’s Pro Tips:
– Apply wet for intense high shine payoff.
– Great color for a smoky eye or eye lining.
– For a liquid liner effect, apply wet.
My Take: This is definitely one of the most beautiful dark green eyeshadows I’ve ever tried. I love this as a dark crease shade & as a dark eyeliner in the outter corner. Seriously pigmented, just touch your brush to it & tap lightly. If you don’t want to use it wet as a liner, use it to set black liner for a great effect.

Photobucket

Jetsetter Luxury Gloss $18.50

A vivid orange coral gloss with an opaque finish. This feather-light formula imparts superior shine and provides long lasting hydration in a single sweep.
Christina’s Pro Tip:
– Dot the gloss on lips for a “stained” sheer appearance, then blend with finger tip.

My Take:  I am in LOVE with this gloss. You can see my camera rejected it a bit int he tube as it often does with bright colors. This is shiny, opaque, & the perfect color. I like it worn sheer or opque but obviously sheer it quite a bit easier. This is an awesome bright orange leaning coral…which has me yearning for spring again!

Photobucket

Contour Crease Brush $23.00

The tall tapered bristles are perfect for creating an airbrushed appearance to the eyeshadows. This long-handled brush diffuses color and buffs out harsh edges.
Christina’s Pro Tips:
– This brush is great for contouring a larger crease line.
– If you have a small crease or creaseless eyes, this brush is great to smooth out color at the lash base or middle eye area.

My Take: I LOVE this brush!  This applies product perfectly to my crease area, not too much or too little. This really buffs the color in but also places it perfectly for a dramatic look.

You can pick up these products at http://www.christinachoicosmetics.com/ & check out their other shades. Some of them are limited edition so that is also something to keep in mind! I really love these shades & I honestly can’t imagine running out of either eyeshadows, you just dot your brush in & you have amazing pigmentation. If you’re looking for a nicely pigmented gloss or eyeshadow, I highly recommend checking these out!

New L’Oreal Infallible Shade in Blinged & Brilliant Dupe Alert & Comparisons!

November 9, 2012 By StephanieLouise 659Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fnew-loreal-infallible-shade-in-blinged.htmlNew+L%27Oreal+Infallible+Shade+in+Blinged+%26+Brilliant+Dupe+Alert+%26+Comparisons%212012-11-09+14%3A09%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fnew-loreal-infallible-shade-in-blinged-brilliant-dupe-alert-comparisons.html

Photobucket

Okay, I know you guys have think I lost it. “Omigosh she finally let the eyeshadow get to her head, she’s telling us NOT to buy a L’Oreal Infallible shade?” I know right! But seriously, there’s a VERY good reason. Of course I still love these shades…in fact I love them so much that I own the key to your salvation if you are still unable to find the holiday L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow shade in Blinged & Brilliant.

Photobucket

First let us compare Blinged & Brilliant with the 2 closest shades in the L’Oreal Infallible eyeshadow family, Iced Latte & Amber Rush.

Photobucket

Left is Iced Latte & right is Blinged & Brilliant: Iced Latte is definitely lighter, whiter, & doesn’t lean copper/brown.

Photobucket

Left is Blinged & Brilliant & right is Amber Rush: Amber Rush is definitely darker & leans more copper.

Photobucket
Left to right is Iced Latte, Blinged & Brilliant, & Amber Rush.

Dupe Time!

Iced Latte + Amber Rush= Blinged & Brilliant!
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
On the bottom: left is Amber Rush & Iced Latte mixed & right is Blinged & Brilliant.

I’m pretty much positive of this guys. I mixed just a smidge & although if you continuously mix it you’ll get a bit different results, it is most definitely identical. & you know how picky I am about dupes. Like…really picky. Am I mad I bought it? Not at all. I love both Iced Latte & Amber Rush so naturally I love Blinged & Brilliant. BUT if I didn’t collect eyeshadows like a hoarder (I really do guys) or I couldn’t find the new shade, I think this tidbit would be super helpful!

What do you think? Do you use your L’Oreal Infallible shades to warrant purchasing Blinged & Brilliant or will mixing them a bit do the trick?

If you dug this, I highly suggest you check out my comparison of the shades Primped & Precious & Liquid Diamond! Also check out all 3 of the new shades for the holidays (Blinged & Brilliant, Primped & Precious, & Gold Imperial) swatched side by side!

L’Oreal Primped & Precious VS Liquid Diamond: Do You Need Both?

October 20, 2012 By StephanieLouise 674Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F10%2Floreal-primped-precious-vs-liquid.htmlL%27Oreal+Primped+%26+Precious+VS+Liquid+Diamond%3A+Do+You+Need+Both%3F2012-10-20+15%3A40%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F10%2Floreal-primped-precious-vs-liquid-diamond-do-you-need-both.html

Photobucket

So when I swatched the 3 L’Oreal Infallible shades yesterday, a lovely reader had a request. Seeing Primped & Precious, they asked if I had Liquid Diamond to compare. I do! Let’s break them down & see if you need both shall we?

Photobucket

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

Photobucket

Top is one swipe of Primped & Precious & bottom is one swipe of Liquid Diamond.

Photobucket

So Liquid Diamond is a really unique shade, something that I don’t think I have a color dupe of anywhere & none come to mind. Liquid Diamond has a a silvery-grey base but it is absolutely packed lavender/purple shimmer. I honestly didn’t think to buy this until last month & then was totally kicking myself. I love purples & this shade is impressive.

Photobucket

Primped & Precious is kind of a smoky charcoal base packed with silver shimmers resulting in a gorgeous gun metal. You can see from swatches it hits the light like it wants to be silver, but I find the gunmetal shade much more wearable for year round. Perfect for a smoky eye! It also clearly leans more blue/green than Liquid Diamond which is very much so a purple leaner.

So do you need both? If you’re me…yes. I love gunmetal on my blue eyes & purple is where my heart is. Do you? Maybe! It honestly depends. If you had bought Liquid Diamond thinking it was a silver (like I did, stupid store lighting!) & it wasn’t what you were looking for then Primped & Precious might be just the shade you were looking for!

Is there anything else you guys want to see compared? Maybe Gold Imperial & Eternal Sunshine? Blinged & Briliant with Amber Rush & Iced Latte? Just let me know! Thanks for the request Fay!

NEW: L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows in Primped & Precious, Blinged & Brilliant, & Gold Imperial Swatches + Review

October 19, 2012 By StephanieLouise 676Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F10%2Fnew-loreal-infallible-eyeshadows-in.htmlNEW%3A+L%27Oreal+Infallible+Eyeshadows+in+Primped+%26+Precious%2C+Blinged+%26+Brilliant%2C+%26+Gold+Imperial+Swatches+%2B+Review2012-10-19+11%3A27%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F10%2Fnew-loreal-infallible-eyeshadows-in-primped-precious-blinged-brilliant-gold-imperial-swatches-review.html

Photobucket

So I happened upon a new display & at the front were 3 L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows in Primped & Precious, Blinged & Brilliant, & Gold Imperial. I wasn’t able to snag Gold Imperial when it first came out but you better believe I snapped it up this time! These 3 shades aren’t necessarily ‘holiday” shades (they were on a holiday looking display in CVS) but the gold/silver shades definitely are.

Primped & Precious: A gunmetal silver with silver shimmers. This isn’t a TRUE silver, but it is lovely & unlike any of my other shades.

Photobucket

Gold Imperial: A true gold with gold shimmer. I don’t have many true golds, most lean yellow or grungy or pale. This is a welcomed edition, especially for the holidays!

Blinged & Brilliant: A peach toned rose gold. If you use just a little bit, this makes a really pretty highlight.

So you can definitely see how shimmery/metallic these are right? The first photo is the most color accurate, 2nd is catching the light, & 3rd is a bit blurred to show you the dimensions of the shades. Pretty right? Each swipe is just a touch into the shadow, no primer.

If you have missed my other L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow reviews, I tend to prefer the shimmery versions. They are vibrant, ultra-pigmented, & they can also be foiled. I have some of the matte shades & although I don’t dislike them I also don’t find them as easy for me to work with. These 3 shades are clearly NOT for the matte at heart! They are pretty much all 3 metallic wonders. If you don’t usually do shimmery, consider them as a holiday touch, use the gold as a liner or the silver as an inner corner highlight for a smoky eye.

Check out my last review of the some of my favorite limited edition shades which shows you the packaging (it is different right?) & how lovely those shades are. Also, jump into some of the eye looks I’ve created using them, like this purple smoky eye I created for my husband’s graduation ceremony!

Boooo-ty Blog Coalition Link Up: Fall Festival Coastal Scents Palette Pumpkin Spiced Eyeshadow Tutorial

Normally I do a review before I do an eyeshadow look, but I couldn’t help it! I might still be testing these shades, but I adore this look! Ready to jump into the Halloween/Fall season? This is an easy look to achieve & definitely a bit fun while still being wearable. I’ll have some costume type tutorials coming up…less wearable!

Just a note, I actually ended up going with something more berry-toned on my lips after wearing this for a bit. I thought it was TOO pink (ha!) but I liked it a lot. It was orange without being too orange & had a nice shimmer to it. With the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden under it, it lasted perfectly as well. I’ve never had issues with the Coastal Scents Hot Pots.

So here are all the products I used, from face to eyes to lips. I explain all the eye type stuff in the video, but if you don’t recognize any of the products here I’ll list them!

I think this look is pretty easy, it didn’t take long. I love this orange, it is not a bronze or pale or neon orange, just a shimmery orange! This palette has hot pots which basically means you can pop them out. It is cheaper to buy the palette as a whole from Coastal Scents but if you don’t see yourself using these shades, just create your own with shades you will use. I find this system to be a lot safer on my wallet than the Urban Decay version! Ouch!

In the end, I think this look is fun, definitely made for Fall, & perfect for someone who isn’t looking to go too wild. I’ll be using this palette for some more upcoming looks. If you own it, what are some of your favorite color combinations? From photos, are there any you want to see?
