When it comes to Limited Edition eyeshadow shades from the drugstore, the L’Oreal Infallible line exceeds expectations. I am always very impressed & haven’t missed a shade yet. Spring 2013 is no exception! This spring L’Oreal graced us with some real stunners! These 4 shades are located on the L’Oreal Miss Candy display…I also picked up some of the gellies/jellies which I’m excited to share soon!
Swatches & review of these gorgeous eyeshadows first though!

Photos below are first in natural light & the 2nd with flash since that brings out different tones in some of these.

Strawberry Blonde- This is a gorgeous pink duochrome! I can’t wait to put this over black & other shades. It swatches a bit sheer but that is exactly what you want for layering!

 photo DSCN7456_zpsd822a97d.jpg

 photo DSCN7457_zps65a52f5f.jpg

Cherie Merie- This came off more orange in the pot than in real life, sorry! This is quite orange though & has warm tones too it with a hit of coral. I don’t have anything like it! in my stash which is exciting.

 photo DSCN7448_zps431d86cf.jpg

With A Twist- A medium purple with light blue shimmer. I love this shade & it has an icy hue. Love it!

 photo DSCN7459_zps78f58660.jpg
 photo DSCN7458_zps0b3829f2.jpg

Dive Right In- Beautiful turquoise blue with more turquoise shimmer packed in. This has wonderful pigmentation & I thought it might be similar to another Infallible shade but it is much cooler & lighter.

Left to right: Strawberry Blonde, Cherie Merie, With A Twist, & Dive Right In. No primer, one swipe each. All 4 are Limited Edition for Spring/Summer 2013.

Are you loving these shades? Which is your favorite L’Oreal Infallible shadow? Would you like to see any tutorials using them?

NYX Love in Florence Eat, Love, Be Fab Swatches & Review

April 23, 2013 By StephanieLouise 468Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F04%2Fnyx-love-in-florence-eat-love-be-fab.htmlNYX+Love+in+Florence+Eat%2C+Love%2C+Be+Fab+Swatches+%26+Review2013-04-23+15%3A20%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F04%2Fnyx-love-in-florence-eat-love-be-fab-swatches-review.html

 photo DSCN6316_zps1ba198f6.jpg

I feel like NYX has a huge cult following but I’m still a bit new to the brand. I have multiple products but I’m still dipping my toe into trying more. I have so much makeup already that something has to be pretty special to catch my eye & a lot of the NYX items aren’t available locally. I have quite a few things on my list (including blushes which I don’t own any of yet!) but when I saw the NYX Eat, Love, Be Fab palette last month I grabbed it up. The colors really appeal to me & I knew it needed to be mine!

 photo DSCN6320_zps5a5be2e6.jpg

This palette comes with black plastic packaging, a sneak peek window on the top so you can see the shades. My favorite touch is a cute little bow on the side where you open up the palette.

 photo DSCN6324_zps64f05d9d.jpg
 photo DSCN6325_zps1f65fc4b.jpg

Swatches are over a primer. In this palette you get a nice variety of wearable, on-trend shades including an emerald green with a bit of gold to it, a shimmery cool brown, a matte medium brown, a prachy pink with gold shimmer, & a shimmery brown/beige that is actually pretty unique to my stash.

The shades in this palette scream summer to me personally but I’ve been wearing them now in springtime as well. They aren’t mindblowing in the pigmentation department & you need to work with them (compared to Urban Decay or my Wet n Wild) but they do look much better on the eye over primer. If you guys want to see a tutorial just let me know!

I hear lots of raves for NYX but maybe I’m picking up some of the wrong items or palettes because I’m not finding it worth the hype. Do you guys recommend any shades or products specifically? Any single eyeshadows I need in my life?

Requested: LORAC GloGetter Minted Waves Eyeshadow Look & Tutorial

April 19, 2013 By StephanieLouise 470Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F04%2Frequested-lorac-glogetter-minted-waves.htmlRequested%3A+LORAC+GloGetter+Minted+Waves+Eyeshadow+Look+%26+Tutorial2013-04-19+17%3A56%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F04%2Frequested-lorac-glogetter-minted-waves-eyeshadow-look-tutorial.html

 photo glogettereyeshadow_zps0f1eb24d.jpg

If you saw my review & swatches yesterday of the LORAC GloGetter Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette then you know it is some sweet sweet love. I think this palette has an awesome array of shades & they all have a nice consistancy. I got a request to do an eyeshadow look using the right side of the palette so that’s what I will be showing you today! I love this side of the palette because it has that amazing mint which is why it is my main shade!

 photo DSCN7346_zps75fa039a.jpg photo DSCN7351_zps6b0911a5.jpg

Note- Please forgive the fact that my skin is looking a hot mess. I’m trying out a new BB Cream & my skin does NOT like it. The color is just sticking to any dryness on my face & if I was going out today I’d take it off & reapply. Blush is Revlon Cream Blush in Coral Cove which I’m totally loving though. On my lips is a touch of Christina Choi lipgloss in Jetsetter which I reviewed here. Love coral with the cooler shades on my eyes.

 photo DSCN7218_zps346f9f13.jpg
 photo DSCN7323_zpscc6fc77d.jpg
 photo DSCN7329_zpsba09360c.jpg

I used LORAC Eyeshadow Primer (from my LORAC Pro Palette, this doesn’t come with one) as a base. I then topped it with the mint shade & worked it up into my crease. I used the blue/perwinkle shade up into my crease & blended it out. I used the brown/rosy shade in just my outer corner. Under my eye I lined with Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner Pencil in Purple for a base then topped it with the rich purple shade. I used the highlight that is a satin on the other side of the palette instead of the more shimmery one. I used a liquid eyeliner for some drama & then layered on the mascara.

 photo DSCN7292_zpsfa67d36f.jpg

Here’s a look before mascara. I got some comments on a past look asking me to show without mascara sometimes because they had a hard time seeing what it looked like with all my lashes in the way. #1 I will take that as a compliment that I have nice lashes & #2 no problem here you go! This photo was pre-lippie obviously.

I hope you guys like this eyeshadow look! Hubby loved it of course because it involves purple & blue. If he chose my eyeshadow colors I’d pretty much wear them all the time! I love this combo!

Don’t forget that the LORAC GloGetter Palette (affiliate link) is Limited Edition, ULTA Exclusive, & only $20 so they are seriously flying off the shelves here. Order it online while you can or head over to your store asap!

Teal & Brown Smoky Eye – Urban Decay Vice Palette

April 15, 2013 By StephanieLouise 476Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F04%2Fteal-brown-smoky-eye-urban-decay-vice.htmlTeal+%26+Brown+Smoky+Eye+-+Urban+Decay+Vice+Palette2013-04-15+15%3A09%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F04%2Fteal-brown-smoky-eye-urban-decay-vice-palette.html

 photo udvicepalettetealampbrown_zpsc4a0297f.jpg

I purchased this palette. Affiliate links.

When it comes to makeup palettes, I definitely go through phases. Right now my favorite is the Urban Decay Vice Palette which was limited edition & worth every penny. Each shadow is unique, pigmented, & just overall beautiful. I have been reaching for this palette so much…a lot more than I had actually thought I would. I don’t buy all of the Urban Decay LE palettes but this one really appeals to me because there are bright shades, neutrals, smoky shades, & awesome base colors. Today I’m showing you one of my favorite combos ever, teal & brown!

 photo DSCN6845_zps16dd64ae.jpg
 photo DSCN6847_zps2bc4c1f3.jpg

For this look I used the shade Junkie (the teal shade which actually looks way more green in the pan) & the brown smoky outer corner shade is Muse. I used anonymous as my subtle brown highlight. I just love this combo & I got lots of compliments the combination is really striking & looks even better in person.

 photo DSCN6873_zps188b5f25.jpg

I’m wearing Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy (sorry I don’t have a hand swatch of this but maybe I need to do a swatch spam of the Revlon Lip butters I own?) on my lips & Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed on my cheeks. On my face I believe I was wearing L’Oreal True Match Foundation. As an eyeshadow primer I stuck with my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer in Eden.

Do you love teal & brown together? What are some of your favorite smoky color combos? Do you love the Urban Decay Vice Palette?

Stila In the Moment Eye Shadow Palette Review & Swatches

April 4, 2013 By StephanieLouise 485Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F04%2Fstila-in-moment-eye-shadow-palette.htmlStila+In+the+Moment+Eye+Shadow+Palette+Review+%26+Swatches2013-04-04+14%3A14%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F04%2Fstila-in-the-moment-eye-shadow-palette-review-swatches.html

 photo DSCN5889_zps97799814.jpg

I picked this palette up awhile back at ULTA while perusing the many palettes on my wishlist. Purple is totally my think so the fact that this came with gorgeous day or smoky purples & neutrals made it an easy lust. Along with the 10 shades you also get a full sized Stila Smudge Stick Eye Liner in Tetra.

 photo DSCN5891_zpseba20579.jpg
I didn’t swatch the eyeliner but I plan to swatch it in the future along with some other Stila eyeliners I have. I love this shade though! Perfect for this palette.

 photo DSCN5875_zpsd133c4f3.jpg
 photo DSCN5879_zps9c06ece0.jpg

This is a light purple palette made of cardboard but it feel sturdy. It is simple but cute. I really like that each of the shades in this palette have names. I always appreciate that.

Swatches over primer. All swatches are dry.

 photo DSCN5902_zps8c6c3497.jpg

Left to right: Instinct, Impulse, Glance, Improvise, & Catalyst.

 photo DSCN5909_zps4d6eb085.jpg

Left to right: Desire, Wonder, Spontaneous, Whim, & Captivate.

There aren’t any matte shades in this palette (which is fine with me honestly) & they are all absolutely lovely. With the exception of Desire, these are very pigmented with nice blendability & color payoff. Desire isn’t a bad shade it is just soft & a tad chalky. I like it as a base shade or as a highlight to offset all the shimmer if you are using this palette alone.

I normally pick out favorites from palettes but I honestly just love all of these. As a whole this palette is a big hit. Fall, Spring, Summer, Winter…it is perfection. Their are both cool & warm shades which I also love. I do want to point out how absolutely superb Catalyst is. A super smoky shade with awesome purple shimmer! Oh behave!

I’m loving it & although it was a bit pricey I think it was worth it. (affiliate link) This palette retails for $39 from the ULTA website & when you take into consideration what you get it is a good deal. The eyeliner alone retails around $20 alone! I didn’t swatch these wet but they can also be used that way which is another bonus.

Have you tried this palette out? What are your favorite neutral or purple based palettes?

Throwback Thursday: My Two Favorite Lancome Quads Including What Might Have Been My First Taupe!

March 28, 2013 By StephanieLouise 489Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fthrowback-thursday-my-two-favorite.htmlThrowback+Thursday%3A+My+Two+Favorite+Lancome+Quads+Including+What+Might+Have+Been+My+First+Taupe%212013-03-28+21%3A50%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fthrowback-thursday-my-two-favorite-lancome-quads-including-what-might-have-been-my-first-taupe.html

So when I asked you guys on twitter/facebook if you’d be interested in seeing some old school posts about makeup I used back in the day, you seemed genuinely interested. Good thing, because I’m a hoarder. You know on tv when they tell people “You need to get rid of this. I know it is a good memory but you have to let it go” or something like that? Well I held onto quite a few makeup products from back in the day & I’m excited to show you how I used them, what they looked like, & all that jazz. If you’re not interested in see my old makeup (as hip, & cool, & with it as I was back then) then feel free to check out any of my other hundreds of posts. I’ll be featuring products every Thursday for awhile so sit back & enjoy!

 photo DSCN5802_zps50c3ff2e.jpg

I believe this is my first Throwback Thursday post featuring a higher end brand. I grew up on Lancome & my mother still swears by most their products today. Because of this, I had Lancome in my life which made me feel fancy. Both of these quads were part of some kind of gift with purchase I’m sure & I adored them. I have some other quads but these were my 2 favorites. Want to make this post so special? I think Misty Mink from the Lancome Maquiriche quad which also contains Creme Lustre, Burnt Sand, & Honeymoon. I adored it then & it is still rather lovely. What makes the Lancome Color Focus Quad in Positive, Peep, Contrast, & Darkroom so special? I wore this on some of my first dates where I’m sure I looked like a harlot.

 photo DSCN5794_zpsba5317a2.jpg
 photo DSCN5801_zps88607818.jpg
 photo DSCN5804_zpsefa21d3d.jpg

Nothing too wild on the packaging. I’m pretty sure these are still quite similar to the freebie quads they give away now right?

 photo DSCN5809_zps7268fec3.jpg

Lancome Maquiriche Quad left to right: Creme Lustre, Misty Mink, Honeymoon, & Burnt Sand. No primer.

From looking at the palette you can see I used the heck out of this palette especially the shade Honeymoon. I think I used it as a base shade & highlight for quite awhile. I loved Misty Mink so much…my grown up taupe collection is actually making me tear up a bit. It is like looking back at a ribbon I won in school! I loved this palette but I had very few neutrals I used frequently. This was special.

 photo DSCN5813_zps6f74f76a.jpg

Lancome Color Focus Quad left to right: Peep, Positive, Darkroom, & Contrast. No primer.

I used this quad quite a bit in high school. I loved Positive as a base shade. Why was this a date palette? Those two extremely dark shades of course! I thought smearing them all over my lid (just kill me, really do it) was absolutely the end all be all of sex appeal. Ah to be young & in high school. I used this mostly when I was on dance team & on dates…when looking insane was apparently okay.

What were your favorite eyeshadows growing up? What palettes do you have memories tied to? Is there anything your mother (granmother, sister, aunt, etc.) used or did that rubbed off on you?

The Daily Palette from Two Cosmetics Review & Swatches

March 27, 2013 By StephanieLouise 491Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fthe-daily-palette-from-two-cosmetics.htmlThe+Daily+Palette+from+Two+Cosmetics+Review+%26+Swatches2013-03-27+12%3A51%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fthe-daily-palette-from-two-cosmetics-review-swatches.html

*Disclo from PR photo blogdisclosure-providedbypr_zps4579e400.jpg
When it comes to an easy eyeshadow look, I always grab for neutrals. Yes, I count taupe as neutral so don’t be silly. The point is, without  great neutral palette getting ready in a hurry is just more work! Today I’m showing you The Daily Palette from Two Cosmetics which is very reminiscent of the original Urban Decay Naked palette…but for a fraction of the price!

First, Two Cosmetics is a charitable makeup company. For every product you purchase they donate one to a worthy woman. I believe they switch up charities & currently one of their charities is Support Military Spouses which obviously holds a special place in my heart being that I’m an Air Force spouse. Cheers to brands that give back.

 photo DSCN5996_zpsf22c99cf.jpg
 photo DSCN6005_zpse9060029.jpg

This palette is stored in your average cardboard packaging & comes with a decent eyeshadow brush.

Here are some close ups of the shades so you can see them with a bit more detail:

 photo DSCN6011_zpsd9219a5d.jpg
 photo DSCN6010_zpsfcb149a4.jpg
 photo DSCN6009_zpsa9e383d0.jpg
 photo DSCN6008_zpsd502b0eb.jpg

You can see the shades vary a bit in finish but they are all easy to wear & neutral. You can also note that these shades aren’t exact dupes of the Urban Decay Naked palette & are just a touch different here & there. I don’t think these differences in general shades is enough to discredit it but rather just a note. Urban Decay shadows swatch smoother but for the price I was impressed with these since this is a nice range for less than half the price.

 photo DSCN6014_zpsd46639ec.jpg

These swatches were done over a primer but I did them with my fingers. Each swatch is even in application.

 photo DSCN6019_zps108015cf.jpg
 photo DSCN6016_zpsba1b2b08.jpg

The stars of this palette are definitely the shimmering shades but overall there is a nice selection. While a few of the mattes don’t show up as well, they are definitely workable. They definitely give off the neutral vibe that the Naked palette has & a few of the shades are different enough that I actually might use them more with neutrals like the more blue toned gunmetal. I love that shade!

The Daily Look Palette is currently on sale for $22.50 on twocosmetics.com which is less than half the price of the Urban Decay Naked palette. I think if you’re looking for a similar palette this is a nice option!

**Product was provided for consideration. For more information, see my disclosure policy.

Throwback Thursday: L’Oreal Colour Contrasts Creme Eyeshadow Duo in 302 Teal Fresco

March 21, 2013 By StephanieLouise 496Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fthrowback-thursday-loreal-colour.htmlThrowback+Thursday%3A+L%27Oreal+Colour+Contrasts+Creme+Eyeshadow+Duo+in+302+Teal+Fresco2013-03-21+21%3A35%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fthrowback-thursday-loreal-colour-contrasts-creme-eyeshadow-duo-in-302-teal-fresco.html

I’ll be featuring products every Thursday for awhile so sit back & enjoy!

 photo DSCN5828_zpsc8992314.jpg

Why hello there one of the only creme eyeshadows I ever used in middle/high school that didn’t look crap on me! This was an absolutely favorite, of course the white site. You’ll see why when I break down the colors below but for now let us take a look back at the L’Oreal Colour Contrasts by Touch-On Colour which were very slim palettes containing two creme shadows & a mirror. I honestly have zip information on it as I don’t seem to be able to pull up any discontinued information or old info on them. I sure wish they had a date on them!

 photo DSCN5829_zpsdf9818eb.jpg

Why did I love this little duo so much? When I was younger & wanted a quick sweep of makeup I always used something shimmery. This shouldn’t be shocking to anyone right? Anyway, the white side was a frosted super sheer sparkling teal shimmer. These were much more mousse feeling than a creme & they dried to a light powder as long as you didn’t use too much. You can see below they weren’t super pigmented but that didn’t really matter to me!

 photo DSCN5836_zpsf4e9a305.jpg

The teal side is super cool toned & from far away almost looks like a light seafoam teal.

 photo DSCN5835_zpsde234b6f.jpg

The frosted white side (which has seen tons of love!) is a sheer frosty white with teal shimmer packed in. It really flashes in the light.

 photo DSCN5847_zps02308719.jpg
 photo DSCN5840_zpsa9f2b61d.jpg

Here are the easy swatches & you can see what I mean by sheer color. But aren’t they pretty? I still think I’d buy a creme product or base that looked like either of these! I like that the teal is super cool toned so that it can go with blues or greens whether they’re pastel or bright.

What do you think of these shades? They’re still perfectly creamy & gorgeous, way to stand the test of time! Did you have any of these duos? I’d LOVE to hear about them especially if they were different colors than Teal Fresco! Would you buy something similar to this now?

Urban Decay Theodora Oz the Great & Powerful Palette Set Review & Swatches

March 12, 2013 By StephanieLouise 506Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Furban-decay-theodora-oz-great-powerful.htmlUrban+Decay+Theodora+Oz+the+Great+%26+Powerful+Palette+Set+Review+%26+Swatches2013-03-12+22%3A03%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Furban-decay-theodora-oz-the-great-powerful-palette-set-review-swatches.html

 photo mainTheodoraUDPalette_zpsb3dba517.jpg

I realize this has taken forever to get up, but here is my Urban Decay Theodora Oz the Great & Powerful Palette Set Review & Swatches. Definitely more neutral than the Urban Decay Glinda Palette I reviewed here this is an easy palette for day or night wear. With lots of browns, a black, & gold the only colors we really have are greens. Everything feels very natural & I think this is a palette that will look good on pretty much everyone. If you’ve been one of the people reminding me to review the Urban Decay Theodora palette, I thank you. Sometimes I need reminding!

 photo UrbanDecayTheodora1_zps6876c579.jpg
 photo UrbanDecayTheodora2_zps532abd13.jpg

Just like Glinda this is one of the special palettes where you can rearrange eyeshadows & buy singles to put in. All of these shades are limited edition though so if you want them, this palette is a requirement. There are also 2 new kinds of eyeshadows in this palette which are duos. Love them. Need more of these. Check out the Urban Decay Glinda Palette to see my favorite duo & have me explain why I like them so darn much.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodora3_zps89c9d69a.jpg
 photo UrbanDecayTheodora4_zps22b6dded.jpg

Again, like Glinda, this palette is gorgeous. Sturdy metal tin packaging with a big mirror (although it doesn’t stand up on its own…rats!) but I actually prefer this one. I love the mystical & bewitching shades on the cover. Kind of like a subtly evil Aurora Borealis? Love it. Also, all the shadows are moveable so if you want to add some from the permanent line, Glinda palette, or just place them differently you can with ease.

I have to preface this with for some reason, while I was swatching, I didn’t notice how odd the lighting was. We‘ve had lots & lots of snow & it just warped everything in my lighting world. I prefer natural light but didn’t really have a choice. So that’s that. I’ll note any discrepancies bellow.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraBroken_zps583a564a.jpg

Broken- Creamy light beige with a bit of a satin finish. Great highlight shade & inner corner shade. It is warm enough that it works with all of the shades in the palette.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraBeware_zpsf07ec2a6.jpg
Beware- Warm caramel brown matte. This has impeccable pigmentation! This is warmer & darker in person

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraBewitch_zps8d07d481.jpg

Bewitch- Cooler neutral brown with a satin finish. This didn’t photograph as true to color unfortunately. It has a lot more brown to it.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraWest_zps8969a835.jpg

West- Deep brown that lays somewhere between a shimmer & a metallic because it is so pigmented. I absolutely love this shade & so do my blue eyes! This is darker in person.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraSpell_zps292e9cf1.jpg

Spell- On side is a black satin with green shimmer & lime-y golden shimmer. The gold side is a very yellow toned gold with gold glitter. Unfortunately you’ll note some fallout there.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraJealous_zps03c1a2b0.jpg

Jealous- One side is a pale iridescent green it has some pearl to it so it can be applied over other shades to give them lots of depth. The darker shade is a medium green with a bit of yellow with a lighter green satin finish.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraSwatches_zpscd8d420b.jpg

Left to right: Broken, Beware, Bewitch, & West. Bewitch looks more taupe in the swatch than in real life.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraSwatches2_zpsbeadd69c.jpg

Left to right: Jealous, Spell, Pencil in Zero. The base is Theodora Lip Color.

24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero- This is a matte black eyeliner but I wish it had come with Urban Decay Perversion…I love that shade much more!

Urban Decay Theodora Super-Saturated High-Gloss Lip Color-  This is a bright glossy red. i love these pencils & although I am a bit surprised it is so bright & not a bit darker to go with the Theodora theme I still like it quite a bit!

In the end, out of the Theodora & the Glinda, this definitely has the day to day feel with a tad of sultry. For only $49 you get 6 full sized, unique shadows, the Build Your Own Palette, eyeliner, & lip color. A steal in comparison to buying things on their own even though everything but the eyeliner is limited edition. I personally prefer Glinda because it looks quite lovely on my blue eyes & fair skin but I’ve heard from a lot of ladies that it is harder for them. I can’t imagine this palette looking bad on anyone or evern being too hard to work with. Great for a full makeup look or a simple day time eye.

You can purchase the Urban Decay Glinda Oz the Great & Powerful Palette Set from both Sephora & Ulta for $49.

Have you tried this palette? Are you a Glinda or Theodora? What are your favorite shades?  Which palette do you prefer?

Throwback Thursday- Charlotte Russe Eyeshadow Stacks + Swatches

So I have to say, it was hard choosing what I’d feature first. Would I feature something from a brand you all would recognize? A product we could bond over? Nah instead I’m goign to show you 2 loose eyeshadow trios I was completely obsessed with in 6th & 7th grade. They are from Charlotte Russe which was also a seriously big deal & way different back then. It was super trendy & actually pretty new-ish to our mall so I felt pretty cool about the whole thing.

White Stack-

This glitter was definitely a favorite. I rocked this silver holo glitter on my eyes & hair at many a cheesy school dance. The other shades landed on my eyes so often & that was long before shading or contouring. One while is a pale white gold & the other is a pure frosted white.

Pink Stack-

The glitter is a mix of hot pink & white iridescent glitter which was just so freaking hot. I mean, it was multi-colored mixed with hot pink.Gosh I was cool. The other two shades were on my eyes constantly. One is the palest of pinks with pink shimmer while the other is a dusty rose-y pink that kind of looks fire-y on the eye. I also had a shade from Caboodles way back in the day similar to the darker shade I was obsessed with. Even with my teenage makeup ADD I went through like 3 containers of it.

Here I’ve foiled all four of the eyeshadows. Aren’t they pretty? Wish I’d known back then!

I’m honestly not sure which of these trios I used more, the whites or the pinks. White eyeshadow was way cool at my middle school & shimmer was always in. Plus, each of the trios has a loose glitter. Glitter was the bomb ya’ll. I never foiled them back then (I wouldn’t have even known what that was) but man are they pretty right? These are powdered mineral shadows without any smell, have been sanitized, & the colors haven’t shifted a bit. The containers are dirty, cracked here & there, & I don’t think they ever quite closed right. I never cared & looking at them now I’m impressed by the quality. Its too bad Charlotte Russe stopped making these because wow they’re lovely.

They’re pretty great right? Did you use loose eyeshadows back in the day? What were your favorite colors to wear?
