Both of these palettes will be available exclusively at ULTA on Black Friday. If you’re a fan of the LORAC formula (one of my absolute favorites!) then you’ll want to snag these for only $18 each! They’re each completely different as well so make sure you check out the shades inside! Also- the 20’s inspired packaging has completely stolen my heart. Obviously you guys love it too since you saw my sneak peek on instagram here & went wild!
First up is the Black Tie Affair Palette- the warmer palette with notes of copper & rose gold to make it unique! The pigmentation is gorgeous- only one shade is sheer & that is the matte cream shade. It is buildable though! I don’t mind that it is less pigmented since it makes an excellent blending shade.
The standout shades for me here are the muted rose gold metallic located dead center & the metallic, rich copper on the bottom. Love! All of these shades are swatched on bare skin with my finger. You can see the two shades in the upper section to the far right are matte. You can definitely get a complete eye look thanks to those mattes as well without being full shine since most of this palette is more metallic.
Next up is Tails & Top Hats! This is the cooler, smokier eyeshadow palette of the two. This palette leans very taupe & contains lovely neutrals. Plus loves of finishes in comparison!
I absolutely adore the two taupe shades in this palette- both a bit unique. The shade next to the matte black is definitely more sultry & purple. The taupe next to it is more of a true taupe but with a bit of pink. The cream, brown next to it, & black are all matte shades. The black kicks up a bit because it is more stiff but it makes it easy to smoke out. The bottom right shade had some sort of overspray which made it LOOK taupe but the color swatches is actually accurate! That was a surprise!
