Things I love about autumn- vampy nails, vampy nails, vampy nails. Okay so I also like pumpkin everything & dozens of other fall staples but vampy, fall nails are what I’ve been craving! Today I’m showing you how to get this metallic foil accent nail for seriously cheap! If you’re one of those people that always comments “I love your nail art! But I could never do it!” then this is the post for you!
So what is that shiny stuff on my nails? Well the base color is the absolutely gorgeous Zoya Tara from the autumn collection I have reviewed here. The metallic flake is actually sold in sheets & you can get it in multiple colors. I bought mine off Amazon here for an absolute steal! That set in particular comes with multiple shades of foil which is what I’d recommend looking out for. More bang for your buck!
There are some basic rules when working with this kind of foil & the #1 is DON’T TOUCH. Seriously- it’ll stick to the moisture on your skin & that’s a waste. I use tweezers personally but I know some people use a damp toothpick. Start at a corner & tear or cut the sheets into the sizes you’re looking for. To apply just lay on top of tacky polish. I top mine with clear top coat as well! You can see what it looks like in the package here– they look like crumpled sheets. & make sure you keep them in your little container or else it will crumble with the friction in a bag.
