This morning I woke up to the heater being off. I left my slippers downstairs so I had to walk barefoot on the tile. I then proceeded to freeze my hands when washing them. Winter is definitely here. Because I grew up in southern California, I am a bit bias about this winter nonsense. I would much rather visit snow than live in it. The one shining light during this season for me is the makeup…& all of the new releases! It Cosmetics is one of my favorite brands & today I get to share one of my favorite lippies in a limited edition form.

The packaging on this trio is obviously amazing- the more companies that catch on to the awesomeness that is holo the better. The It Cosmetics CC+ Lip Serum Limited Edition Holiday Collection includes three Hydrating Anti-Aging Color Correcting Crème Glosses. All three shades are limited edition & I believe exclusive to this set. I’ve actually reviewed It Cosmetics glosses on my blog here & here…& actually bought one for my mom as an early Christmas present! Can you guess if I will like these yet?
The packaging on these glosses & the set overall is so appropriate. It looks like it could be a holiday gift but isn’t in-your-face about it. I’ve raved about this formula & taken close-up photos of the wand & applicator here so I won’t post them again…but I will tell you why I love these glosses as a line. When I think of my favorite type of gloss the word “buttery” comes to mind. I love the formula of a smooth, even sort of hydrating gloss that isn’t too tacky. While I like tacky glosses for longevity, I am far more likely to prefer a buttery gloss that may need reapplication. I have dry lips so I really notice & appreciate the face that they are both not drying & actually smooth out my lip lines. I just adore them.
I like the varying shades in this trio overall & they really stick to It Cosmetic’s wearable color range. The welled doefoot on these glosses (better photos in my post here) has quickly become one of my favorite ways to apply gloss. Only a few brands have caught on so far but I really want to convince more to look into it! The well at the tip means no more pumping air into your lipgloss & likely getting the perfect amount for application each time. Yes dahling, I love you. The glosses are infused with collagen, hyaluronic acid, peptides, plum oil, cherry oil, shea butter, avocado oil, argan oil, & jojoba for the most comfortable lip feeling. The shades in the trio are It Cosmetics CC+® Lip Serum Hydrating Anti-Aging Color Correcting Crème Glosses in Snowbunny, Joy to the Wold, & Under the Mistletoe. I’ll break down my preferences etc. below in the full-face swatches.
It Cosmetics CC+® Lip Serum Hydrating Anti-Aging Color Correcting Crème Gloss in Joy to the World- What bad is there to say about a gorgeous, rich red-toned berry shade? This is my jam for winter. This color just looks so healthy & happy without being a bother to keep up with.
It Cosmetics CC+® Lip Serum Hydrating Anti-Aging Color Correcting Crème Gloss in Snowbunny- You don’t have to say it- I know it looks ridiculous. I wouldn’t be wearing this one on its own in real life- think of this as a layering shade. If you top a liner or lipstick with this ultra pale, sheer baby pink it will give it kind of a milky, softened look. Again I promise not to go out like this in public.
It Cosmetics CC+® Lip Serum Hydrating Anti-Aging Color Correcting Crème Gloss in Under the Mistletoe- Yes. So much yes. I’m a sucker for these perfect mauve “I wish my lips looked like this all the time” shades that just look so effortless. This is my new go-to & I’ll probably have to fight myself all winter to wear something else.
Left to right we have the It Cosmetics CC+® Lip Serum Hydrating Anti-Aging Color Correcting Crème Glosses in Snowbunny, Under the Mistletoe, & Joy to the World.
