Ever walked through TJ Maxx & spied an OPI you’ve never seen? Well I did! I promptly placed it in my cart (along with way too much other stuff) & didn’t think twice about it. When I looked at it in the car on the way home I really thought it was stunning- flakie & shimmer & yes! So much yes! This got me thinking- why am I the only one crazy about it? Why haven’t I heard of this shade? Just wait to find out why because this is one weird OPI tale!

OPI Frog in My Throat- A blackened green sheer base packed with mossy shimmer, holo micro glitter, & fiery orange flakies. Shown here in 2 coats. Note that the holo bits mostly sink straight to the bottom so it needs to be shaken well!
After reading many blogs with lots of random information on these shades- the fabulous I’m a Beauty Geek blog broke it down in an easy to read list. I definitely wasn’t the only one taking notice & there are lots more OPI TJ Maxx shades out there that are mystery shades! After comparing online with my girl Michelle Mismas of All Lacquered Up & her swatches I knew this was the version I had. In fact- as you can see from the Sephora website above- this is a pretty exclusive shade! This was a lemming for lots of ladies so I’m so glad I stumbled upon it! Isn’t this a random thing though? I wonder how many other shades I’ve picked up not realizing it was a repackaged shade with a new name from OPI!
Have you ever stumbled onto a makeup mystery? What is your lemming polish? What is your favorite OPI shade?
