Have you ever tried a lip gloss that just…wasn’t a love match? Sometimes they’re too tacky or too thin or just…stink. Well you won’t be reading about any such thing on my blog today! The drugstore has some fantastic products in general but these Milani Brilliant Shine Lipglosses are some of the very best. Keep reading to check out these 4 shades on my lips!
For around $5 a piece these glosses are a shocker. I never know what to expect in a gloss because everyone has such different expectations but this one is incredible! This range has 14 shades & while I only have 4 to share with you today I’m hoping to collect many more. The texture is the same across the board- a bit thick but completely smooth. There is enough tackiness that they last a nice chunk of time but also incredibly comfortable.
I think pigmentation varies across the range but the shades I have a generally quite lovely. The wand is nice as well with a longer overall style. I love these flattened doe-foot applicators because it makes application a bit quicker & these colors all look really smooth. They fill in most lines & leave a glossy finish. I find the scent to be slightly sweet vanilla toned but they don’t have any taste. I also find these a bit on the moisturizing side as many thicker glosses suck the moisture out of my lips.
From left to right we have Milani Brilliant Shine Lipgloss in Coral Crush, Pink Lady, Luminous, & Bare Secret.
Milani Brilliant Shine Lipgloss in Coral Crush– This shade is a creamy peach-leaning coral. Isn’t this such a healthy looking shade? It screams summer but I can see layering this year-round.
Milani Brilliant Shine Lipgloss in Pink Lady– This is a cool-toned medium creamy pink. I really adore this shade all by itself! I can also layer it over pinks but I think it looks lovely either way.
Milani Brilliant Shine Lipgloss in Luminous– This is my shimmering shade which is mainly gold within a peachy pink base. This is a bit more sheer than the other three shades but I prefer it that way! I like this shade all over my lips but it is perfection right in the center of the lip to fake fullness. Beautiful in sunshine!
Milani Brilliant Shine Lipgloss in Bare Secret– & last is a creamy neutral brown. You don’t see me in nudes very often & while this is a bit well…brown for me personally I’ve found I use it a ton! I love to use this shade to tone down other lipsticks & make shades more wearable.
What are your favorite shades from this line? I have a sincere need to collect more & would love to hear your favorites!
