So kick the weekend off to a great start I have my new favorite necklace to show you & a giveaway! Freshie & Zero specializes in simple designs that are really beautiful. I strive to create jewelry that is simple and feminine, modern yet classic. I tend to use basic geometric shapes and I constantly push myself to create new ways of making a unique piece of jewelry out of these basic forms. Each piece is handcrafted using a hammer and wire and the end result is a mix of delicate sophistication and bold elegance, from the dainty wire outlines to the more solid silver hammered discs. Occasionally I add touches of semi-precious gemstones or pearls, and have started doing more wire wrapping to add touches of delicate and edgy irregularity.

This is the gorgeous Freshie & Zero Many Moons necklace in sterling silver. You can see the hammering which is a lovely touch.

Now you can see the length, it is perfect on its own but also for layering. My favorite is the silver since I wear silver the most often plus I like to mix & match metals. You can also order this necklace in gold or in the oxidized option. Mine is the 16 inch so it is a bit shorter. If you don’t plan on layering then the 18 inch length might be better for you. Scunci Hair Chalking Kit Review & Giveaway!

I love color in my hair (planning on putting something more permanent in soon!) but hair chalking kits are starting to pop up here & there in all price ranges, shades, & setups so it is hard to choose just one! The Scunci Hair Chalk kit comes with 2 shades & an applicator that resembles a small hair straightener. With the phrase “Easy to use!” & ringing in under $10, you have to be curious to try it out right? Keep reading to find out what I think, how it looks, & enter for your chance to win one!

These packs come in two shade options: Pink/Green & Purple/Coral. I’ll be keeping my eye out for the other duo but I have the Pink/Green option today. If you’ve never used hair chalk before, it is actually pretty easy & I found this method quite a bit less messy with this first application using the Scuni tool. To change colors all you have to do is slide the chalk out of the holder & slide the other shade in. I am a bit worried what will happen when I use the chalk down to a nub or if I crack it though. When/if that happens I’ll just place it between my palms & use it the way I normally use brick hair chalk I suppose!

Some things to remember about hair chalking:
– It will be messy but it will also wash off!
– Dampening hair will make the color significantly more intense.
– You can layer more chalk on if you want more vibrancy.
– I’ve found a touch of hairspray definitely helps color stay in.

This black hair straightener-esque tool kind of works like pinchers grasping onto hair while you apply pressure. You can apply color pretty much however you want root to tips, streaks, just tips, ombre, etc. I went with bigger streaks so you can really see the color. There was a bit of tugging in some areas but that’s just the learning curve. I eventually found the right angle & twist motion.

Overall I didn’t find this difficult to use but I’ve also worked with hair color before. The pigmentation isn’t out of this world but it is buildable so I like it. I really liked both of these shades on me as well & I think they held up the same as other, more expensive hair chalking kits. This has me really looking out for the purple/coral type set since I think those shades would be really pretty together! I think this is really fun, especially for summer hair fun! I also think this would be easier to use on children since you have a bit more control. Who doesn’t want a bit more control when doing children’s hair?

The packaging on these glosses is modern & awesome. I love a gloss with a mirror & a light so this hits both those notes perfectly. You can see through the tube & see the color along with the Beauty for Real name. On the bottle there is a label with the shade name ( Kiss Me), website, & product amount. On top of the tube is the button you press to turn on the led lights.

The gloss has your average doe foot applicator, not too big or too small. Perfect for application. There are two lights up in the lid on either side of the wand. They allow you to view on application in dim lighting or you can use it as a mini flashlight if you really need to. I won’t lie, I’ve totally done this.

This shade in particular is a MBB (my lips but better) pink shade with some shimmer. I’m pretty fair so obviously this might be more or less opaque on someone else. You can layer this on in a light coat or build up the opacity. This gloss feels great on & glides on smooth without getting too tacky. It is the great in-between so that it lasts a good amount of time but doesn’t cling. This gloss is also nice & moisturizing so wear is comfortable!

You can purchase this gloss & other Beauty for Real products on the Beauty for Real site. This gloss retails for $22.00 on its own but they sometimes offer lipgloss sets. I’m really hoping to try some more shades soon!

So I’ve been using a Conair Topsy Tail for a long time now. I’ve bought a lot of hair gadgets over the years but this one is of the few remaining in my collection.
