Affordable skincare is hard to find- especially something that targets specific skin concerns! Pixi has always been a hit with me & my combo/dry skin so this new Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky line definitely had me intrigued! I have my thoughts on the majority of the line below including the tonic, cleanser, makeup remover, peel, & lotion! Keep reading to check everything out!
Step one after a long day is the Pixi Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover! Some removers are too harsh- removing not just makeup but skin’s natural oils. I need those! I love the push-down top on this which makes it perfect for reusable makeup removing cloths (like these that I love!) or cotton rounds. While I actually love the makeup cloths that promise you don’t need water etc- I used waterproof eye products frequently & don’t want to vigorously rub around my eyes! They recommend shaking before use then I just press to get the product on the cloth, press on my eyes/lips for a few seconds, & boom!
To get skin clean we have the Pixi Hydrating Milky Cleanser. The ingredients really cater to my dry/combo skin with coconut, probiotics, & willow bark extract which really helps for more sensitive skin spots. It cleanses skin & like the makeup remover…doesn’t strip it! Ever had a cleanser that made your skin feel WAY too tight after use? This won’t be a problem!
As a toning step I reach for the Pixi Hydrating Milky Tonic. While more oily skin tends to need something more purifying- this tonic with oat extract calms my redness & any harsh spots! After wiping with a cotton pad is when I treat any break outs if necessary. I love that this isn’t oily but is still moisturizing so it doesn’t make my skin feel unbalanced or dried out.
For moisturizer in this line we have the Pixi Hydrating Milky Lotion. This moisturizer comes in a HUGE size & is an awesome value! I tend to apply my serum then a moisturizing step like this. This formula is a blend of coconut oil, shea butter, & cocoa seed extract. Mellow & does the job!
To keep skin looking fresh & remove the dead layers they also have the Pixi Hydrating Milky Peel. Peels are excellent for my skin- you’ll notice I recommend the peeling gels a ton because they gently remove ALL the dead skin without any harsh exfoliation! This is a very gentle micro-peeling cream & it has helped my dry patches so much!
The only item from this line I haven’t tried is the Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum so in place of that product I’ve continued using my Pixi Beauty Jasmine Oil Blend (a peek at my thoughts on instagram here!) which helps heal & nourish my skin. For reference, I tend to apply it either with the lotion/moisturizer step mixed in or alone pressing into my skin with fingertips right before on the more dry areas of my face.
You can purchase Pixi Beauty products (both makeup & skincare!) from the Pixi website here & from Target here!
