Probiotics are all the rage the past few years- but did you know you can find them in skincare as well? LaFlore Skincare uses proprietary Probiotic Technology. Their products use only active biomolecules at clinical strengths along with a synergistic blend of natural ingredients to achieve a state of skin equilibrium. LaFlore working with your own good flora, the microbes that live on the skin and enhances the skin’s defense system to protect it from threats like environmental toxins as well as the multitude of products used on it daily. Interesting chunk o’ science there, right? Well- let me break it down a bit- the line aims to balance YOUR skin for the best skin ever. There- that’s a nice, simple explanation! Keep reading to check out three of their products I’ve been testing!
Let me get started with the first step- the LaFlore Probiotic Cleanser. This is a mild cleanser & it doesn’t strip my skin too much. LaFlore actually recommends only using a cleanser once per day. I tried it, I really did, but I still needed to wash twice per day. My skin just felt better! The formula “is infused with clinical strength ingredients like Perilla Seed Oil, Luteolin, Terpens and Phenols for natural exfoliation that helps skin hydration, circulation and cell renewal.” For more exfoliation, I used either my cleansing brush or a washcloth.
The second step is the LaFlore Serum Concentrate used as your serum aka the first thing after cleanser/toner you want touching your skin because you want it to be more effective. I only used it before bed! The Probiotic Serum also has a brightening effect that happens at the cellular level by reducing the melanin & creates the even skin tone. The formula includes aloe, hemp seed oil, sea buckthorn fruit oil, St. John’s oil, avocado, jojoba, squalane, & Beta Carotene to bring back balance to skin. This allows it to rest & heal, while increasing cell communication, calming inflammation + boosting the immune system. The Serum concentrate can also be used as a spot treatment for blemishes or to help calm rosacea. I actually do think this serum was fabulous for my skin! I noticed with the combination of products my skin was feeling a bit brighter.
Last up is the LaFlore Probiotic Daily Defense Moisturizer. LaFlore is in early development, working on sunscreen products, so be sure to top with SPF. You guys know I’m an SPF advocate so please don’t forget your sunscreen!!! The moisturizer itself is lightweight & promises to “enhance collagen synthesis for a stronger skin barrier to fight off skin stress from environmental aggressors, cosmetics, cleansers, & soaps.” I loved the ingredient list which includes aloe, pycnogenol, bisabolol oil, pomegranate seed oil, vitamin D3, & hyaluronic acid. Plus added pearls! My skin responds really well to acids & I think it help keeps my skin feeling & looking smooth while retaining moisture!
“LaFlore also features aloe, not water, as the main ingredient. Aloe has been clinically studied for its healing properties, anti-inflammatory actions and positive effects on the immune system. Chronic low level skin irritation can reduce the skin barrier function and accelerate skin aging and aloe works to reduce this.”
My skin reacts incredibly well with aloe- so this makes sense! It helps balance my dry areas without making me oily. All LaFlore products are plant based, organic, ECOCERT (planet friendly), cruelty free, & free of soy, gluten, parabens, & sulfates.
