When a new season comes around the bend, most people change things up. Lip colors for summer? Bright & warm! Fall lip colors? Vampy & sultry! Now I’m not saying you have to go with the crowd because if you feel like rocking a coral blush in the middle of autumn- have at it! What I will say is it isn’t only my color cosmetics I switch out- it is everything! My skincare, hair care, foundations, & concealers all get a new blend as well. For autumn I tend to go for a lighter shade (goodbye self tanner!) & something a bit more comfortable. Keep reading to check out my picks & how I use them!
When it comes to concealers- I do love one in a tube. I can apply a bit to the back of my hand then seamlessly blend with a clean brush or fingertip. A newer concealer to me is the Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer which comes in the black squeeze tube above with a nice, small opening. It is easy to apply, non-cakey, & water-resistant which is perfect for rain & snow. Some you can even use directly on the skin- like the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Eye Full Coverage Cream. I love this cooling, metal tip on puffy eyes! The formula is super blendable & it works to cover any discoloration while adding in an spf of 50+. The third concealer above is another new find- the Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer which has another small applicator. This concealer is particularly high-coverage- but work with it fast to blend effectively!
For my undereyes the Tarte CC Undereye Corrector. Here you’ll see the BB version but I have both & find them quite similar. This correcting shade is the epitome of salmon- so if you get dark circles like I do you’ll love it for covering super dark or discolored eyes. Probably one of my most-used concealers in the past few months is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer because it is just so darn easy. This is super blendable, has strong coverage, & the finish is really natural. When I’m on the go or have a blemish in a weird spot I’ve been reaching for the NYX Wonder Pencil because it can conceal, brighten, & line. Have a zit that your concealer budged from but you don’t want to screw up your foundation to cover it? This pinpoint is the answer! Last is the Amazing Cosmetics Perfection Stick which is really unique! I love how natural this blends- perfect if I need to touch up my concealer throughout the day without looking cakey. Probably the best for travel since it is in a stick form & doesn’t need sharpening too!
