I’m a big fan of the Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks & when I saw the new shades in the Rebel Bloom Collection I was sold. This collection came out months ago but I’m just now getting around to reviewing! I wore quite a few shades throughout spring & I’m actually finding myself reaching for them even more as summer approaches full heat! Check out my swatches & review below!
I actually quite like Maybelline packaging- always consistent. The scent is still that familiar smell though the formula has definitely improved over the years. I like this brightened purple packaging paired with the metallic silver- it fits the overall brightened pastel feel with the entire collection. I’ve seen the color selection described as muted neons & bright pastels- definitely the vibe Maybelline was going for I thing.
From top to bottom left to right I have the Maybelline Rebel Bloom Lipstick shades in 700 Barely Bloomed, 705 Blushing Bud, 715 Hibiscus Pop, 720 Power Peony, 725 Liliac Flush, 730 Orchid Ecstasy, 735 Rose Rush, 740 Coral Burst, & 745 Peach Poppy. I’m missing 710 Petal Pink- there are 10 shades total. All of these shades are creamy & contain no shimmer.
This formula is infused with honey nectar & I notice they’re quite comfortable. The texture is easy to build & creamy- not glossy with slip. Even though these have pastel attributes, they don’t come off chalky on the lips at all. One important thing to note with the comfort is that I noticed they wore off pretty evenly as well. If you’re looking to play with more vibrant shades I think these would be a great, easy place to start!

This collection is beautiful & definitely makes me think of a bouquet of springy buds. There is a bit for everyone- pinks, reds, purples, & even neutrals. The variety is appealing- especially to someone who wears all kinds of shades like me! These “rebellious pastels” are pretty, spunky, & just plain fun.
You can purchase these Maybelline lipsticks from anywhere Maybelline is sold or pick it up at ULTA like I did! Keep an eye out for a deal & stock up! Any shades here look like something you’d wear? Any other trends you’d like to see drugstore brands pick up on?
