Powder isn’t always my friend. I’ve had dry skin for as long as I can remember & when all of my friends were in the middle school bathroom over-powdering their faces I was too. This has scarred me to this day obviously. Not all or even very many powders play nicely with dry skin but I’ve found that the ones I do like have a lot of things in common.

So the Beauteque Mineral Powder in Porcelain Princess definitely isn’t a downer for me. Notice that it catches the light but doesn’t shimmer- this definitely helps my skin not to look flat. That’s a requirement especially for this dry season. They actually include a kabuki brush with your order as well which is really soft. I love these brushes- especially for travel. They do a great job of buffing in product & actually multi-tasking for highlighter & bronzer.

The powder itself is a great color match for me which can be tough because I’m so fair.  You can see in this shot how finely milled it is. This powder is soft so make sure & not get vigorous with is. Imagine running your brush over a velvet & not a hard foundation. The Beauteque Mineral Powders are paraben-free, gluten-free, allergen-free & fragrance-free.

I am not a huge fan of just using powder as my coverage so I prefer this over a BB cream or tinted moisturizer. I love that it sets my face without mattifying too much to the point where it looks unnatural. I find this powder to be lightweight but buildable. It is silky smooth & easy to blend. I wish there was a mirror in the packaging but the free brush definitely makes up for that! I was really tired the day i took this picture but I still like the way my skin looks! You can see the products I used for this eye look in my post here!

You can purchase the Beauteque Mineral Powder in your matching shade from the Beauteque website here.

What are your favorite powders? Have you tried anything from Beauteque? Anything else on their site you’d like to see me review?
