If you saw my review of the Styli-Style Line & Seal 24 Hour Semi Permanent Eyeliners then you know how excited I am about the relaunch of this line! Today I’ll be showing you 2 Glide on Blush Sticks & tell you why I like them so very much!

From Styli-Style- Avoid clown cheeks with our 100% product control blush stick that deposits a light sheen of color that blends in easily into the skin. Keep sweeping the stick across your cheeks to build your custom color.

So in case you’re not familiar with this type of product, these are basically a stick form of a cream blush. I absolutely loved the option from NYC but they were discontinued. I have quite a few tints in this form but not as many blushes. I love them! I apply with a small stippling brush which gives me loads of control. If I’m only in a hurry then I apply a bit to my fingers & lightly blend. Perfection!

These are described as sheer but with only a few swipes you can see the color really pops! They can be worn alone for a fresh pinch to your cheeks, layered with other shades to create a custom blend, or worn my favorite way which is as a base to keep powder blushes lasting much longer!

Masquerade: Styli calls this a hot pink but I see it more as a punchy coral. This is a satin sheen finish.

Peachy Keen: This is described as a coral but I feel like it has a lot more peach to it. This one has more shimmer & again that satin type finish.

I really like these but I wish there were more creamy options! I highly recommend checking Styli-Style out as it hits stores near you! I know I’ve been gone awhile but boy did I need a bit of vacation time! I still have about another week here but now that IMATS LA is over & I’m back from a mini trip to Big Bear I’m going to try to be better about updating! A lot of the items I had prepped to go just didn’t make it here & I honestly am embarassed to photograph at my parent’s house….this lighting is awful!

I thought I’d start off my IMATS LA 2013 posts with one of my absolute favorite parts…Battle of the Brushes! I absolutely love watching these talented makeup artists compete & to make this year even more incredible, the theme was OZ! I went on Sunday so if you were there another day you missed out!

Didn’t they do an amazing job? We were definitely in awe! If I wasn’t already stalking the new movie ( I really, REALLY am!) then I definitely would be now!

Wet n Wild has come up with an all new line by Fergie including some eyeshadow palettes, a primer, lippies, & more. I picked up a couple of items & will be sharing them with you over the next few weeks. This creme liner definitely stood out to me the most though so I went right to work using it! I didn’t have a favorite gel/creme liner this year, nothing struck me enough. I think that has changed!

Let’s look at the packaging & the brush shall we? So you get 0.10 oz of product in a little glass jar. To compare, a MAC Fluidline contains the same amount of product.

This has a plastic lid that doesn’t feel as nice as the jar but not bad quality. It seems to close completely which is really important for cream products. I wanted to show you the base of the pot because this is something common with makeup, lots of excess glass which makes you think there is more product.

I had a bad experience with the brush. I’ve been watching & reading lots of reviews though & I guess I’m the only one. I was using the brush for the first time & really liking it. At the end of my makeup test I went to clean it as I would any brush…& when I looked down ALL the bristles were gone! They slide down in the brush handle! I shook them out & got the photo above. I wish this had worked for but I have to be able to clean a brush!

The product itself is nice! I did the swatches above left to right by doing a quick swatch, building up opacity then testing it by rubbing it with my finger pretty roughly. You can see a bit moved (I swiped up & down) but I think it was because it wasn’t completely dry. To the right is freshly swatched.

On the eye, this definitely stays. It moved on my waterline though but right now I have alergy eyes so i can’t really test the waterline as well. It faded a touch on my lashline by the end of the day though. Faded, didn’t travel or diasappear. I need to work with this some more obviously & hopefully when my eyes are back to normal I can do a waterline test.

Now some people are saying this seems the exact same as the Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme liner but I don’t agree. This seems blacker to me (I didn’t have a pot to compare right now!) & definitely more long wearing. I’m impressed with both liners, I think it is a matter of preference. I definitely prefer more long wearing & waterproof products so I love this new option!

Now obviously I haven’t this enough to know how the product will last overall in the pot. Creme products usually dry up before you have a chance to finish them unless they are uniquely great quality or you use them everyday. Only time will tell on that.

I picked up this liner at Walgreens & I’m guessing these are exclusive to Walgreens? I’m not sure. I recommend checking this out if you like long wearing makeup, black liner, & an afforadble price tag.

What do you guys think of the new Fergie for Wet n Wild line? How about this liner? I’d love to hear about if your brush was good quality as well because…mine was a sad story! I’ll probably get this in brown too so maybe that brush will be better!

Good morning! Today I have a collection of deals from Art of Shaving to share with you! When it comes to shopping for men I pretty much lose it. I feel like there is always one more makeup product, nail polish, purses, pair of heels…oh you get it? There’s always one more thing that someone can gift me. Why is this? Because I am not a man. 

Seriously, my dad & husband just buy what they want when they want it. Video game? Bought it. Clothes? They either think they don’t need more or they’ve bought what they want. Food? Okay you can buy them food but I feed my husband nightly so that isn’t special. The trick to holiday shopping for someone like this is to buy them something outside the box. Although they might not think to buy themselves a nice shaving set, they’ll definitely like it!

I recommend a full size shaving kit for a nice gift! The Art of Shaving have many to choose from including options in the scents lemon, lavender, sandalwood, & the oh-so-giftable unscented. Unscented is just the easiest to go with for me…I’m so picky abotu scents that I assume everyone else is too!

When it comes to facial masks, I happen to be addicted. Masks help cure all of my skin ailments…from dry to oily & dull to acne prone! There is always something promising me that my skin could be just a bit better! 

The Hawaiian Seaweed Mask from Reviva Labs is the perfect mask to keep your skin on the right track. While I need something a bit deeper when my skin is more acne prone or more moisturizing when it is ultra-dry, this is the perfect balancing act. Not too moisturizing or too drying this mask leaves me skin feeling just a notch or two better than before. I love masks like this because it makes your skin feel just a bit cleaner & freer! This is the first clay mask I’ve ever recommended for normal skin!

I tried doing so many things with this challenge, mainly stamping. Nope, I wasn’t having any of that. I seriously went through 3 designs before I finally said “I’M GOING LITERAL!” I decided to go with some dotting & glitter layering. It may not be the most fantastic manicure I’ve done, but it looks like snow to me!

Layer 1: 2 thin coats Nicole by OPI Me + Blue (that’s the holo effect)
Layer 2: Dotting using Essie Tennis Corset
Layer 3: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Glass Slipper

So I know I’m a bit late to the party with these but I have acquired SO many palettes lately & wanted to really use each of these new Wet n Wild palettes! Sparkle Til Morning is absolutely beautiful & totally fulfills my shimmering neutral addiction. With the pop of blue/teal & the deep chocolate brown I find this palette really sets you up for a dramatic look, easy look, & endless combinations. This is a dream for makeup beginners because any of these shades could easily get together & make a sweet eyeshadow look.

Left Side Swatches are from top to bottom in the palette: shimmery golden vanilla, light shimmery cocoa, shimmery copper, & a bright aqua/teal shimmer. All of these are nicely pigmented.

Right Side Swatches are from top to bottom in the palette: warm champagne/beige, nearly metallic warm bronze, satin medium brown with cool tones, & a deep chocolate with burgundy shimmer. Great pigmentation.

I went ahead & used the right side of this palette for this eye look. I played with the darkest shade & did half liner instead of using such a fine brush or placing it all the way around. Just switching it up! I loved these, they went on super easy. They are soft & oober pigmented. I feel like this is one of those times when using a sponge applicator or small dense brush really helps. You can get fallout with these shades because they are so buttery which is why I prefer to use a denser tool!

As always, I wish I had the option of a matte shade within this palette but if you love matte you can look WAY back at my eyeshadow look from the I heart (<3) Matte Palette which is the same as Drinking a Glass of Shine. Indeed.

When it comes to mirrors, I seem to be drowning in them. Big mirrors, compact mirrors, bedazzled mirrors, cheap mirrors, cracked mirrors, etc…why yes there are more but I think you get the idea!  My favorite mirror now is called a Model Mirror & it has everything I need for on the go & full makeup routines.

I admit, I am digging cosmetics with lights in them. My main issue? When I travel, I often pack one large bag (for the flight), one shoulder bag (for running around), & at least 2-3 clutches for going out. Guess what will fit in a clutch? My neccessary cards/IDs, a lipstick or gloss, a perfume sample, a few bobby pins, my phone (if I’m lucky), & this wonderful mirror.

With 2X magnification on one side & 8 LED lights, I am thrilled to be a proud Model Mirror owner. I feel like I’ve been looking for a mirror this thin but durable for so long! It comes with a drawstring pouch for me to keep it safe in my bag as well. It is big enough for me to apply a full face of makeup (which I’ve done many times before!) but small enough to carry around daily. I love this little gadget!

So I am always trying to find a great toothpaste. I tend to prefer something for sensitive teeth (since I have been whitening especially) & one with some kind of whitening component is nice as well. Obviously taste is a factor but I’m not too picky about mints. I just want something that tastes & smells fresh. When you use whitening strips, get your teeth professionally whitened, or use some type of home remedy at home, sensitivity can be a big issue. My teeth have always been somewhat discolored & sensitive so this is something I have to take into consideration. I’ve been using this in conjunction with a whitening product (more to come on that later this week!) & have really been enjoying it.
