So I took a little break from blogging for my birthday but I definitely needed it. I’m feeling so much better & am excited to jump back into it. We had a week of night shift for my husband’s job which always throws us for a loop then he took up until Monday off for birthday fun! & boy was it fun!

I freely admit I am spoiled. We don’t have kids so Ryan tends to spoil me for my birthday, especially since we’re so far from family. Military life! Anyway! So we went & watched two movies & ate sushi. & went shopping pretty much all weekend. Woohoo! I picked up some awesome stuff & that combined with the products that have landed on my doorstep I’m pretty avalanched with items right now. So I want your help! As you read this, keep in mind things you want to see sooner rather than later & let me know in the comments pretty please? I’d appreciate it!

So I went with an easy purple eyeshadow look using my Urban Decay Vice Palette. I love this look so much & I felt so confident & fantastic in it! From inner corner to outter corner I have Urban Decay Provocateur (applied wet), Rapture on the lid, & Vice to darken up the edges. Loved it!

 photo 2013-04-07100503_zps06258968.png

So the day of I got some beautiful roses, an absolutely sweet card, Heath Ice Cream Cake, & Cake Batter Ice Cream. He’s a good man. & I posted pictures on my Instagram! I love Instagram so I hope you’re following me. if not, then check it out here! Now onto the presents!

 photo DSCN6877_zps3efc2685.jpg

So first off is the randoms. The Marc Jacobs Sunshine Eau So Fresh is from Ryan for my birthday & I adore Marc Jacobs fragrances. This screams pretty spring to me & I love it! The other fragrance is from Carol’s Daughter & it is called Ecstasy. I got a sample of this scent in a lotion & fell in love so now I finally have a rollerball! I’m hoping to review this later on. The lipstick is a Rimmel Kate Moss in the shade 17 which I somehow didn’t own. I picked up the Sephora birthday gift freebie which is from Benefit this year & contains a mini They’re Real Mascara & Watt’s Up!  which is super cute. Love a freebie. The palette was on clearance & is one the the all-in-one Sephora brand mini palettes that I love to stash in my purse or travel with. It was Limited Edition.

 photo DSCN6884_zpscb61e6c7.jpg

Let’s talk Lancome! I’ve been NEEDING these two items (seriously it was unhealthy) & I’ve been pretty much putting my face against the glass for them both. I went in thinking I was getting the Lancome Color Design single eyeshadow in All That Glitters. I’ve swatched it in pretty much every store. It may not look special in the pan but it is glorious enough for me to go wild. From the texture to the complexity I fell in love! The beggest suprise was walking out with the 5 Color Lancome Color Design Palette in Mint Jolie. It has a bit of a hefty price tag but I’ve been dying over the combination of these shades. That mint, the jade liner, the whole combination is heavenly. I’m just dying.

 photo DSCN6887_zpse952e746.jpg

So I got a whole lot of nail polish recently. I know. I get I really didn’t need more…but there are some in here I’ve been dying for or that I managed to find at a discount!

 photo DSCN6900_zps8a712f3b.jpg

So this is Nails Inc Feathers Nail Polish in Brighton. I’ve been wanting this so hard but just never managed to pull the trigger. Ryan grabbed it up & bought it so I’m really excited! How adorable is the packaging on this???

 photo DSCN6896_zps8ee74a8b.jpg

This was a rarity I went nuts about but couldn’t manage to get my hand on Pantone Jewel Lacquer in Parachute Purple. This is a close-ish dupe of the oh so popular polish Scrangie & I can’t believe I found it in Sephora. Real life freak out, I’m surprised they let me buy it & didn’t sick security on me.

The next polishes we got at Sallys, TJ Maxx, Walmart, our military BX, Walgreens, or CVS. I’ll just throw down names & you guys can let me know what you want to see most! Deal?

Wowie! This was a big post guys! I also picked up some new hair color to start this year right & I’m in such a happy place. We’ve rid our lives of a lot of negativity & drama so I’m just feeling great! Turning 24 was actually pretty fabulous! So do let me know what you’re interested in seeing on the blog sooner rather than later! I also have some polishes from Jesse’s Girl, more Hard Candy, Covergirl (blog first!), & some new Revlons! I’ve also picked up some random awesome polishes to sprinkle along the way!

My LA IMATS 2013 Haul including OCC, BFTE, Naked, & More!

February 11, 2013 By StephanieLouise 548Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F02%2Fmy-la-imats-2013-haul-including-occ.htmlMy+LA+IMATS+2013+Haul+including+OCC%2C+BFTE%2C+Naked%2C+%26+More%212013-02-11+16%3A52%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F02%2Fmy-la-imats-2013-haul-including-occ-bfte-naked-more.html

 photo DSCN2922_zps5d4b465f.jpg

I came home to a bit of a working mess & passed on doing my haul. When a subscriber asked to see it though, I was more than happy to oblige. I don’t feel like I got tons of stuff but I’m really happy with what I did get! From eyeshadow palettes to lippies to tools I got some seriously cool stuff!

 photo DSCN2918_zps0628450f.jpg

I’m not going to go too much into each product because…there are a lot! Plus, I’m not ready to officially review them. If you want to see reviews on anything you see here (or anything on the blog really!) then just let me know in the comments!

 photo DSCN2956_zpsc24ce5b6.jpg

So, obviously, I’m a bit Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar fan. I’ve swatched multiple OCC Lip Tars & was desperate for more. Unfortunately, they were out of 2 of the shades I wanted most (Black Dahlia & Bella Donna) but I still picked up 3 gorgeous shades. I actually regret not getting more. I got Anime, Harlot, & Queen.

 photo DSCN2954_zps8edecfd7.jpg

At the LA Colors booth you could choose shades at a discount out of a bin. My mom & I each picked 5 because they were 10 for $10. I picked up 2 glitters & 3 neon type shades. I actually am super impressed with the quality.

 photo DSCN2924_zps8b0068e8.jpg
 photo DSCN2929_zps4315fe72.jpg

I picked up 3 cheap makeup brushes from from Crown Brush. One is a very small crease/blending type brush, in the middle is a super small fan brush, & then a very dense short wide brush. It it also very small. I was going for small clearly. I’m pondering a set from Sigma but never made it to their booth somehow. Mom & I each picked up their sponge as well because they were something like 2 for $8. I’ll be comparing it to my holy grail Beauty Blender.

 photo DSCN2948_zps9f0a0150.jpg

BFTE eyeshadows were definitely  an exciting time for me because my great blogging friend Phyrra was workign their booth. I opted for these 6 shades (which I’ll be reviewing later on) & then got them home & was instantly mad at myself. Gee Stephanie…way to pick out variety! Not a warm or highlight shade in the dang bunch!

 photo DSCN2957_zps4d291f12.jpg

I’ve heard only the best things about Red Cherry Lashes so when I saw a deal (12 for $20) I was in. I’ll be using them in multiple upcoming looks. They had a wonderful variety but I definitely stuck with more wearable options. I’m so boring right?

 photo DSCN2953_zps8dcac72a.jpg

This is my freebie of the day! We got a piece of paper offering a free item of a certain price range. I opted for a lipstick. This is from Make-up Designory & it is alright. It has kind of a plastic-y scent. I haven’t worn it yet, just a quick swatch. I was going to buy more but a lot of the people working that booth seemed grumpy so we moved along.

 photo DSCN2941_zpsafe5e98a.jpg

 photo DSCN2943_zpsb3810b8f.jpg

I also picked up the 28 Neutral colored palette which has a lot more light shades than most palettes & much less dark. I honestly wish there were more dark shades because the shimmering chocolate brown shade (upper right corner) is my hands down favorite. Nice matte options here too.

 photo DSCN2938_zps27de46ea.jpg

The Jenni Rivera Palette was an awesome find & I used it quite a few times during my trip. I love the blushes & eyeshadows as well. Some gorgeous shimmers there. That green? Yeah baby!

 photo DSCN2935_zps0fac790f.jpg
 photo DSCN2936_zps53fb2b5e.jpg

The Day & Night palette has kind of a lame name, in my opinion, but it is absolutely lovely. With some pastels, neutrals,& brights it is super easy to use.

I was pretty bummed Coastal Scents wasn’t there this year but I am a big fan of BH Cosmetics & was really interested in seeing a few particular things in person. Unfortunately, they were sold out of their blush palette. Damn. My other interest was the BH Party Girl Palette…but I actually found 2 other palettes I preferred. Funny how seeing things in person will change your mind!

 photo DSCN2932_zps577161fb.jpg
 photo DSCN2933_zpsafac9ecb.jpg

Here was my very FIRST purchase! I absolutely loved the Sauce Box items I bought last year & the Creme de la Creme palette was on my list. Just in case it sold out, I veered there first. Lovely packaging & wearable colors. You got a free mascara with purchase.

 photo DSCN2925_zpsbb6758ac.jpg
 photo DSCN2926_zps20e6f089.jpg

I saved the purchase I was anticipating the most for last, 2 Naked stacks. I’ll be buying more & passed on some I’ll be saving up for. I ended up getting both Twilight & Urban Rustic…they’re ridiculously impressive & gorgeous.

So there you have it! That’s what I got at IMATS 2013! Anything you want to see in a future tutorial or review? Any recommendations?

OFRA 3D Loose Shadow in Diamond Glitz + My December 2012 BB5 Box

January 8, 2013 By StephanieLouise 575Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fofra-3d-loose-shadow-in-diamond-glitz.htmlOFRA+3D+Loose+Shadow+in+Diamond+Glitz+%2B+My+December+2012+BB5+Box2013-01-08+00%3A04%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fofra-3d-loose-shadow-in-diamond-glitz-my-december-2012-bb5-box.html

Photobucket

So for some reason I got my Beauty Box 5 Box really late this month & because it is decently into January I decided to combine it with an eyeshadow look in case you have seen lots of these. Trying to keep things entertaining! This box was ah-ma-zing & absolutely worth the wait!

Photobucket

What I got in my December 2012 Beauty Box 5 Box:

Photobucket

Jean Pierre Cosmetics Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Pads (Full Size): These are $1.99 for 16 pads which is a great deal. I haven’t used these yet but they look like they will be great for travel!

Photobucket
Photobucket

Everyday Minerals Flat Top Kabuki Brush (Full Size): Absolutely amazing. I love Everyday Minerals & I never get tired of them popping up in my BB5 boxes. This brush retails for $12.99 & is worth every penny! I used it to apply my Maybelline Dream Lumi Foundation here & amazing coverage! It isn’t too dense or too much like a stippling brush…this is the perfect in between!

Photobucket

MaskerAide Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask (Full Size): At $4.99 this is a reasonably priced one-time mask & has about the cutest packaging ever. With the beer can curls (yes!) to the pink boa…this image is full of awesome! I like that this is called “Party Prep” which can be used before going out. I haven’t seen anything like that specifically!

Photobucket

OFRA Cosmetics 3D Eyeshadow in Diamond Glitz (Full Size): Whaaat! Hello gorgeous! First of all, 4 grams of products…that’s a lot! For $19.90 I’m willing to dish out the cash. For reference, Bare Minerals loose shadows contain .57 grams of product. Now this color is absolutely gorgeous & is a brown/green duochrome. Love. This is one of my favorite combos ever & pictures really can’t do it justice. Perfection.

Photobucket

Demeter Roll On Perfume Oil in Cherry Blossom (Full Size): Let me just say I would have never ever even picked this shade up. I very rarely go for Asian scents they just don’t appeal to me. I would have been missing out! This has the cleanest, juciest scent & although it is definitely a delicate floral the fruit shines through on my body chemistry & smells amazing! Um, I now need a full size. This rollerball is only $10.00 & I can see it lasting a very long time!

Photobucket
Photobucket

So for this eyeshadow look I used Too Faced Show Insurance, Covergirl Lashblast 24 Hour in Black, Jordana FabuLiner in Black, Milani Liquid Eye Pencil in Black, & of course OFRA Cosmetics 3D Eyeshadow in Diamond Glitz.Swoon swoon swoon!

Beauty Box 5 is a monthly beauty subscription service & man did it impress me! Check it out & snag your own! I can’t get over this eyeshadow, seriously, swoon.

**BB5 sends me their subscription monthly in hope of review. This in no way guarantees a review or a positive opinion. Affiliate links have been used.

Birchbox for December 2012 featuring Model Co

December 16, 2012 By StephanieLouise 609Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fbirchbox-for-december-2012-featuring.htmlBirchbox+for+December+2012+featuring+Model+Co2012-12-16+20%3A28%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fbirchbox-for-december-2012-featuring-model-co.html

Photobucket

This is my December Birchbox! I received a product that I actually got in my Beauty Box 5 box last month which is the Model Co gloss. Everything else is new to me though!Just click on the photos below to enlarge them!
Photobucket

Photobucket
Photobucket

This box was just okay. I’m not unhappy but I’m also not blown away.I was really excited to get the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream because apparently I’m a big time BB Cream fan. I’m been wearing this today & it has a nice finish. I don’t have enough to do a full review though, sorry. The Keratase Thermique packets aren’t getting used anytime soon…I just have loads of haircare to get through. This lipgloss isn’t my favorite but it is a pretty shade, a sheer berry. I am counting the lotion packet with the lotion sample. This is a good sized sample but the lotion is just okay. The scent just isn’t for me. I don’t usually go for energizing scents, more sultry or floral.
I just want to say that I consider the InStyle card a throwaway. I’m not into Rent the Runway type services. I’d rather just buy something I can keep. I don’t feel like it adds any value to the box either.
So that’s what I got! Not awful, not great. I count this box as being $5 & with the full sized gloss & decent size of the lotion I’m pleased. Why do I consider a $10 to be only $5? Because for every product you get in your & review, you get points. 10 per product. Then you can use them to purchase items in their store which I really like! They often have exclusive colors or products.
What do you think of this Birchbox? Are you subscribed? Any other boxes you like?
**I purchase Birchbox with my own funds. Affiliate links have been used. All opinions are my own.

Beauty Box 5 for November 2012

December 5, 2012 By StephanieLouise 627Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fbeauty-box-5-for-november-2012.htmlBeauty+Box+5+for+November+20122012-12-05+20%3A20%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fbeauty-box-5-for-november-2012.html

Photobucket

So sorry about the lateness! Beauty Box 5 arrived a week ago but I didn’t have a card to go with it. I did get one sent to me through e-mail & have tried everything in my box so I am now ready to share! For those who don’t know, Beauty Box 5 is a monthly beauty based subscription box. For price breakdowns, check out Beauty Box 5‘s website because you can snag some sweet deals.

Photobucket

Again, this box had a nice mix of products including some full-sized products.

Swagger Eyeshadow: I didn’t know where this eyeshadow was from (clearly) & now I know it is from Swagger. It doesn’t have a shade or label on it so I have no idea what shade it is. What I DO know is that it is very pretty! This shimmery taupe is a nice addition to my collection & had nice pigmentation. I might even check out some more from the brand.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion: Like I said in the video, I had never tried this before! I full admit to being SICK sick sick & I can’t smell anything so I have no idea about the scent. It honestly didn’t blow me away but it is kind of hard to tell from a sample size. It seems like it would be good for normal skin types.

Envie De Nuef Eye Mask: These are wonderfully saturated! Really great when your under eye area needs a little TLC.

Model Co Lip Shine in Tease: This is a nice sheer pink with a bit of shimmer to it, basically something I would use atop a lipstick. It comes out of the tube a bit stringy almost thick? But it applies super moisturizing & lovely. Not sticky at all. I know some people had something to say about the scent of these…but I’m sick. Sorry guy. I’ve got nothing.

Global Goddess Upgrade Complexion Face Primer: This is the only foil packet (I don’t count the Eye Masks because those are pretty much full sized) & you get 2 of them. I tried one & it felt just okay, kind of in the middle of thick & thin. Even being sick I could detect a slight scent that kind of reminded me of hair products.

Photobucket

Of course, I love that this box was mostly makeup, always a plus for me!Have you ever gotten a Beauty Box 5 Box? What do you think of what I got this month?

ULTA Door Busters Haul from Black Friday!

November 26, 2012 By StephanieLouise 643Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fulta-door-busters-from-black-friday.htmlULTA+Door+Busters+Haul+from+Black+Friday%212012-11-26+17%3A08%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fulta-door-busters-haul-from-black-friday.html

Photobucket

So when I looked at all of the Black Friday deals the Tarte ULTA door buster definitely caught my eye. I also picked up 2 other door busters. How you ask? I was first in line at the newest local ULTA. I had a plan. I even involved my husband…you can bet he was thrilled!

Photobucket
Photobucket

Tarte Balanced & Beautiful Set
This set was only $22! How crazy is that! Everything was full sized too! I finally got a full sized Tarte Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush in Flush! I LOVE this shade! Gorgeous right? This also contained a full size Amazonian Clay Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow in Slate & a full size Bamboo Cream Eyeshadow Brush. I’d never tried their waterproof creams & I’m glad I got a sample. It looks too sheer to use on its own but maybe it will make a nice base? The brush is fab! This set is worth $59.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

LORAC Sweet Luxuries Eyeshadow Palette
For only $12, you get a perfect little neutral palette containing 5 LORAC shades. These are good sized too! You can see there are 2 shimmery shades & 3 that are nearly matte. There is a little bit of sparkle but it goes away once applied. These are my first LORAC shadows & I am very impressed! This palette is worth $79.

Photobucket

Urban Decay Travel Duo
I picked this little duo up for only $9 in anticipation of IMATS 2013. This duo contains Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray ( 0.51 oz ) & Urban Decay Complexion Primer Potion Makeup Base ( 0.46 oz ). I love the Skindinavia setting spray & because Urban Decay uses the same(ish) formula, I thought I could use this bottle when I travel instead of bringing my giant one. I haven’t tried the face primer yet but I have high hopes!

So that is everything! I think I snagged some seriously great deals! What did you get on Black Friday? Are you shopping Cyber Monday?

NEW Pure Ice Nail Polish Bottle Shots (16 of them, PIC HEAVY!)

November 7, 2012 By StephanieLouise 662Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fnew-pure-ice-nail-polish-bottle-shots.htmlNEW+Pure+Ice+Nail+Polish+Bottle+Shots+%2816+of+them%2C+PIC+HEAVY%21%292012-11-07+13%3A50%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fnew-pure-ice-nail-polish-bottle-shots-16-of-them-pic-heavy.html

Photobucket

While I may not have gotten every single new Pure Ice nail polish…I did get quite a few! I tried to grab shades that looks really original & unlike things I already own. The majority are clearly glitters (it IS me!) but I think they are going to be amazing for layering, especially with jellies. Many of these have diamond shaped glitter which I totally love! For only $1.99, these are a total steal. Enough chit chat, let’s do this!

NOTE: One of these polishes didn’t get a shot taken of it ๐Ÿ™ It is called Royal Flush & it is similar to Temptress. You can see it in the first photo! It has a lot more shimmer. Also similar to Are Mermaids Real? from Sinful Colors but more pigmented & darker.

Photobucket
Stop Flirtin: A light blue small hex glitter with larger silver hex glitter in a clear base.
Photobucket

Meet Me in Monaco: A sheer black base with light peach & faded orange hexes ranging from small to medium.

Photobucket

After Hours: An indigo & bright blue small hex glitter with larger silver hex glitters in a clear base.

Photobucket

Cha-Ching: A hot pink shimmer which can be used as a top coat or on its own.

Photobucket

Tinsel Town: Bright blue tiny hex glitter with light blue & silver holographic diamonds in a clear base.

Photobucket

Alter Ego: A shimmering metallic chocolate brown with gray glass flecks.

Photobucket
Get on Top: Mini light blue hex glitter with medium silver hex glitter in a clear base.

Photobucket

Material Girl: Mini soft pink hex glitter with light pink & silver holo diamonds in a clear base.

Photobucket

Hot-Rocks: Silver scattered shimmer with small silver hex glitters & silver holo diamonds in a clear base.

Photobucket

Sea-Quin: Light lime green/chartreuse green mini glitter with light green holo diamonds in a clear base.

Photobucket

Call Me!: Orange mini hex glitter with medium silver hex glitter in a clear base.

Photobucket

Vegas Strip: A light green with a bit of lime flash composed of shimmer. Can be worn on its own or as a top coat.

Photobucket

Turn It Up: A perfect medium green mini hex glitter with medium silver hex glitter in a clear base.

Photobucket

Temptress: A very dusty purple with an antique gold shimmer.

Photobucket

Treasure Hunt: A light seafoam green mini hex glitter with lavender & pale turquoise holo diamond glitter in a clear base.

Mine were somewhat picked over, but I think I got a lot of winners here! I found them on their own display at Walmart & like I said, only $1.99 each. I am SO impressed & I can’t wait to show you swatches! Any you want to see first? Any shades especially catch your eye?

Holiday/Winter Nail Polish Haul/Shots from Sally’s including China Glaze Winter 2012 & Color Club Winter Affair 2012

November 2, 2012 By StephanieLouise 665Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fholidaywinter-nail-polish-haulshots.htmlHoliday%2FWinter+Nail+Polish+Haul%2FShots+from+Sally%27s+including+China+Glaze+Winter+2012+%26+Color+Club+Winter+Affair+20122012-11-02+17%3A32%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F11%2Fholidaywinter-nail-polish-haulshots-from-sallys-including-china-glaze-winter-2012-color-club-winter-affair-2012.html

Photobucket

For nail bloggers, November ‘Tis the Season. Last night, I stopped by my Sally’s  anticipating being able to pick up almost all of the China Glaze Winter 2012 polishes…but apparently they put them out super early. Boo. They didn’t even have the gift sets I went in expecting to arrive available. Rude! Still, I managed to nab the 2 glitters I wanted (although I had to buy one in a set & she had to dig in the back for the other…they didn’t even have any singles available!) so that is what really matters right? Glitter? Indeed.

I also managed to snag the Color Club mini set of holiday shades labeled Winter Affair 2012. I’m happy to get these in smaller sizes because I don’t think they are super original color-wise but they ARE all scented except for the flakie! Yes, the flakie is a dupe for MANY of the other flakies I already own. Do I own too many? Don’t care. So shiny. Don’t judge me.

To see the bottle shots from the China Glaze official press release I posted, just click here. These aren’t the most color accurate but neither are mine. I just wanted to get them up ASAP! I’ll do accurate & pretty swatches soon.

Fairy Dust
I wanted to add that I also picked up China Glaze’s Fairy Dust. I know I own(ed?) this but somehow it disappeared. Likely I loaned it out & it got jacked. I picked up a new bottle because it is perfect for the holidays & makes any shade holo-rific. This is part of the core collection of shades.

Now the Color Club Winter Affair mini set I picked up. I never have Color Club at my Sally’s so I was happy to pop in & snatch up the last set. I pretty much have nowhere to buy Color Club (except that freak time I found a bunch of them at my Walgreens for only 99 cents each!) so I hope they are branching out?

Gift of Sparkle

Let’s talk about Gift of Sparkle for a moment. Apparently, there are at least 2 versions of this floating around. I have been told THIS is the original…then they reformulated it & it is a purple glitter. It is confusing & silly right…next time Color Club…just change the name?

Photobucket

Ho-Ho-Holly

I did a quick swatch of each of the scented shades & decided on scents spur of the moment. Berry and Bright smells like berries to me…as expected. Gift of Sparkle (the blue that has all kins of name issues) smells kind of like vanilla & baking? Ho-Ho-Holly smells like men’s cologne so I imagine they tried to make it smell like trees? Either way, I approve of scented polishes in general. I figure if you don’t like them & prefer nail polish scent you can slap on a top coat.

So there is my haulage, not bad right? I know I’ll be doing some comparison posts soon but if you see any in particular you want to see just give me a shout & I’ll do my best to help you out! Which shades are you lusting after?

EOS Alice in Wonderland Trio Review + Secret Packaging!

September 10, 2012 By StephanieLouise 7211 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F09%2Feos-alice-in-wonderland-trio-review.htmlEOS+Alice+in+Wonderland+Trio+Review+%2B+Secret+Packaging%212012-09-10+00%3A12%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F09%2Feos-alice-in-wonderland-trio-review-secret-packaging.html

So if you saw my post yesterday about the release of the Alice in Wonderland EOS trio, then you know I went on a mission. I HAD to have them. So I went on a mission! I got loads of hits on the post from yesterday so I know I wasn’t the only one! If you missed that post, I also got information from my contact at EOS & they explained why out of all the Disney characters they went with Alice.

So here’s the display at Target:

& here it is at home!!!! This is definitely adorable packaging! I had some comments on my press release about how these didn’t look very “Alice” & instead looks more Disney. I think I said this in my post, but I am really hoping the reason for that is maybe more Disney collaborations in the future! I personally like the Mickey Mouse ears, but maybe they will do some more snazzy packaging in the future? My husband uses these too (usually the sweet mint or lemon!) so he probably appreciates the lack of girly additions.

So here’s my take on this trio! I love it, go figure. The Sweet Vanilla Nonsense is actually (surprisingly!!!) my favorite! It smells like vanilla sugar, so yummy & warm without being overpowering. The Watermelon Wonderland was the one I was most looking forward to & although I like it, it is very subtle. It won’t be a too sweet smelling at all. The Blueberry Potion is actually wonderful. Normally I dislike blueberry scented items because they tend to smell bitter but this smell wonderful. These all taste good as well…not that I suggest eating them.

Here’s Blueberry Potion next to my Passionfruit one! Love those ears!

The hidden picture is shown below, & I plan to cut it out & add it to my “this-n-that” board. It is SO cute & fabulous & ALICE. I also LOVE the little Alice in Wonderland details on the packaging.

So there it is! Everything! I’ve switched off wearing all of them since last night to make sure there was nothing “off” & personally love all 3! I picked this up at Target, but if you want to know when it will hit other stores check out the link at the top for my Q & A with EOS & the PR info! PLEASE let me know if you love these as much as I do! I sure hope they release more with Disney…hopefully with SPF!

MyGlam Bag for July 2012 featuring Josie Maran, Kiehl’s, & More!

July 20, 2012 By StephanieLouise 763Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F07%2Fmyglam-bag-for-july-2012-featuring.htmlMyGlam+Bag+for+July+2012+featuring+Josie+Maran%2C+Kiehl%27s%2C+%26+More%212012-07-20+14%3A29%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F07%2Fmyglam-bag-for-july-2012-featuring-josie-maran-kiehls-more.html

You haven’t heard this very many times on my blog, but this month’s MyGlam bag blew me away. It was EXCELLENT. I will use every single item in my bag…even the bag! I actually loved everything in this bag & thought it was really well-rounded. Interested in learning more? Read on!

There was also a coupon from NuMe which you can see in the video. You can see the ‘or’ products here but I would have been happy with any of them really.

1. Josie Maran Magic Marker Lip & Cheek Stain in Tango.
2. Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes (10 of them)
3. NuMe Hydro Punch Hydrating Conditioner (0.67oz)
4. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion for normal to oily skin types (Pretty much unscented which I like!)
5. Circus by Andrea’s Choice Nail Polish in Reverso

The Josie Maran Magic Marker Lip & Cheek Stain in Tango is a gorgeous watermelon pink when swatched but looks a bit more raspberry after a 2nd coat. These markers are fabulous on the lips, an easy stain with no runny excess or bitterness. Like I showed in the video, these do best when stored pointing down. This also dries very quickly! I’m not a fan of markers as a cheek stain normally though because they dry so fast & are too exact.

I think this was definitely the most surprising item! I had no idea Andrea of Andrea’s Choice was coming out with a nail polish. I received the only non-color polish unfortunately which is Reverso, a white. I used it to dot very quickly & its quite opaque! I have this fabulous feeling that this might be a one coat white!

I pictured it next to an OPI for reference just to show bottle size & all that excess glass. Although it gives it a very heavy feel & kind of a crystal look, I do wish there was more polish in it instead! Less polish in this than OPI. I’ll be interested to see other swatches of brighter shades!
