Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight Fragrance for Spring 2014 is Delightful!
Marc Jacobs is one of those brands I happen to collect fragrances from. Something about the notes works really well with my body chemistry which is key when you’re picking your own personal scents. Keep reading to see why Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight is fabulous for spring!
From Sephora:
Daisy Marc Jacobs Delight editions bloom with breezy, fun florals splashed in effervescent colors. Taking inspiration from the elegant feminine allure of Daisy classic, the new limited editions turn up the brightness with irresistibly vibrant hues.
A luminous bouquet, bursting with fresh-picked florals, Daisy Delight edition is a vibrant expression of Daisy signature. The fragrance blooms into a vibrant burst of quince flower and iris, brightened with crisp red apple. Sun-ripened woods and musks dry town to a warm, sensual embrace.
Notes:
Apple, Quince Flower, Feesia, Iris, Gardenia, Peony, Musks, Cedarwood, Sandalwood.
Style:
Playful. Surprising. Delightfully Fun.
First of all- I love the original Marc Jacobs Daisy & Daisy Eau So Fresh both anyway. I am always drawn to both the Daisy & Daisy Eau So Fresh from Marc Jacobs each year for limited edition scents since they draw from the original fragrances. Last year I bought the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine which I reviewed & was one of my favorite fragrances of the year. When hubby & I smelled both versions this year we both agreed we preferred the Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight over the Daisy Delight Eau So Fresh. The Delight seems to be a bit more sensual spring with woods & apples along with bright notes while the other seemed to have less levels & dimension. Please keep in mind that fragrances don’t smell the same on everyone so what I love about this perfume might be more of a backstory on your own skin!
This is a smaller bottle size than the Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight Eau So Fresh which is 2.5 fl oz. for $89 while the Delight is 1.7 fl oz & $75. Although pricer per ounce the Delight also lasted significantly longer on my skin personally which is always something I consider.
You can purchase the Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight fragrance for $75 from Sephora, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, & wherever you can scoop up Marc Jacobs limited edition fragrances near you.
Demeter Fragrances for Spring 2014: Wet Garden, Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Rain, Honeysuckle, & Sunflower
I actually had something else planned for today but I woke up to a surprise- sunshine. Beautiful streams of light for this first time all week! It has been so dreary here & I haven’t been feeling the spring love until now! To celebrate I want to share with you some new to me & old favorites from the Demeter Fragrance Library that are indescribably (although I do try!) SPRING. Ready to catch spring fever? Just keep reading!
Demeter Pick-Me-Up Cologne Spray in Wet Garden-
This is surprisingly one of my favorite Demeter scents EVER now! I love rainy days as much as sunshine but here in Nebraska it is just so dreary. We miss all the good storms, most of the rain, & are left with yucky looking skylines. This scent makes me instantly calm & happy at the same time. If florals are overpowering to you- check this out! If you love rainy days & want to smell the rain outdoors on your own skin- this is definitely for you! This encompasses a great day of gardening & watering with notes of green, dirt, & florals perfectly combined. Learn more here.
Demeter Pick-Me-Up Cologne Spray in Jasmine-
I can’t believe I didn’t have a single of this scent since my skin pulls Jasmine out of pretty much every perfume containing it. Just the way my chemistry works! I love the Jasmine in Moonbeam (review here!) which I wore SO much last year. I’m excited to have a spray-on version of jasmine since I normally have to use an oil which can be messy. Jasmine smells so exotic & sensual that having the scent on its own is awesome! Check it out here.
Demeter Pick-Me-Up Cologne Spray in Orange Blossom-
This was such a nice surprise! I actually got this scent because Ryan loves citrus scents but to me they’re usually just alright. I was hoping this would be a mix between a citrus & a floral & it is! The scent itself smells warm (like actual sunshine!) & really expensive flowers. I must have a sensory experience attached because I think back to a certain hotel lobby that must have had these blooms! It is immediately calming & takes me to a place of expensive relaxation. Buy it here.
Demeter Pick-Me-Up Cologne Spray in Rain-
The scent of rain is actually a funny mix not of what comes from the sky but more when it hits the ground! I love the smell of rain on grass/dirt areas- it transports me back to when I was a kid & we’d try to stay outside during recess while frantic teachers tried to reign us in. This is a more subtle, clean scent but has nicer lasting power than expected. Now I definitely need to try Demeter’s version of Thunderstorm since I hope it pulls memories of my years in Arizona & Vegas with monsoon season. Check it out here.
Demeter Pick-Me-Up Cologne Spray in Honeysuckle-
This is a guilty pleasure scent for me because my husband has never liked honeysuckle in anything! I try to sneak it in when I can- burning the wax melts in my office, using the candles while he isn’t home, & finally now taking a whip straight from the source! It just smells so incredibly sunny & happy- & like pure honeysuckle goodness. Check it out here.
Demeter Naturals 100% Natural eau de Toilette in Sunflower-
So this is my first ever fragrance form the Demeter Naturals line & I definitely need to pick up some more! From Demeter- Demeter Naturals is the first collection of 100% Natural fragrances at prices anyone can afford, with products between $8.00 and $29.00. Sunflower is kind of a funny scent for me because I always had some kind of idea of what they smelled like from random bouquets but I’ve never had it in a singular scent. The scent itself is actually wonderfully warm & not overly floral at all! This line contains 100% all Natural essential oils, alcohol naturally fermented from corn, distilled water, no artificial color & no phthalates. Buy it here.
Fragrances are one of my favorite excruciatingly easy ways to transition seasons & I think you’ll likely find more than one perfect match from Demeter. Whether you want something clean & soft like Rain or something a bit more floral & sultry like Jasmine you’ll likely find a scent you don’t want to put down. I’m already scoping out some new scents for summer & my eye is on Swimming Pool, Beeswax, & White Sangria! You can see all of the scents on the Demeter website here.
What scents appeal to you most when you transition into springtime? What is your favorite Demeter scent or the one you’d most like to try?

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Art & Review
Let’s talk about one of my Top 5 Fragrances of 2013 shall we? Yes, we must. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb is definitely a masterpiece unlike anything else in my collection. Beautiful, sophisticated, & very elegant. Keep reading to find out more!
From Sephora- This floral explosion releases a profusion of flowers that has the power to make everything seem more positive. Magically evocative notes immediately awaken your deepest senses, giving you the impression of living life in your own secret garden, away from reality. Sambac jasmine, centifolia rose, cattleya orchid, and ballerina freesia bloom on a base of patchouli.
Let me start out with this is a luxe fragrance- one rollerball of Flowerbomb costs $29 which is close to many full sized fragrances. I waited & waited to use points & percentages off & honestly, it was worth every penny on sale or full-priced. I am SO happy & confident when I am wearing this! I even bought this full set from Sephora here specifically for the rollerball which I’m traveling with. Not only is one of the main notes jasmine (probably my favorite scent ever!) but it lasts all day on me starting more vibrant & then drying down to more woodsy. I get compliments pretty much every time I wear it. Plus it instantly lifts my spirits!
Want to see the other favorite fragrances of 2013? Check out that post here! Have you tried Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb? What are your fragrance favorites?

Mia Mariu Magia website says: “enchanting, flirty, sensual…deliciously unforgettable”
This deliciously flirtatious fragrance invigorates the senses, creates a mood and sets the scene for unforgettable fun, romance and pleasure. With a medley of juicy strawberry, mandarin, peach and pear that play sweetly atop dewy blooms of jasmine, plum, magnolia and flirty frangipani; makes the perfect playmate and ideal soul mate for smooth and sensual base notes of rich vanilla, musk, tonka bean and warm and enchanting golden amber.
The packaging is clean & simple, the bottle made of glass & the top made of clear plastic. It has a spray nozzle which distributes an even amount of scent. I love the notes of strawberry, madarin, peach, & pear you get on the top. Fruity & fabulous! My skin naturally pulls jasmine so it was more noticeable on my own skin than in the bottle. There is also a warm undercurrent of vanilla & woods which adds more depth. A great daytime scent. I don’t find it lasts a super long time but reapplying is a breeze since it is fresh & not too intense.
Because Mia Mariu knows not every fragrance is right for every person, the winner of this giveaway will have the option to choose from Mia Mariu Magia for women, Acqua for men, & Caoba for men. Acqua is described as clean & masqueline while Caoba is more rugged & confident. Check out all three fragrances & their descriptions on the Mia Mariu website here. You can also follow them on twitter here & like them on facebook.
