After reviewing the Gorgeous Cosmetics Seasonal Quad (see it here!) I knew I was pretty in love with the formula. Today I’m chatting about the 8-Pan Fashion Palette which is comprised of shades you can also buy in singles. For me personally, I’d describe the overall tone as wearable with richly pigmented bonuses. & one shade in here- oh baby. Keep reading to see all my thoughts & an eye look I keep repeating for date night!

This is one of those palettes that touches both warm & cool- which I so appreciate. I feel like the composition really makes sense! Normally I’d say that pretty coral shade doesn’t fit at all but after using it a few times I think it blends in with my warmer looks beautifully. I did notice their shade descriptions online to be a bit different than what I experienced in real life…so please do take not below! I have their description italicized with my description following for reference.
Rhubarb – (Warm rose with sheer glow) A warm, muted bright coral with golden shimmer. The texture is a bit stiff in a good way because the color payoff is awesome.
Hedgehog – (Warm chocolate brown with a sheen) A metallic muted cocoa brown with nice pigmentation.
Submarine – (Cool matte gray) A satin matte cool gray with a bit less pigmentation but buildable.
Violet Satin – (Deep purple with bronze sheen) A gorgeous brown-based plum shade with violet/cranberry metallic shimmer. Not ultra pigmented but builds beautifully.
Natural – (Sheen finish cream) A sheer satin cream with white micro sparkle.
Ivory Light – (Shimmering sheer white) A metallic pearl white that builds well- especially in the inner corner.
Khaki Gold – (Deep green with gold shimmer) A stunninnng blackened khaki green packed with golden olive micro shimmer. Stiff but very smoky & builds wonderfully.
DMC Black – (Rich Black with a sparkle) A dark charcoal with silver micro shimmer. Stiff & not as pigmented- but really pigmented as a deepening shade & when built up.
Swatches left to right on bare skin with a clean fingertip-
Top row: Rhubarb, Hedgehog, Natural, Ivory Light.
Bottom row: Submarine, Violet Satin, Khaki Gold, DMC Black.
Because this palette doesn’t have any true mattes…I did need to work in a few from my Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette (see my full review here) just so I could lay down some base. I used a creamy neutral (specifically Urban Decay Commando) over my eyeshadow primer just for a neutral starting point. Then I worked in Urban Decay Instinct & Lethal into my crease to give it some definition & let me see where my “stop” point would be. I really find this helpful with a smoky look as I tend to go MORE is MORE.
Now let us officially dig into the Gorgeous Cosmetics Fashion Palette officially. On the outer 1/4 of my eye I worked in DMC Black with a small crease brush & brought it in a bit straight through the crease for depth. On my lid I had to use Violet Satin. I had a nice layer down but really needed to use my finger to pat the color in for the pigmentation & pop I was looking for. I took Ivory Light in my inner corner & blended profusely under my browbone so it wasn’t too strong. I love the Ivory Light so I went a bit heavy on my inner corner both above & below. I added my black liner to my lower lashline lightly about 1/3 of the way out. I then topped it with a big of diffused DMC Black on the outside & Violet Satin from the middle to almost the corner.
