I really have to be in the mood to freehand stripes. More abstract is usually my style & stripes are just so….specific. I completely fell in love with the Zoya Charming Collection (full swatches & review here!) & the shades I pulled from it give me ice cream vibes. I also did something I’ve never done before to create them which gave me a DUH moment. Keep reading for all the details!
I reviewed the entire Zoya Charming Collection (Spring 2017) here on my site but I’ve listed the shades used here below!
Zoya Nail Polish in Jordan– a soft pastel pink.
Zoya Nail Polish in Abby– a soft pastel lavender.
Zoya Nail Polish in Lacey– a softly muted minty green packed with lots of micro sparkle for a glowy finish.
Zoya Nail Polish in Amira– a softly muted sky blue packed with lots of micro sparkle for a glowy finish.
The white is an opaque unmarked nail art shade I’ve had for ages!
I would normally do a dry water marble here. But this time I used my little art cup to set up a watermarble then just didn’t mix or swirl. I let it dry on top of the water then removes with tweezers & let dry so there wasn’t any excess water. Boom. Decals! If you are interested in some tutorials for how to do this- please let me know. Normally I send you off to other blog posts but if you’re truly interested in my technique & tips I’ll figure out how to make it a clear directional post!
What do you think of these stripes? Are you still rocking pastels? Any colors jump out at you?
