Have you noticed it has been awhile since I showed an Ipsy bag? I kept thinking to myself Why would I bother reviewing these if I keep thinking I’m going to cancel? In retrospect… I probably should have kept showing you guys what I was getting since I’ve stayed subscribed. Getting back into the swing of things & being excited about mail…well now is the perfect time to start sharing again! This month I was really happy with my Ipsy bag so I’m actually pretty pumped to share it with you!
Inside my May 2015 Ipsy Subscription Bag:
Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray– The BEST things I’ve gotten in an Ipsy subscription to date I think. A full-size of a product I was already planning to buy? I’ll never turn that down! I actually have & love their dry shampoo so that’s why I already trusted them with a similar product. I’m super into texturizing sprays & powders so I’m sure this will be a new favorite! It is like dry shampoo oomph & body without the residue or need for oily hair!
Jesse’s Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dust in Brown Sugar– I only have super shimmering & metallic Jesse’s Girl pigments so this was a nice surprise. It leans a bit orange so it should make my blue eyes pop.
True Organic Pharmacy Double Rose Rejuvenating Face Cream- I’m not big on receiving skincare samples that aren’t masks but rose scents are definitely a weakness. I think I’ll save this for a pampering day.
Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Color– A full-sized eyebrow pencil? I’ll take it! I need to inventory my brow stash because eventually I need to downsize for the move so this might actually move on to someone else if it isn’t a perfect color match. If I like it I’m sure you’ll see it in a look or tutorial.
Urban Decay Glide-On Lip Pencil in Ozone & Revolution Gloss Samples– I saved this for last because it was kind of hard to show in photos. Basically the pencil is a really nice size of a clear lipliner meant to help with feathering & lines. I actually own this pencil & have talked about it on the blog before & you can see my review of Ozone here. The real item I was super excited about was getting to try their new glosses & they added in a card with two shades- Failbait & Bittersweet…which happen to be the two shades I was planning to buy if I liked them next time I was in store… Coincidence? I still have them ready to try when I can feel my face again (yes, my face is STILL numb from surgery & there is NO way I’m putting gloss on it!) & I am super excited about them!
I will say the one thing I always wish Ipsy would do that my other subscriptions always have is a good card describing the products. Ipsy really touts going on their site & such but since they already include a card…I don’t see why they don’t just put the information on it to begin with? Definitely a mystery to me. Obviously I am a really big fan of this month & even the bag my items were packaged in. I feel like everything received is something I’ll really like & use which is huge when you’re basically doing a mystery grab bag every month. The Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray alone paid for this bag & has been on my list to purchase…so bonus for me & saving some cash! You can check out this affordable monthly beauty subscription here on the Ipsy website.
Are you subscribed to Ipsy or any other beauty subscription services? Any favorites? I’d love to hear if you’re a fan of any of the items or have recommendations about items I received this month too!
