So I’ve had issues with Ipsy lately…mostly with the fact that I haven’t received last months bag…still. I guess they put the wrong zip code on it & it just bounced around New Jersey (I’m in Nebraska fyi) then said it was delivered…well…not to me. I’ve had to talk to them multiple times without much luck but it finally seems to have been worked out & I actually just got an official shipping notification. For my April Bag. Finally.
With that out of the way, I’m going to try to remain calm while I tell you all about the May Ipsy Bag! I liked some of the bags I saw from others so much that I actually bought a 2nd subscription which is on its way now with a product I was planning to buy anyway. Score. Because I’ll do a 2nd post/video on that one I’ll get back to this one!
The bag this month is turquoise/orange Miami colored zig zags which doesn’t blow me away but I do like that it feels waterproof-ish. Perfect for summer. You also get an info card & a Nu-Me certificate for $110 off…even though I didn’t get anything from Nu-Me. Whateves.
Pacifica Coconut Crushed Pearl Bronzing Body Butter 2 oz : This is an excellent travel size & I adore Pacfica so I was thrilled to see it in my bag. Love their fragrances & body lotions but I’ve never tried any bronzing products from them. This didn’t really make me look darker (I would have noticed…I’m ghostly) but it did provide a nice shimmer that looks beachy. The scent is divine, love it.
Zoya Nail Polish in Jacqueline: This shade is from the Spring 2013 Zoya line called Lovely which I reviewed here. Considering these sell for $8 – $9 this pretty much pays for the bag. I’ll either give this one away or put it with my neutral bases for swatching. I loved this shade then & I still do.
Yaby Concealer in Buff: This concealer is very small but not bad for travel if you have a mini Z- Palette or something. Like I said in my video…Nice concealer but too dark. I hate filling out a profile then not getting a shade that matches. Boo.
Juice Beauty Gloss in Pink: Pretty, nicely pigmented, full sized, & the natural type scent doesn’t bother me. It is a bit gloopy so I found it hard to make it opaque so this will either be worn sheer or over lipstick. Nice packaging, reminds me of Buxum glosses.
Left to right: Yaby Concealer in Buff, Mirabella Sheer Lipstick in Bellarina, & Juice Beauty Gloss in Pink.
If all of this sounds like a great deal for only $10 a month, I agree. This bag was a great value with lots of full sized products. You can use my referral link (I’d appreciate it!) to sign up & cancel whenever you decide you don’t want it anymore. What did you think of this bag? Worth the $10 or would you pass? I’ll show you the next bag (& my Birchbox!) soon!
