Have you ever gone through a string of absolutely terrible skin days? I have had a rough skin month or two. More like two. I’ve really needed to subdue redness but I don’t always like the look of full coverage. The Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation is my answer to the redness while keeping my skin looking like…skin! Check out my full review & demo below!
“This formula helps skin achieve a natural, illuminated and bright finish— like the beautiful skin you were born with. Naked Skin is formulated with light-diffusing spheres, transforming you to look professionally retouched. Buildable coverage allows women to customize their look. Available in a meticulously calibrated range of shades, Urban Decay’s precise shade numbering system does poetic justice to both warm tones (ending in “.0”) and cool skin tones (ending in “.5”). The finish is matte, never flat, and luminous, but not shiny.”
The packaging on this foundation is actually one of my favorites. Not only is a pump foundation but it is also clear so I can see that I’m shaking it up well & how much is left. I also like that it isn’t plastic- foundations I need to shake just seem to pair better with it.
Some of my absolute favorite things about the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation is it feels weightless, has great staying power, & really does still look natural. The coverage is very blendable in areas where I might need a bit more & it doesn’t end up looking cakey. Another major plus is that there is a light enough shade for me…now it is the very lightest shade but I’ll take it! The way the line works is that numbers ending in .5 are cool toned & those ending in .0 are warm. I am more neutral but my shade is 0.5 & it is a great match.
Here is my skin without makeup, after applying the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup in 0.5, & after I apply the rest of my makeup including a bit of concealer. You can see I have a good chunk of redness & multiple spots…including some eczema developing at the corners of my mouth. UHG. You can see the foundation really evens out my skin but you can still see my signature freckles. I’ve applied this foundation a variety of ways but a buffing brush is definitely my favorite. I just picked up the Urban Decay Optical Blurring Brush which is recommended with this thin textured foundation so I’m hoping that is perfect.
Here I have Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup in 0.5 on the left & my bare skin on the right. Big difference isn’t it? I took these photos on a really rough day & perfecting my skin always makes me feel better! I love the finish, feel, & application of this shade as well. I think it is a nice match. Because my skin seems to be more combo/dry than anything else I have tried this with various primers as well & it still looks great!
You can purchase the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup from Sephora, ULTA, & the Urban Decay website.
