It has been awhile since I showed a Birchbox here because they haven’t been all that exciting. I’ve just been kind of…paying for the service. Which is awful to say but it is true. I told myself if I was going to continue being subscribed then I needed to start making blog posts about it again- because I really do like their points program. A lot. Keep reading to see if this month was some redemption!
Here’s the card included in this month’s box. It has all your basic information- you can click to enlarge!
Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo- I’ve actually received this dry shampoo before & really like it! These mini sizes are so handy when I travel too- & the packaging on this is adorable!
Dr Jart+ Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm- I really love Dr. Jart products normally but unfortunately this one isn’t for me. It is for targeting oily skin which definitely isn’t me! I’ll be passing this along to someone who might be able to enjoy it.
Supergoop Forever Young Hand Cream with Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 40- Love this! I am a big Supergoop fan in general because they tend to have great SPF- & once again I’m not disappointed! I wish more hand creams had SPF!
Nugg Beauty Soothing Mask- This is like a little pod & I actually prefer foil packets oddly enough- easier to get all the product out since it is only one use anyway. I love that this is for dry skin because usually the masks I get aren’t. It is also 94% natural.
Model Co Shimmer Bronzer- This bronzer is somewhere in the middle coloring wise but leans to being too shimmery on my fair skin. It is buildable & lightweight. I might use this as a body bronzer but ti would be hard to do at this size.
I should probably clarify a bit- Birchbox is a really great service & was my first box I ever bought myself. They replace anything damaged & have great customer service. Their points system allows you to earn points for reviews to put towards products you’d normally have to pay full price for. They even get limited edition sets & such. I think my issue here isn’t the company in general but that the sizes of many samples aren’t something I’d use without forcing myself to. I don’t consider most of them deluxe (unlike some in this month) & usually just equal to foil tiny packets which is a shame. Very rarely do I use a tiny amount of skincare because I won’t go off of that to purchase personally. Birchbox & I are definitely in a rough patch- we’ll have to see where I go from here.
Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription costing $10 a month. If you review each product monthly you also get credit money in the Birchbox shop. If you review each product each month (assuming there are 5) that equals $5 so the box itself pretty much costs $5 which is an awesome deal when compared to other boxes available! If you’re interested in joining, please subscribe using my Birchbox referral link!
