So when I asked you guys on twitter/facebook if you’d be interested in seeing some old school posts about makeup I used back in the day, you seemed genuinely interested. Good thing, because I’m a hoarder. You know on tv when they tell people “You need to get rid of this. I know it is a good memory but you have to let it go” or something like that? Well I held onto quite a few makeup products from back in the day & I’m excited to show you how I used them, what they looked like, & all that jazz. If you’re not interested in see my old makeup (as hip, & cool, & with it as I was back then) then feel free to check out any of my other hundreds of posts. I’ll be featuring products every Thursday for awhile so sit back & enjoy!
When I think back to my middle school/beginning of high school days…glitter was an obvious trend. Back when smothering your body, hair, nails, & about everything else in glitter it isn’t a surprise I jumped onto the bandwagon. More glitter in the world I say! I want to look like a fairy riding a unicorn through a glitter rainbow please! So when I show you this little gem please remember I went through two of them…. Yes.
The glitter all got a bit mixed here & there but I am surprised young me kept it as separated as it is honestly. I was always a glitter mixologist. From top left to bottom the glitters are gold, middle is a white/clear iridescent glitter which I called glitter snow, & the bottom…well we’re going to have to take a closer look at my favorite glitter below.
Obviously, this is the best part right? There are bits of the other glitter & the base is the iridescent glitter with additions of gold squares & golden stars. Apparently I did try to dip the brush (or a cheap brush) in here to apply because a few strands stuck around. This was probably my favorite glitter to put in my hair. Its a good thing I liked it so much because it was hell to remove. & leaving a glitter trail through the house probably wasn’t great for other people. I say….paint the world in sparkles! I clearly haven’t changed much.
Have you ever seen these old school Wet n Wild MegaStax? I haven’t managed to find any like these although I have seen some with a single shade inside around the holidays maybe? Or Halloween? What were your favorite glitter finds growing up? What about old school Wet n Wild products?
