So I have tried many (and I mean MANY!) dry shampoos over the years. There seems to be a new surge in this product, and I’ve really liked my Tresemme Fresh Start and my Oscar Blandi. Very impressed! But when you’re doing beauty on a budget, you can try this products with items commonly found in your own kitchen! A lot of people have used baby powder, but I find that it is more visible than the mixture below.
DIY: Dry Shampoo
– 2 Tablespoons whole almonds
– 2 Tablespoons Oats
– 1/3 Cup Cornstarch
Place the almonds and oats in a spice grinder and grind until very fine. Add cornstarch and mix well. Place in a shaker bottle or reuse your Parmesan cheese canister! Shake into your hair where you want to absorb excess oil/product buildup. Massage into roots. Brush out and you will have removed all the excess junk! Great for travel and gym trips. You can also put it in a small loose eyeshadow container, its my favorite because you can throw it into your bag and not even notice. Enjoy!
