Is it the sick season for anyone else? I’ve been crazy lethargic & just all-around not feeling great. Which means I’m spending a lot of quality time with my computer screen. Emails. Games. & catching up on TV. Being sick has never been so convenient. I thought it might be fun to talk about 5 things that make being sick more bearable- sound good? Keep reading!
Pay attention to what you drink.
Staying hydrated really helps when you’re sick! Keep up with fluids for your health…& your skin! I really love a gentle tea for a tad of flavor. It helps soothe my anxiety too!
Keep everything plugged in near you.
The last thing I want to worry about when I’m curled up in bed or on the couch is my electronics dying. Plug in a power strip nearby so you can keep everything powered up so you won’t get bored.
Have a pen & paper handy.
When I’m “relaxing” is when I tend to come up with great ideas or things that need to be done. Keep a pen & paper nearby to jot down notes so they won’t cloud your mind & you can really relax.
Find music that’s soothing.
I feel like this one can be tough! The key is knowing what you like & what works for you. For me personally- I can’t listen to words when I need to try to fall asleep.
Catch up on TV shows.
Use your computer to watch TV- you can dim the screen & pause when you start to get sleepy. I’ve been catching up on my shows on NBC – did you know you can catch up online?
Check out NBC here & watch my favorite show “The Voice” as well as Blacklist, Heroes Reborn,Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, & Chicago PD over here! What are your favorite NBC shows? How do you stay up-to-date with your favorite episodes?
