I absolutely love L’Occitane & have used their products for years. I think my first product was likely the hand lotion which is a cult favorite! Now they have come out with the L’occitane Au Bresil Collection & it is pretty incredible…& I have 3 products to share with you! Let’s take a look at the L’Occitane Jenipapo Protecting Body Jelly Milk SPF 20, Jenipapo Protecting Body Oil SPF 15, & Vitória Régia Day Flower Body Lotion below!
So, in case you haven’t been around long, I am an SPF freak. I grew up in southern California where I tanned way too much & wore SPF way too little. After growing up some (& moving further from the ocean than I ever thought possible…) I looked at my family history, slapped myself, & now the only tanning I do is from a bottle. SPF on my face is my main concern but SPF on my body isn’t far behind!
Jenipapo is a tree with golden flower found in the Cerrado region in the heart of Brazil- which apparently smells incredible. The Jenipapo Protecting Body Oil with SPF 15 is such a cool product- I don’t know if I own another oil with SPF? The scent is fresh & exotic- definitely something I’d wear night & day because I’m obsessive like that. If you love the glowy look of a body oil but don’t want to bake your skin (which you shouldn’t!) then this is perfection!
Another product in this line is the Jenipapo Protecting Body Jelly Milk with SPF 20. If you aren’t an oil fan but also don’t want a thick lotion- this is your best option from the Brazil collection. The Jelly Milk is just as scented but has more of a moisurizing gel feeling packed into a thin lotion. I love that both products come with a pump as well.
So the one product of the 3 without SPF is also from a completely different line- that’s the Vitória Régia Body Lotion. This lotion “captures the scent of the white, newly blossomed Vitória-Régia petals in an aquatic fragrance marked with green freshness” which is a completely new scent to me! There is also notes of orange, lemon, & apple so it is kind of an energized floral scent. I don’t find the scent too overpowering so it doesn’t clash with perfumes- in fact I’d like this scent in some kind of perfume to layer it on to last longer! It is an easy, clean moisturizing lotion that isn’t too dense or too thin.
Now just because these are all body products don’t think that’s all that is available in the L’Occitane Au Bresil line- there’s a lot more. I’d really love to get my hands on the Mandacaru products so I can give them a sniff & the fragrances since I love these scents so much. You can check out all of their products on the L’Occitante site to find what will be best for you.
What are your favorite L’Occcitane products? Will you be checking out their Brazil inspired collection? How do you keep your skin safe in the heat?
