If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile then you know how much I love many Maybelline products. From the Maybelline Color Tattoos to the Maybelline Color Whispers I’m a big fan. Besides the Maybelline Color Tattoos though…I really don’t have any eyeshadow singles! I’ve picked up a few but that was year ago & they weren’t on par. Today I’m sharing a shade I know a lot about: taupe. How could I pass that up? Keep reading to see how it stacks up!
I wish you could hear the sigh from my husband when I get excited about a new taupe. But he just can’t begin to understand! My mom has a hard time too. No one understands me. Taupes are my grab & go color, effortless but put together. They can lean a bit gray or brown or purple but they always have some kind of interest. This is important to me or else a neutral feels too bland.
Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Single in Tastefully Taupe looks quite cool & grey in the pan. On the eye & swatched it definitely warms up & leans more brown. You can see it looks different in various lighting which makes it so interesting. This is a satin & it is beautifully pigmented. The texture is also very nice & is easy for me to work with. On top of all that…it was only around $3!
This definitely has me wondering if I’ve been missing out on other shades in this line! Are there any I need to check out? Any other drugstore taupes I’ve been overlooking?
