Camera Ready Cosmetics sells a wide range of products but this is my first order I’ve ever placed. I have been so excited for it to arrive! I finally decided to pull the trigger & pick up the correct shade of powder from Ben Nye which meant I had to buy more products right? Right! Completely logical! Camera Ready Cosmetics carries brands that really appeal to me & many that I can’t find in stores like Eve Pearl, Sugarpill, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, & tons more. I’m pretty excited to have found it! It is rare I order from a site directly when I only want to buy one or two things so to have them all in one place is way more convenient.I’ll have some mini reviews below but expect some full reviews coming up!
Ben Nye Bella Luxury Powder in Cameo- I purchased the Ben Nye Banana Powder last year which was a poorly researched purchase. Oh the hype. I’m not saying that particular product isn’t fab because it totally is…but the shade was wayyy too dark & yellow for my fair skin. Cameo is perfection & exactly what I needed. This powder is the best undereye setting powder I’ve ever used, hands down. I really like the Make Up For Ever setting powder & ther ELF one too actually but this provides a bit of coverage which I definitely need. It doesn’t look cakey, just sets the concealer perfectly.
Ben Nye Cake Liner in Black- This is an ultra black cake liner & the packaging is quite simple. I used to use cake liner a long time ago when I was in dance, mostly to set my liner. I’ve really been enjoying this because with the right brush, it is effortless. I can apply a thin or thick line, set it with the same powder, apply a second coat without an issue, & it wears beautifully. I’ll be testing this out a lot more.
Ben Nye LiquiSet Mixing Liquid- I bought this because I figured it would work better than the water I used to use ages ago. It is supposed to make the liner last much longer & apply better so I figured I might as well test that theory. I’ve only used it a few times so I’ll have to do some comparisons with water in an upcoming review. This is a really large amount, 1 ounce, & it will take forever for me to get through it.
La Femme Cake Eyeliner in Copper- Sadly this was the one item that didn’t wow me. Because it is in the shade Copper, I was expecting something with a bit of richness or bling to it. This is only $3.99 so it was cheaper than the other cake liners so I took a shot in the dark. It is pretty but it is definitely a red brown. It is also matte. This doesn’t apply very smoothly either so I need to layer it on evenly. I really have to work with it. I will say it lasts a very long time though! I’m willing to try other cake liners from this brand…hopefully in a shade that works better for me!
Z-Palette in Small Leopard- I freaking love Z-Palettes. These are magnetic palettes where you can store your pans directly & more them around. I have one large palette & I’ve loved it! I definitely plan to pick up more but I went for a small because I have some Tarte items that need a new home specifically! I think I’ll get another small one specifically for different cake liner shades so I have a palette to work from. Love these, I can’t speak highly enough about them.
Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadow in Dollipop- Let me start off by saying this my first Sugarpill purchase…ever. I KNOW! I’ve been to IMATS, events, & seen amazing reviews but somehow I still hadn’t checked this brand out. Kick me. This is a vibrant hot pink & worth every penny. I’m very impressed & will definitely be buying more shades.
You can purchase all of these items from http://camerareadycosmetics.com/ I’m very happy with my order & will definitely be making more! What do you think of the items I chose? Want to see full reviews on any of them? Let me know in the comments!
