Zoya knows their stuff. In fact, the Zoya fairies likely pluck nail polish dreams from my brain & then turn them into something even better. This collection of Zoya Pixie Dust polishes for Summer 2013 (See my first review of Zoya Pixie Dust Polishes here!) is bright, fabulously textured, & an absolute knockout. It is all kinds of fabulosity & I’m actually going to claim Stevie as my namesake since it rocks my world more than Stephanie! Keep reading to see my swatches & review!
I added this picture of Beatrix because I love being able to see the texture! So just to get it out of the way & so I don’t continuously repeat myself all of the swatches below are 2 coats, no base or top coat. I let the coats dry in between so you can see these shades totally matte. You can obviously throw top coat on as well but it won’t have the textured sugar look. If you guys want to see them with tops coat, just let me know! Removal on these isn’t bad for me & I remove them like your average polish.
IMPORTANT PixieDust Application Information – Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The PixieDust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!
Zoya Solange- This polish contains gold pigment exclusive to Zoya & is definitely a yellow based gold. I imagine this is what Dorthy walked on in a real life Wizard of Oz & I actually really enjoy this shade. Dries to a matte, sugared, sparkle finish. 2 coats.
Zoya Beatrix- A metallic tangerine with same sized gold. Looks a lot like orange candy. Dries to a matte, sugared, sparkle finish. 2 coats.
Zoya Destiny- A very red based saturated coral with gold glitter. Dries to a matte, sugared, sparkle finish. 2 coats. This is absolutely beautiful & really a stunning combo. Because it is so saturated I actually think it will work on all skintones which isn’t normally something I say about corals. ( I also want to point out this leans more red on some other people! I’m just so far that apparently I bring out the coral orange-osity!)
Zoya Miranda- A feminine, easy to wear rose shade. Dries to a matte, sugared, sparkle finish. 2 coats.
Zoya Stevie- A gorgeous lavender with awesome coverage that contains silver glitter. Such a gorgeous shade which is why I’m claiming it for my namesake! Dries to a matte, sugared, sparkle finish. 2 coats.
Zoya Liberty- A brightened cyan blue. Dries to a matte, sugared, sparkle finish. 2 coats. Unfortunately I’m wearing this right now (have been for 3 days! Love it!) & it does stain. I added base coat & found no issue. I think maybe adding a color (like another polish) beneath would be an issue but I’ve found base coat is okay. I also find this to be brighter & more saturated in person.
The Zoya Summer Pixie Dusts are available all together in a collection sampler for $54 and individually for $9 each.Normally I post my top picks here but honestly I can’t decide! I love these all! They are each different & original. I am loving this texture wave & riding it straight into summer!
