Dupes?: Maybelline Metal Icon & China Glaze Stone Cold Swatches

So I was asked to put up a comparison post about these last week & I’m just now pulling it from the vault! These AREN’T dupes but I do like both of them a lot, especially for fall!

Index & ring finger are Stone Cold from China Glaze. Middle & pinkie are Metal icon from Maybelline Color Show.

Stone Cold was from the China Glaze Capital Collection released earlier this year. I picked it up on sale & am so glad I did! Maybelline Metal Icon is from the Fall 2012 Collection. I swatched all of these polishes & actually rather enjoyed them all.

Stone Cold is obviously matte but I’m looking at colors. Now you can change any shade from shiny to matte & back with an easy top coat so I don’t really count that.

Metal icon leans way more bronze/champagne while Stone Cold is significantly darker & leans silver. While Stone Cold is a medium-dark charcoal gray with silver shimmer, Metal Icon is a meium silver gray with a bronze/champagne shimmer.

Definitely not dupes, but I love them both! What do you think, do you like one more than another?
