I am still incredibly in love with my Lorac Pro Palette (full review here!). It made my yearly favorites (check them out here!) but it is so much more than that. Many of my go-to shades are in this palette & they really work for me. When the 2nd palette came out I was also immensely excited. Like more than a normal person should be about a palette? I don’t review extremely disappointing products often…but when I do I tend to rock out to angry music & really throw a tantrum. With all the beautiful makeup available in every single price range, I tend to get a bit angry when I spend money on garbage. & it is rare I call something trash or garbage too. I’ve made a major error & I need to apologize. I’m so sorry I’ve fallen in love with a palette that has already sold out online except for Amazon. I tend to try & review items for longer than most apparently & not I’ve waited too long for this rave review. Trust me when I say you need to get your hands on this palette.
The Smashbox Master Class 3 Palette is limited edition & the first in the series I’ve picked up. The other palettes were pretty but just not what I was looking for. They weren’t as pretty as this one from what I can remember & something about the packaging just wasn’t right. They weren’t as travel-friendly which is important to me for when I actually travel. Shall we talk about my love of glitter & glitz? I think we should! Nothing screams holidays to me quite like an abundance of shimmer & glitters. I adore the drama & the shine that catches all the lights. Glitter can get a seriously bad reputation- something meant only for the young & chunky + uncomfortable to wear. That just isn’t true anymore- there are options for us glitter aficionados…& I’m going to share one of my favorite intense shimmer options with you today!
Lorac Lustre Drops are nothing new to me- I pick them up whenever possible. I actually reviewed a similar limited edition set last year around this time which you can see here. The two shades of Lorac Lustre Drops that are permanent & available year-round are Diamond & Gold which are both gorgeous. Last year the shades in my set were Diamond, Platinum, Amethyst, & Topaz. I’ve been using Covergirl products for…forever it seems like. Here I’m sharing some completely new ones to me to spice things up a bit. I also did an easy look that can translate into fall easily. & a lip color that is an instant new favorite.
The Covergirl Eye Enhancers Quad of eyeshadows in Sugar Coated is unlike any other shade selection I own from the drugstore- which is of course why it was the first one I grabbed. From left to right we have a warm honey neutral, softened sky blue with a touch of golden sheen, cool plum-toned brown, & a green-toned blackened teal. All of these shade contain shimmer but with a small array of neutral mattes it gives you some lovely options.
I haven’t tried a Covergirl blush in a long time so I opted for an old favorite- the Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Rock ‘n Rose. The pigmentation is soft & easy to blend so it works great on my fair skin. I actually don’t mine the touch of sheen other- I think it comes off as a healthy glow to further up the value of this rose shade.
I own quite a few Covergirl lipsticks but Euphoria has been on my list for some time! My local stores are always sold out but I snapped it up last time I was at Walmart! This is a pink-toned berry shade. It has an underlying brightness but is still so seasonally appropriate. Isn’t this color pretty?
Last up is the only Covergirl mascara i haven’t tried- Covergirl All-in-One Professional Mascara in Very Black. I’ll admit my love for Covergirl mascaras to random strangers but I love a more dramatic lash. If you like more natural looking lashes then this is quite nice & I think with some drying out it would layer up nicely. You can find the Covergirl #GirlsCan displays in the cosmetics section at Walmart for both the Profession & the Flamed Out Mascara.
