Jane Cosmetics Eyeshadows in River Rock & Juniper Review, Swatches, & Eye Look

Jane has been completely redone & I had to check it out. I found these eyeshadows at my local ULTA store (you can see them online here) but you can also see them on the Jane website. I used Jane all through middle school so I was really excited about the revamp. The prices are much higher than they used to be but the quality has also changed! Keep reading to see my thoughts on the Jane Eyeshadows in River Rock & Juniper & how I used them!

Lets start with packaging! These eyeshadows do come sealed (yay!) & have basic black packaging with peek windows on top along with the Jane name. On the back we have the shade name, barcode, & product basics. You receive 2.5 grams per container. These are also labeled on back as Shimmer or Matte or whathaveyou so if you have a hard time telling in the store or online it is an easy indicator. The shades themselves have a beautiful floral imprint, nice touch.

 photo JaneEyeshadowSwatchesReviewTutorialinJuniperampRiverRock04_zps2077856d.jpg

On the left is Juniper which is a smokey slightly blackened shimmering blue/green. Very much a peacock or sultry mermaid shade. River Rock was an easy shade choice because it is a shimmering silver based taupe. Taupe people, I’m all about the taupe.

Left to right: Jane Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Juniper & River Rock.

These swatched effortlessly & without fallout. They are both quite buttery without being too soft. Both are swatched without primer. The first photo is regular swatches & the second is with flash so you can see the blue/green shimmer really pop as it does when the light hits it.

 photo JaneEyeshadowSwatchesReviewTutorialinJuniperampRiverRock003_zps6dc41b86.jpg

For the eye look I did use primer (I just usually do) & did something basic. If you’re wondering about what’s on my lips, brows, face, or eyeliner I’ll be posting about them later on today! I used River Rock as a singular eyelid shade & then blended with a neutral shade as a matte highlight at the browbone. I lined my eyes with a black eyeliner then topped it off with Juniper for a smokey pop of color.

 photo JaneEyeshadowSwatchesReviewTutorialinJuniperampRiverRock09_zpsb5f41427.jpg
 photo JaneEyeshadowSwatchesReviewTutorialinJuniperampRiverRock011_zps0c8571e5.jpg

I’m really happy with this look & it was super easy to create! I think it is simple but very pretty & flattering for day or night. I think adding Juniper this way to a day look really takes it to night with ease as well.

 photo JaneEyeshadowSwatchesReviewTutorialinJuniperampRiverRock010_zps34df4ae1.jpg

They have lots of colors in this line ranging from mattes to shimmers to metallics. Lots of color options! I opted for two shimmers because I just loved the colors & I’ll probably be picking up some more. I have been using matte shades out of palettes so that’s why I went with some new shimmers. The pricing is quite steep for a drugstore sided eyeshadow at $8 each. I only picked them up because they were on sale 2 for $10 at ULTA & you can also use the ULTA coupons on them.

What do you think of the look I created? Are these eyeshadows you’d be drawn to? Have you tried anything from Jane that I need to seek out next time?

I’m the first to say foundation is something I have trouble with. I have combination dry skin so moisturizers are a huge part of my life & often clash with anything long wearing. I also have freckles (oh, you didn’t know? ha.) so sometimes too full coverage & I can look like a completely different person & too light & all I notice are my freckles. I love my freckles, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes just uhg. When I was given the opportunity to work with the oh-so-famous Temptu & try out one of their Temptu Airbrush Makeup Kits to try out. The best part is they’re also giving one away to one of my readers! Keep reading to see my thoughts, video of my first impressions, & to enter to win your very own set!

Eyeshadow: The kryptonite for me personally. I love blushes, highlighters, lip products…everything pretty much but lately I’ve come to realize eyeshadows are my “thing”. When the Laura Mercier Petite Baked Eye Colour Bonbons in the Emerald Trio (which is limited edition!) arrived on my doorstep…oh man I can’t even express how excited I was to see it in person. Pictures can’t even do these incredible shades justice…but I tried! Also, I did an eye look which I’m totally in love with using these shades & I think it turned out lovely! Keep reading to check everything out!

The trio of baked eyeshadows come housed in a sleek & very Laura Mercier-esque rectangle case which also has a mirror. On the back you have your basic information as well as the 3 shade names in the palette which is handy to refer to. Like I said, this is a limited edition trio but it is housed in the classic type packaging.

From Laura Mercier: Dress up your holiday look this season with Laura Mercier’s Petite Baked Eye Colour Bonbons – Multi-Finish. Featuring three Baked Eye Colours in a range of finishes – from matte to shimmer – this petite and portable palette is the perfect way to take your look from day to night. For an even wash of colour, apply dry, or for more vibrant shimmer, simply dampen brush with water and apply wet.

From left to right we have Aqua, Malachite, & Emerald. The first photo above…yeah that’s the opposite. Sorry about that ya’ll I had to hold it funny for a naturally lit shot. It is indeed winter here & I take what I can get! Aren’t they just gorgeous though? The shimmer on these…yum!

 photo LauramercierEmeraldEyeTrioReviewSwatchesHoliday2013EyeTutorialDIY06_zps34e070c9.jpg

Swatches left to right: Aqua, Malachite, & Emerald. (dampened, no primer)

I chose to swatch these wet so you can see them intense plus I actually like them wet a bit more for the crazy pigment. Dry they’re lovely as well but they are much lighter. Aqua is an ultra light blue frost with a bit of micro glitter, I love this as a highlighter used wet or dry. Malachite is ridiculously lovely. I see the base as like a classic blue jean with golden shimmer that creates nearly a duochrome. Emerald is a deep emerald green shimmer with amazing pigmentation that looks smoky & absolutely packed with gorgeous light catching shimmer.

 photo LauraMercierEmeraldEyeTrioReview2013EyeTutorialDIYEyeLook011_zps314b6bc1.jpg
 photo LauraMercierEmeraldEyeTrioReview2013EyeTutorialDIYEyeLook012_zps11aa5056.jpg

I wanted to show a look that was a bit more dramatic (obviously these are awesome used separately or dry) so I went with a wet application over a primer. The only extra eyeshadow I used was a neutral, matte shade that matches my skintone for my highlight shade.

 photo LauraMercierEmeraldEyeTrioReview2013EyeTutorialDIYEyeLook03_zps913a6b3f.jpg
 photo LauraMercierEmeraldEyeTrioReview2013EyeTutorialDIYEyeLook04_zps1b3c5f61.jpg

I also used my Laura Mercier Baked Matte Powder in Highlight which I reviewed here as my highlight. I’m wearing Laura Mercier Nouveau Weightless Lip Color in Coy which I reviewed along with other shades from the line here. I rock this lip color quite often in my day to day life! You’re probably sick of me wearing this beloved highlight like all the time but I don’t care because it is amazing!

The Laura Mercier Petite Baked Eye Colour Bonbons in Emerald Trio is available for only $25 which I think is quite nice for such lovely shades. They also have an Amethyst Trio & a Bronze Trio available, also limited edition. You can purchase this trio from the Laura Mercier website, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, & wherever you are able to find Laura Mercier limited edition collections.

What do you think of this trio? Would you rock this kind of look for the holidays? I think I might use Emerald as a smoky, effortless eyeliner!

PR Sample. I bought it.

I love easy fall nail art! Fall colors are just so rich & fabulous. I wanted to show some really easy nail art & stuff doesn’t get much easier than these random length & width stripes. I picked some fall-ish colors & had to use Sally Hansen Gold Roses as a background. I still just love this color & hate that it is limited edition! If you haven’t seen my swatches of this shade check them out! & without further chatter here are my easy shiny & matte fall brush strokes nail art!
I’ll link the shades I’ve swatched below in case you want to see them on their own! I love all of these shades & the way they came together.

& here it is mattified! I used Butter LONDON Matte Finish.

Surprisingly…I totally dig this matte! I think it adds more interest to the stripes since you honestly can’t keep that gorgeous rose gold base shade down, it is vibrantly awesome & truly rose gold no matter what! Love!

I hope you guys enjoyed this, I’ve been trying to come up with some easier nail art (as you guys have requested!) so I hope this was quick & easy! I’d love to see if you try something similar & I think I might try a holiday version later on as well!

I love me so shimmer. I love glitz, dramatic makeup, subdued glamor, I love it all.I currently own the Lorac Lustre Drops in Gold & absolutely love it. I use it on my eyes & even sometimes in the center of my lip or on my cheek bones. perfect multitasking gold year round but especially during the holiday season! When I saw Lorac was offering the Lorac Rockin’ Red Hot 3D Liquid Lustre Set containing 4 new to me (one shade is permanent while the other 3 are limited edition) for a fraction of the price I was thrilled! Keep reading to see what I thought!

From Lorac-
Amp up your look with LORAC’s Rockin’ Red Hot 3D Liquid Lustre Set! Featuring our original, best-selling Diamond shade (white gold) plus 3 limited edition shades in Platinum (silver), Amethyst (taupe), and Topaz (warm bronze). This paraben-free, long-lasting, shimmering top coat can be applied over eye shadow or worn alone on eyes and cheeks for luminous, prismatic, 3-Dimensional sparkle and shine. Refuse to be 1-Dimensional and go 3D with LORAC!

 photo Lorac3DLustreliquidDropsRockinRedHotHoliday2013SetDiamondPlatinumAmethystTopazReviewSwatches05_zpsb2517904.jpg

Basically I wanted this because I was planning to buy the Lorac 3D Liquid Lustre Drops in Diamond anyway, why not pick up 3 more shades for a few bucks? The shades in Platinum, Amethyst, & Topaz are limited edition & absolutely lovely. I like that these are wearable shades because I can snaz up a neutral look simply. As much as I love blue/pink shimmer I find that those two shades are quite common as top coats while these are obviously more classic.

 photo Lorac3DLustreliquidDropsRockinRedHotHoliday2013SetDiamondPlatinumAmethystTopazReviewSwatches04_zps762d45ed.jpg

The packaging on these is actually glass & the top is a dropper. You can see the shade names on the bottom. It feels very sturdy & I honestly can’t imagine a better way to store or use this particular product.

 photo Lorac3DLustreliquidDropsRockinRedHotHoliday2013SetDiamondPlatinumAmethystTopazReviewSwatches06_zpsa201451b.jpg

Before shaking, you can see the beautiful shimmer settles. You need to shake it. Seriously.

Here’s a video tutorial/get ready with me using my Lorac Pro to Go Palette (check out this eye look & blog review here) & I actually use a bit of Amethyst. You can see how you have to shake up & mix up the bottle & dropper before using it. This is very important! If you don’t I find it quite hard to use.

In the video that is the most common way I use the Lorac Lustre Drops but you can also use them with a brush, on its own, or as a highlight although that isn’t my favorite. I personally like to apply it to the back of my hand but obviously you can put it on something else if you prefer. They dry quite fast on the eyelids when you gently pat them in but do let them dry. I don’t have issues with creasing but less is more. If you want more shimmer, layer it & don’t just flood your poor eyelid.

 photo Lorac3DLustreliquidDropsRockinRedHotHoliday2013SetDiamondPlatinumAmethystTopazReviewSwatches07_zps3592153b.jpg

Lorac Lustre Drops in Diamond- Adds an iridescent sparkle & a fine golden shimmer. This is lovely over pretty much any eyeshadow & is very versatile. You can buy this shade on its own here.

 photo Lorac3DLustreliquidDropsRockinRedHotHoliday2013SetDiamondPlatinumAmethystTopazReviewSwatches08_zps47b38138.jpg

Lorac Lustre Drops in Platinum- Very metallic & kind of a gunmetal silver. More pigmented. Limited edition at this time & only available in this set.

 photo Lorac3DLustreliquidDropsRockinRedHotHoliday2013SetDiamondPlatinumAmethystTopazReviewSwatches09_zps208f7bba.jpg

Lorac Lustre Drops in Amethyst- A grey/purple/brown type taupe but not as pigmented & more demure. Limited edition at this time & only available in this set.

 photo Lorac3DLustreliquidDropsRockinRedHotHoliday2013SetDiamondPlatinumAmethystTopazReviewSwatches010_zps831aecc5.jpg

Lorac Lustre Drops in Topaz- A copper & bronze shimmer. Perfect to amp up a neutral eye & really catches the light. More pigmented. Limited edition at this time & only available in this set.

 photo Lorac3DLustreliquidDropsRockinRedHotHoliday2013SetDiamondPlatinumAmethystTopazSwatches02_zpsccc169a2.jpg

From left to right we have Lorac 3D Liquid Lustre Drops in Diamond, Platinum, Amethyst, & Topaz.

Obviously they are more spectacular (at least in my opinion) over eyeshadow or a base of some kind. They draw in & reflect light so beautifully & add a bit of dimension. I hope they make at least a few of these shades part of their permanent collection! If they come out with more next year I’d love to see an emerald, cranberry, & maybe even some kind of holo. Wouldn’t that be fantabulous?

This set retails for $28 but it worth $64 & I just couldn’t pass it up. I actually purchased mine off Amazon with free shipping which is super handy but they’re also available on the Lorac website. I haven’t seen these available in stores but they are on the ULTA website now & labeled as online only.

Have you tried any of the Lorac Lustre Drops? What do you think of this set?

Lorac Pro to Go Palette Review + Swatches + Eyeshadow Tutorial

November 16, 2013 By StephanieLouise 252Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F11%2Florac-pro-to-go-palette-review-swatches.htmlLorac+Pro+to+Go+Palette+Review+%2B+Swatches+%2B+Eyeshadow+Tutorial2013-11-16+15%3A22%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F11%2Florac-pro-to-go-palette-review-swatches-eyeshadow-tutorial.html

 photo LoracProtoGoReviewSwatchesEyeLookMain_zps4cddcca9.jpg
I bought it. Affiliate links.

When it comes to a quick & easy eyeshadow look, palettes are unrivaled. I mean, everything you need eyeshadow-wise in one very convenient cube? Well, Lorac took it a step further (because they’re boss) & added 2 blushes, a bronzer, & a truly unique palette design. Keep reading to see my review, my eyeshadow look with video tutorial, & my overall thoughts of the Lorac Pro to Go Palette!

 photo LoracProtoGoPalettepackagingFolds01_zps193f3036.jpg

The packaging itself is simple & very Lorac. With packaging that is identical in feel & look to the Lorac Pro original palette you’ll notice this palette folds & unfolds at different angles. How cool is that? Have it open all at one or just use it one side at a time, perfect if you’re on the go!

 photo LoracProtoGoReviewSwatchesEyeLook01_zps4c9af117.jpg

Inside from left to right we have the nice sized mirror, 6 eyeshadows, 2 blushes & a bronzer, & 2 travel sized brushes total. Obviously this isn’t everything I’d use to get ready (mascara, lips, etc.) but that is completely okay with me! I actually very rarely use lip products in palettes, I prefer having a single to throw in my bag like a gloss or lipstick for touchups. I feel like this palette is the perfect balance of powder products & shades that I would actually choose to travel with.

 photo LoracProtoGoPaletteSwatchesampReview09_zps74009e80.jpg

So for face products you have 2 blushes & a bronzer. For blush you get Coral (which has some golden shimmer), Pink, & Bronze. Both Pink & Bronze are matte & I particularly like Pink as a base blush with a tad of Coral popped higher on my cheek for a bit of highlighting.

 photo LoracProtoGoPaletteSwatchesBlushampEyeshadow01_zpsfa7e435f.jpg
 photo LoracProtoGoPaletteSwatchesBlushampEyeshadow012_zps59cf7609.jpg

Left to right: Coral, Pink, & Bronze.

I’m extremely fair so Bronze looks a bit more orange on my hand but looks lovely & natural on my face when I use it for contouring lightly.Like i said I think the blushes are beautiful layered but also very pretty used on their own. For my personal coloring I find these shades really flattering. hese are also very pigmented, easy to blend, & have a nice wear time.

 photo LoracProtoGoPaletteSwatchesampReview010_zps5a8107f3.jpg

Eye products are some of my favorite & I really do love these! Inside this palette you receive 6 shades in Pearl, Chai, Mink, Shell, Cafe, & Black. You’ll notice the two lightest shades in Pearl & Shell are substantially larger. I’ve been kind of confused by the reviews I’ve seen because everyone says the top row s shimmer & the bottom row is matte (like the original Lorac Pro palette). This isn’t true. I’ll explain more below!

 photo LoracProtoGoPaletteSwatchesBlushampEyeshadow014_zps0f3d0d41.jpg
 photo LoracProtoGoPaletteSwatchesBlushampEyeshadow013_zpsa231fd6c.jpg

Top row left to right: Pearl (off-white shimmer), Chai (metallic bronze), Mink (cool toned grey/brown taupe with golden bronze shimmer).
Bottom row left to right: Shell (pale cream satin), Cafe (matte medium brown with silver shimmer), Black (matte black).

I think all of these shades are really beautiful: great pigmentation, easy to blend, soft which I prefer. You just touch your brush to them & apply, no swirling needed. I love that you get more of the two lightest shades since I use those the most. I like them both as base shades, highlight, inner corner, & even as face highlighter in a pinch. Black is the only repeated shade from the Lorac Palette which is just fine with me. I love this formula for a black & you can use it as an eyeshadow, to create depth, & even as eyeliner or to soften out harsh eyeliner. Chai & Cafe both do a great job filling the brown/bronze category with Chai being metallic & Cafe looking matte but not flat on the eye. Mink is my personal favorite, I absolutely love this shade. Blended out for daytime or used with a heavier hand for a smoky eye I find it really striking!

So I did a Get Ready with Me video for this look & I really want to start doing more of these because I think they’re fun. I really like how this turned out. Please do remember to subscribe on youtube, I do a lot of videos over there you won’t see here!

 photo LoracProtoGoTutorialOCCLipTarStrumpetVideo01_zpsbd66c1ef.jpg
 photo LoracProtoGoTutorialOCCLipTarStrumpetVideo04_zps52092cbe.jpg
 photo LoracProtoGoTutorialOCCLipTarStrumpetVideo03_zps8eb07515.jpg

Not that I did use a little bit of the new LE Lorac Luster Drops in Amethyst (see more the video).

 photo LoracProtoGoReviewSwatchesEyeLookPinterest01_zpse60dd679.jpg

Overall I’m really happy with my purchase &can see myself traveling with this palette this season. This would be perfect for a weekend away or even a honeymoon or beach vacation. I really love the construction & the color choices were smart. I’m a happy consumer.

Have you tried the Lorac Pro Palette yet? What do you think? Are these shades you’d frequently use?

Kryolan Cake Eyeliner in Green + My Easy Fall Eye Look

November 2, 2013 By StephanieLouise 273Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F11%2Fkryolan-cake-eyeliner-in-green-my-easy.htmlKryolan+Cake+Eyeliner+in+Green+%2B+My+Easy+Fall+Eye+Look2013-11-02+13%3A00%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F11%2Fkryolan-cake-eyeliner-in-green-my-easy-fall-eye-look.html

 photo KryolanGreenCakeLiner04_zpsd1d18ad6.jpg

I picked up this Kryolan Cake Eyeliner awhile back in anticipation of fall. I love green & it seems like the next two months are alllll about the green. If you haven’t used a cake eyeliner before I’ll break it down some more below. Keep reading to see how I’ve been using it!

 photo KryolanGreenCakeLiner02_zps20053474.jpg
 photo KryolanGreenCakeLiner01_zpsf66b1212.jpg

Basically cake liners look like a shadow but you can use water or a mixing medium on them to create an easy to use liner. I have cake liners in various colors from a few brands but I splurged a bit on Kryolan to test out the quality. First of all, this is a really big pan! Usually my cake liners are smaller than a  MAC eyeshadow but this one contains 3.5 grams & is comparable to a Sugarpill eyeshadow size.

 photo KryolanGreenCakeLiner03_zps7e1aca8b.jpg

I like using a mixing medium (currently I’m using Ben Nye) to make cake liners last longer. I apply it straight to the back of my hand, dab a bit on a liner brush, then swipe the product itself. You might need a bit of practice to get the formula right but once you do this sucker stays put pretty well! It is much denser than an eyeshadow & I don’t recommend trying to use it as one. I love this used as a base as well, very nice!

 photo KryolanGreenCakeLinerEyeLook02_zps7783c857.jpg
 photo KryolanGreenCakeLinerEyeLook01_zps0d112742.jpg

I’ve been using it this way lately, just a winged eyeliner look. Simple but a bit more fall & fun. I bought mine from Camera Ready Cosmetics & I will likely be looking into buying more. This brand costs a bit more in the cake liner department but it was really smooth & easy to use.

Have you ever used cake eyeliner? Any favorites?

I bought it.

So for those of you who didn’t see my facebook update a few days ago, I definitely haven’t been up for eye tutorials as of late. I haven’t been sleeping ya’ll, I looked a hot mess. Not sleeping really comes across on my eyes despite my epic concealing powers & I didn’t want you guys to have to do that. After finally starting to feel better I promised to break out a fall eye look. & here it is! I picked up the Sonia Kashuk LE Jewel of an Eye Palette from Target on clearance but was thiiiiis close to buying it full price. Keep reading!

If you haven’t seen this palette yet then you’ve been missing out! Inside you get 12 shades, all shimmering. I have found I can also use them wet or dry which is a big bonus. Most of the shades are jewel toned & fall-centric. Very pretty overall & definitely seasonally appropriate.

 photo SoniaKashukLEJewelofanEyePurpleampBlueSapphireEyeshadowLookReviewEye_zpsd5f19c59.jpg

For this look I actually took a request from my husband who said “You never use navy so I’ll go with that” oh so enthusiastically when asked for his opinion. Har har. I used the first two shades in the top row from left to right & the sapphire shade. I also used a blending shade from the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral Palette which I reviewed here. Seriously, I love that palette & it is permanent. If you dig matte neutrals I highly recommend checking it out. This look is over Urban Decay Eye Primer in Eden as a base.

So there you have it! I did use the blue wet after finishing the look in the center of my lid then softly blended because it had blended out too much to be as noticeable as I wanted. This look was really fun & kind of an off take on a jewel-toned smoky eye.The middle area actually looks more blue in person but if you’ve ever photographed a purple…let me just say they aren’t super cooperative.

This eye look lasted all day without noticeable fading. I don’t have issues with fading much but sometimes wet shadows can flake & this remained quite pretty so I was happy with that! Plus, I just loved this color combo.

Ready for a Revlon overhaul? Revlon & BlogHer were kind enough to send me some products to review & demo for your guys. I have some nail products, eye shadows, eye liners, and foundations. After putting them through the ringer, putting together a pretty fall look, and playing around I have some final thoughts & lots of pictures to share! Oh…and a sweepstakes at the bottom! Woohoo! Keep reading to see more and participate!

Revlon ® ColorStay™ Longwear Nail Enamel
“Gel-like shine, no light required.”
I am a big fan of the Revlon ColorStay Longwear line (check out my past review + nail art!) and was more than happy to add some new shades to my collection. When using the Revlon ColorStay Gel-Smooth Base Coat & Gel-Shine Top Coat you can get up to 11 days of color then use your regular nail polish remover effortlessly. Presto chango & you’re on to a new shade without any damage to the nail! I love the base & top coats & use them frequently. The aforementioned shades are Sequin, Bold Sangria, & Red Carpet. All 3 apply effortlessly ( I used 2 coats but can usually get away with one!) over the base coat & have a brilliant shine after the topcoat.

On my index finger & pinky is Sequin (metallic silver), on my middle finger is Red Carpet (raspberry toned red), & Bold Sangria (red toned wine) is on my ring finger.

Revlon ColorStay™ 16 Hour Eyeshadow
“All day luxurious color that doesn’t crease, fade or smudge.”
I received three quads in the shades Sun Swept, Harmonious, & Free Spirit. While there is varied pigmentation & formulas, I find these are nice for daytime use. They seem to be very buildable so I recommend using the applicator included for denser application & then blending or highlighting with a fluffy brush. My personal favorite is Harmonious, which totally screams fall! Tutorial at the end of this post!

Revlon ColorStay™ Eye Liner
“Beautiful color that lasts all day.”
I have used Revlon ColorStay eyeliners for years, especially on my waterline. The formula is a bit stiff compared to some but that is what makes it so perfect to seal in for a long wearing look. You can create a fine or thick line, comes with a sharpener, & (my favorite part!) it is an automatic pencil. This is a steal for an eye liner that glides effortlessly on the waterline & I always have the shade “Black Brown” on hand.

Revlon ColorStay Whipped™ Crème Makeup
“Flawless finish, all day wear.”
This formula is whipped & buildable to full coverage. Promises all day comfort & 24 hour wear. If you know me then you know I absolutely love this foundation. I use this year-round for an easy full coverage look that doesn’t cake. Having combination/dry skin is really tough because most long wear type products cater to oily but this somehow keeps both spectrums of skin healthy! I can’t rave about this enough & I’ve bought 3 jars so far. Yes. Obsessed. This foundation also comes in a nice glass jar with a stopper (pictured above) to help keep everything in place.

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede™ Lipstick

“Instantly moisturizing; All day color.”

The Revlon Ultimate Suede Lipsticks promise to be instantly moisturizing, last all day, & contain nourishing ingredients like Shea butter, aloe and vitamin E. These are really lovely shades! Backstage is a pink toned cranberry, Muse is a vibrant pink, & Finale looks like kind of a mod orange-y red.

I decided to come up with a look where I could share some of my fall beauty tips for easy wearable eye shadow looks. For this look I decided to go with a traditionally colored (& a bit creative of course!) daytime look for fall using the Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow quad in Harmonious & my favorite Revlon ColorStay eyeliner in Black Brown. Switching to a brown or black/brown shade helps make this look less harsh in the daytime & a bit easier to get away with. It also blends out nicely using the darkest eye shadow shade which is a lovely brown.

To get the look start with the lovely green shade & pat along the lid. Take the peachy orange shade on your inner corner to brighten up. Apply a bit of the dark brown at the very edges. Repeat steps on your bottom lash line. Blend. Apply the lightest shade which is kind of oatmeal toned as your highlight. Apply your Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black/Brown to the inner rims & 2/3rds of the way across top lash line lightly. Sweep a bit of the brown eye shadow over to smudge out. This makes the line look softer.

So what do you think? I’d love to hear what your beauty tips & tricks are! Which favorite beauty tip secret would you like to reveal? Leave it in the comments below and you could win a $50 Visa gift card!
